This Nascent Soul Stage Venerable was just as bewildered as they were. He had acted quickly. The mont the conflict between Zhang Yuge and Ji Zidian had escalated beyond control, he had sent a ssage to the Immortal Alliance high command requesting aid. But everything had erupted far too quickly. From the shattering of the void and the terrifying torrent of thunder spilling forth, to the cataclysmic thunderstorm that threatened to obliterate Vermilion Bird City—it all happened in the span of a dozen breaths. Elder Hao and his companions hadn’t delayed for a second. To get there in ti, several Great Abilities at the Ergence Stage had even directly mobilized the Other Shore Ark, shattering the void to arrive at an unimaginable speed, terrified they would fail to protect the future of the Nanzhou Immortal Alliance. Yet, they still hadn’t made it.

With just a few words, he had made the tide of thunder retreat!

It wasn’t that they couldn’t accept the existence of previously unknown cultivators with the potential of a hidden dragon. Such figures had appeared many tis throughout the history of the cultivation world. If you told them an underdog had erged from the ranks of the True Disciples of the Longhu Immortal Sect, or even from the other True Disciples of the Sanqing Immortal Sect’s Thunder Sect, they would still be surprised.
