The Heavenly Dao incarnation nodded. "That's right, Extinct Skyreach!"

The Heavenly Dao incarnation nodded. "Yes."
After a pause, he continued, "Therefore, after Extinct Skyreach, the Lower Realm endured an extrely long dark age."
"That was the first war between the various races and the Demon Race. It was also the beginning of the countless years of conflict that followed."
"It was during that ti that the civilizations of the various races developed at a rapid pace, and countless cultivation systems ca into being."
The Heavenly Dao incarnation's tone was calm and steady as he recounted the tale.
Wang Xiu's gaze fell upon the scene ford by the interwoven rays of light.
They called it Extinct Skyreach, but in reality, the Lower Realm was just a corner of the vast world. Its concentration of Spiritual Energy and number of heavenly materials and earthly treasures were far inferior to the Upper Realm's.
In the original world, many beings could grow stronger without cultivating and possessed long lifespans. As long as they avoided the struggles of the Ancient Gods, they could live for a very, very long ti. This included the Human Race.
But that was not possible in the Lower Realm.
They needed to find new thods of cultivation to strengthen themselves and resist the power of the Ancient Gods seeping into their world.
The Human Race created the Golden Core Qi Refinent Path. The Spirit Clan pioneered the Divine Sense Visualization Path. The Devil Race researched the Physical Sanctification Path. And then there were the Nether Race, the Ghost Race, the Blood Race, and many others.
Faced with the pressure of survival, different civilizations and cultivation systems blood like fireworks in that incredibly dark age. The great races of that era were unprecedentedly united, huddling together for warmth and sharing any epiphanies they had with one another.
"But even so, the races needed ti and space to grow. How did they survive that most difficult period?" Wang Xiu asked, puzzled.
"That," the Heavenly Dao incarnation explained, "brings us to the handful of Demigods."
"Demigods are the offspring of Gods and other races. Though they possess the bloodline of the Ancient Gods, they were seen as even more contemptible than the other races. In fact, they were considered utterly vile, as the Ancient Gods refused to accept the existence of such 'half-breeds,' believing they tarnished their noble bloodline."
"The vast majority of Demigods lacked the courage to rebel."
"But there are always exceptions."
"There were the half-human Demigods, Nüwa and Pan; the half-Devil Demigods, Di Jun and Taiyi; and the half-Dragon Demigod, Zhulong—a total of seven."
"This grand plan of Extinct Skyreach... was initially set in motion by them."
"Upon arriving in the Lower Realm, these seven Demigods raised the first banner. They established the Celestial Court and spared no effort in cultivating elite forces to combat the Ancient Gods' influence."
"It was under their protection that the other races finally had a chance to breathe."

Wang Xiu's eyes lit up. "What plan?"
The Heavenly Dao incarnation said, "nding the Heaven."
Nüwa mobilized the Myriad Clans to scour the Lower Realm. They gathered countless Divine Stones and Divine tals, consuming nearly ninety percent of the realm's most powerful treasures, and refined them with her grand Divine Skills.
After tens of thousands of years, she had forged one hundred and eight Five-Colored Divine Stones.
She used these stones to seal the one hundred and eight Heavenly Gates, reducing the Ancient Gods' control over the Lower Realm to almost nothing.
After accomplishing this, Nüwa, her essence completely drained, passed away not long after.
"Afterward, the Ancient Gods realized that relying solely on the Demon Race to achieve their goals was unlikely. So, they changed their thods and decided to seek out proxies among the other races, luring them to serve their purposes."
"The Ancient Gods were beings born from Heaven and Earth, possessing an innate understanding of the Dao and its laws. Even the simplest technique they bestowed could exponentially increase the strength of a being from the Lower Realm."

The Heavenly Dao incarnation nodded. "Precisely. Under the manipulation of the Ancient Gods, the rifts between the races gradually widened until they were beyond repair, sparking an all-out civil war."
Wang Xiu secretly took a deep breath.
