Guba curled his lips, suggesting a solution that wasn’t really a solution.

"If you ask , why are you so fixated on this insignificant Cangyuan Realm? With your current strength, it’s absolutely impossible to challenge the mighty army of the Demon Sea Island," Guba sighed, resuming his earnest and heartfelt persuasion. "Why not do as I say? Capture Ye Miedie first, then use her Boundary Break Shuttle to enter the Abyss Demon Realm and inherit the Destruction Demon Kingdom. The Nether Demon Clan will follow your every command, aiding you in accomplishing great things! Once you return as the Demon Emperor, do you think they would dare refuse you this tiny Cangyuan Realm?"
His proposal was very tempting.
But Wang Xiu didn’t even consider it. He had always felt that things hadn’t reached the point of complete despair.
Suddenly, a spark of inspiration flashed through his mind as he recalled sothing. "You ntioned before that the Heavenly Demon Massacre Array... requires the sacrifice of a group of demons with pure faith in the Demon God, correct?"
Guba was taken aback for a mont, then nodded. "Yes, what about it?"
Wang Xiu’s eyes glinted as he asked, "What if the faith of those being sacrificed isn’t pure enough, not sincere enough... what would happen then?"
Guba shook his head without a second thought. "How could that be possible? The faith of the Demon Race in the Great Demon God is ingrained in our very bones, in our blood!"
Even Guba himself held a deep, unwavering faith in the Great Demon God, the ancestral source of his bloodline.
He had never imagined Wang Xiu would even consider such an idea. It was preposterous! For the Demon God, for their race... to die without regret was to die in glory. They would not hesitate even if ordered to kill themselves!
"What if?" Wang Xiu pressed, his gaze burning with intense light.
"If... if that were to truly happen, and the Demon God couldn’t feel their sincere Power of Faith, perhaps He wouldn’t bestow His grace!" Guba said, steeling himself. This was only a guess, of course. After all, such a thing had never happened before. How could the Demon Race possibly lack faith in the Great Demon God? To be blunt, infighting within the Demon Race was commonplace; killing one’s own father wasn’t even that unusual. But when it ca to the deity at the source of their bloodline, that faith would never waver. Their very blood would not allow it.
"We won’t know until we try," Wang Xiu said, exhaling a long breath as his gaze fell upon his desk.
There lay a book—a storybook.
That’s right!
This was one of the recreational activities the Demon Race had learned from the Human Race. In fact, aside from the brothels, it was the most popular form of entertainnt. Because it was cheap, even the lowest-ranking Demonic Beasts could afford it. At worst, a few demons would pool their money to buy one and take turns reading.
I’ve flipped through it before. The author is unknown, but the content isn’t much different from the storybooks popular in the Cangyuan Realm. Moreover... they didn’t grasp the essence of it. It was utterly dull. I could only get through a few pages before I had to stop. I have no idea why those Demonic Beasts can read it with such relish.
"Faith... ideology... they are not immutable! You don’t understand the power of cultural invasion..." Wang Xiu murmured, slowly pulling out a blank booklet, picking up his brush, and beginning to write.

It was a bookstore in Three Origins City, and also the place in the entire city with the strongest Human Race atmosphere. From its na and layout to the overall ambiance, everything was spot-on.
"Boss, are there any new storybooks? I’ve grown tired of the old ones..." a Minotaur said in a deep, resonant voice after browsing for a long ti.
"Where would I get so many new storybooks?" the shopkeeper grumbled, stroking his goatee and rolling his eyes. These days, the ones writing storybooks are all a bunch of low-ranking Demonic Beasts who can barely feed themselves. Why would any real lord deign to do such a penniless craft?
Suddenly, he seed to rember sothing and stopped the Minotaur, who was about to leave. "Wait, there actually is one, but the author is a newcor with no previous works... How about it? Care to give it a try?"
"A newcor?" The Minotaur frowned. As a veteran bookworm, he doubted a rookie’s writing would satisfy his tastes. He was about to refuse, but then he figured it wouldn’t cost him anything to sample a page or two. "Alright, let’s give it a try!"
Upon hearing this, the shopkeeper quickly fetched a brand-new storybook and passed it over.
The Minotaur began to flip through it.
"’The Fallen Genius?’ What’s this? Sounds bland at first glance... Hm? ’Thirty years east of the river, thirty years west; do not scorn the poor youth!’ Hiss..."
His bull-like eyes gradually widened, his breathing quickened, and he began to snort repeatedly.
Holy shit! This is actually interesting!
