The horn of war arrived sooner than Jeming imagined.
Less than a month after he registered at the Boundary Point, the Magic Network Terminal emitted a sharp alert—a notification to assemble was prominently listed.
This efficiency far exceeded Jeming's expectations.
He quickly checked all arrangents inside and outside the Golden Garden, and after confirming everything was in order, he used a magic communication rune to contact Viola.
Viola's voice held a hint of excitent, indicating that she too had received the notification, and they agreed to et at the designated spot at the Boundary Point.
Stepping onto the Teleportation Array once more, the figures of Jeming and Viola materialized within that fragnted space at the Boundary Point.
It was still that bizarre scene, with vertical streets, floating shops, and a variety of oddly shaped creatures and servants from the Otherworld, all maintaining a strange harmony like a still oil painting.
However, at this mont, besides the bustling atmosphere, there was a lingering tension and solemnity before the war.
"Are you ready?" Viola's voice rang out, her voice confident. She wore a black tight-fitting leather armor for ease of movent, with two tal magic staffs crossed on her back and a confident smile on her face.
"I'm ready anyti," Jeming nodded.
He wore a black wizard robe, with six floating cannon arrays faintly visible behind him like wings.
Viola's smile slightly faded. She turned to Jeming, her tone becoming serious: "Jeming, once we enter the War Plane, besides the indigenous people of the Plane, you must be especially cautious of the Tower of Annihilation and the Chaos Secret Sect's wizards."
"Although our Nolun Workshop cooperates with them, we do not belong to the sa influence. On the battlefield, interests often co first, and it's not unusual for them to do sothing outrageous to seize spoils of war."
"After all, we do not belong to the sa influence. If you encounter them, it's better to be cautious. On the surface, they won't backstab you, but behind the scenes, they could pull so tricks, which is quite common."
"Rember, never completely trust your back to wizards from a different origin." Viola's words were concise and direct.
Jeming's expression turned solemn, and he nodded seriously: "I understand, senior. I will be careful."
He understood the reality of wizards, that precisely because wizards are rational, a sufficient interest could lead them to rational action.
The two of them waited for another two days at the Boundary Point.
During these two days, wizards from the three factions continued to pour in, the hall filled with chatter, tumultuous and deafening.
Most of the wizards wore standard or self-made magic robes, equipped with various witchcraft artifacts.
Their bodies emitted different elental fluctuations, forming a peculiar sense of pressure despite the mixed aura.
Finally, it was ti to gather.
Tens of thousands of wizards packed the registration hall, even extending into the "streets" outside.
The majority were First and Second Level Wizards, the cannon fodder and executors that ford the foundation of the wizard legion.
High Level Wizards of Third Level and above started to beco sparse, usually being squad commanders or elite forces responsible for specific strategic points.
As for Fourth Level Wizards, they were as rare as phoenix feathers, and each one could easily draw a crowd's attention.
As all the wizards waited for instructions, the sky above the Boundary Point, initially a backdrop of chaotic void, suddenly beca shrouded by a massive shadow.
The sky darkened abruptly, and an indescribable enormous outline, like the body of a prehistoric giant beast, slowly erged from the void.
It was a desolate land with scorched mountains and deep ravines, exuding an ancient and wild atmosphere.
"That's a leased war plane provided by the Boundary Point," Viola looked up at the continent floating in the void and explained to Jeming, "It's the 'ship' for our campaign this ti."
"A ship?"
Jeming instinctively recalled his rare journeys to other planes, once by teleportation and once being directly thrown into it by High Tier Wizards at the workshop.
"The situation in the Elorcia Plane was an exception. Normally, outside every plane, there is an infinitely large chaotic void," Viola began to educate Jeming.
"Although called void, it's not a hollow without energy or matter. On the contrary, the chaotic void teems with many scattered elents, richer than inside any plane. The emphasis of the chaotic void lies in the word 'chaos'."
She paused, pointing at the desolate plane in the sky and then at the subtly wavering intangible forces around the fragnted space of the Boundary Point: "The basic four elents we are familiar with—earth, fire, wind, and water—are constrained by rules within the plane, stably forming matter, energy, space, and ti."
"However, outside the plane, the chaotic void, due to extre chaos, is filled not only with various scattered and complex matter and energy, but even ti and space themselves are extrely chaotic. Ti might suddenly speed up or slow down, space might twist and fold at any ti, and rules are constantly changing."
"If an ordinary being were directly exposed to the chaotic void, it might be torn apart by the chaotic ti and space, or even the chaotic rules, and turn into nothingness," Viola's tone carried a hint of warning, "Only Sixth Level Wizards and above can truly wander outside the plane."
Jeming nodded thoughtfully; he knew about this point.
The reason Sixth Level Wizards can survive in the Chaotic Void is because they have mastered Law Solidification Technology.
This technology can be applied not just to external objects, but also to themselves, allowing them to maintain a certain stability within the Chaotic Void.
They can forcibly solidify the laws around them, forming a temporarily stable area, thus allowing them to linger in the void briefly.
"But even so, Sixth Level Wizards don't dare to expose themselves to the Chaotic Void for too long," Viola continued, "because besides those twisted laws, ti, and space, the chaotic matter and energy will constantly erode the wizard's very existence. Even Sixth Level Wizards cannot withstand such endless wear for long."
"And what we call a plane is actually a miracle that occasionally appears in the infinitely large Chaotic Void." Viola pointed to the vast barren continent above, with a touch of emotion in her voice.
"When certain elents, which particularly fit the laws, accidentally accumulate together, they form the prototype of a plane. When the total mass of these elent clusters exceeds a certain limit, they spontaneously form a plane barrier."
"The so-called plane barrier actually has the ability to forcibly assimilate and absorb all the chaotic elents it contacts in the Chaotic Void into the plane's interior. Essentially, it is a natural assimilation ability ford by the convergence of massive elents, capable of actively excluding everything that does not belong within the plane, thus maintaining the stability and developnt of the plane."
Viola's explanation made Jeming understand.
"But whether it's the Chaotic Void or the plane barrier, we Low Tier Wizards cannot break through them with our own abilities." Jeming instinctively replied, "But High Tier Wizards need us Low Level Wizards as cannon fodder and executors, so the only thod is to use a 'plane' as a 'vessel' to carry us through the void and ram through the barrier of the target plane."
"That's right, no wonder you're the student favored by Professor Clark, you're quite smart!"
Viola smiled with satisfaction, "But the High Level Wizards who need the power of Low Tier Wizards definitely don't have their own planes yet. Because if they already had their own planes, they could entirely form their own vassal armies and wouldn't need to share spoils with us. This is the main reason Boundary Point provides plane leasing."
Jeming sighed internally.
Viola's words explained many of the doubts he had in his heart before.
No wonder the Sixth Level Wizards, despite having strong powers, live like beasts of burden.
Whether it's leasing a war plane capable of traversing the void and carrying an army or hiring wizards like them for expeditions, it requires a substantial expenditure of resources and knowledge.
Not to ntion, even after conquering the target plane, it still requires a considerable amount of resources to transform it, establish a Wizard Tower, and construct an energy network.
Thinking this way, Professor Clark, who has his own "Wizard Tower," is truly a super being standing at the pinnacle of the wizard hierarchy.
Professor Clark's personal plane was clearly built and maintained with countless resources.
His wealth and strength far exceed his imagination.
While Viola was introducing, all the wizards in the hall also turned their eyes towards the barren continent in the sky, which would soon beco their "warship."
At this mont, four figures suddenly descended from the barren plane in the sky.
They floated in mid-air like four towering mountains, exuding an indescribable powerful aura.
Three among them were Fifth Level Wizards.
Their aura was robust yet restrained, with faint law fluctuations circulating around them, and although it was just a natural dispersion of power, it still left most of the low tier wizards below feeling breathless and in awe.
The remaining one was a Sixth Level Wizard initiating this expedition.
He walked at the forefront of the four, his figure not tall but like the center of a world.
He did not emanate any deliberate pressure, but just his existence seed to solidify the surrounding space.
Every tiny movent he made seed to align with the laws of heaven and earth, giving off an overwhelming and incomprehensible power.
Although Jeming often encountered his professors and other High Tier Wizards at the Nolun Academy, when he t Fifth and Sixth Level Wizards from other influences, he couldn't help but feel a tightening in his heart.
It was a natural response of his body, a physiological fear deep in his soul, recognizing the presence of an invincible superior.
Even without that Sixth Level Wizard, the re presence of the three Fifth Level Wizards was already enough to make Jeming's body involuntarily tremble.
It suddenly dawned on him that after interacting more with the professors at Nolun Academy, he had subconsciously regarded their highly restrained grandeur and energy as the norm.
He had beco accustod to their gentleness and subtlety, misjudging the extent of a High Tier Wizard's power.
It's like casually observing tigers behind thick bars at the zoo without a care, even finding them a bit lazy and clumsy.
But should he encounter a real tiger, unard in the wilderness, even if it wasn't as robust as those bred in the zoo and appeared emaciated.
Its predator's aura would still inevitably send shivers down one's spine, leaving one's legs weak.
