Now reading: Chapter 267 - 177. Sending off Li Xuan and Li Ming, Brothers from Cultivation: Fortune by Lots, a Eastern novel by August Eagle.

He steeled his resolve and continued to search for Li Xuan.

After a short while, the sensation from the Thousand-Mile Sound Transmission Talismans grew increasingly strong. With the combined effect of several talismans, Lei Jun could now clearly distinguish whether the approaching person was Li Xuan or another Li Clan descendant. His target was getting closer.

Lei Jun took out a Divine Eye Mirror Stone to observe.

The craggy rocks within the deep valley easily obstructed the line of sight, but conversely, they also concealed Lei Jun’s movents. Otherwise, prolonged observation using the Divine Eye Mirror Stone might alert the other party and make them wary.

Lei Jun vaguely saw a figure in a deep red Taoist robe flickering in the distance. Seeing the other party’s direction, they were indeed approaching him.

Lei Jun nodded slightly and stealthily retreated.

He had been observant of his surroundings on his way here. Now, he discreetly released so Gui Water Yin Thunder to silently erode a section of the mountainside rock, careful not to let it crumble. At the sa ti, he left a few Spirit Talismans behind. Then, Lei Jun continued to retreat, creating as much distance as possible in the shortest amount of ti.

The figure in the deep red Taoist robe gradually approached. It was indeed Li Xuan.

His face was taut, his expression even colder and more solemn than before. His eyes held a restrained Spirit Light, appearing ordinary at a glance, but his robust Mana was likewise ready to be unleashed. He deployed the Dragon-Tiger Dual Spirits of the Celestial Master Mansion; the Wind Tiger and Cloud Dragon took positions, one ahead and one behind, specifically responsible for vigilance. In such a complex environnt within the deep valley, Li Xuan was equally cautious.

As he walked, his pace suddenly slowed. Li Xuan faintly sensed that sothing was amiss up ahead. He imdiately sent the spirit of the Wind Tiger to probe.

Suddenly, an explosion of thunder and fire erupted, imrsing the Wind Tiger in a sea of flas. However, the Spirit Talismans’ power wasn’t strong.

Seeing this, Li Xuan frowned. Could it be Chen Yi, not Lin Shan, the one I’m looking for?

While Li Xuan was pondering, Lei Jun, so distance away, stood atop a rock. His hands were positioned one in front and one behind him. In his left hand, he held the Divine Eye Mirror Stone to his eye. His right hand was stretched straight forward, thumb and forefinger slightly apart as if asuring distance. But between these two fingers, fine sparks of electricity constantly materialized, gathering a trendous amount of Primordial Magnet Force. This caused a tiny Fine Gold Sword Pellet to tremble slightly, suspended in mid-air.

Due to the obstructing rocks in the valley, Lei Jun’s current field of vision was only average. Even with the Divine Eye Mirror Stone, about half of the deep red figure was obscured by rocks. However, aided by the sensory input from those few Thousand-Mile Sound Transmission Talismans, Lei Jun had essentially locked onto the target.

Lei Jun calmly thought, From a certain perspective, I might also be considered a peer-killer with an advantage against fellow disciples...

In the distance, Li Xuan watched the spirit of the Wind Tiger pass through the Spirit Talisman trap. His alarm didn’t lessen; instead, his vigilance increased. Yet, despite his vision and spiritual sense scanning the area, he couldn’t detect any other enemies.

A flash of insight struck Li Xuan. Wait... Where is this unease coming from? It feels like soone has targeted! But why would practitioners of Confucian Divine Archery or users of Taoist Flying Swords appear here to attack ? Who could it be?

Li Xuan had no ti to dwell on it. The mont the thought arose, his body began to move, attempting to dodge.

But before he could move, a flash of electricity sparked from Lei Jun’s fingertip. The air for a large radius around his body seed to warp. A massive amount of lightning appeared without warning, roaring in unison. From Lei Jun’s fingertip, a line of electricity seed to extend into the distance. The Sword Pellet suspended between his thumb and forefinger vanished.

Far away, beyond what many cultivators’ eyesight could reach, a flash of fire erupted, followed monts later by a booming sound. Earth and stone flew, and fire surged, further obscuring Lei Jun’s line of sight. But he could still see that his attack had hit its mark.

Li Xuan had just sensed he was being targeted from a distance and was preparing to evade when a light suddenly flashed before his eyes. The Magical Sword at his side glowed with purple lightning, resembling a smaller Celestial Master’s Sword, formidable in both offense and defense, its aura sharp and aggressive. The Magical Sword flew up, intending to protect its master. But a streak of power and lightning shot past with astounding speed, far exceeding his estimations, causing the Magical Sword to intercept nothing but air.

Li Xuan’s Tao Seal in his Tao Palace glowed. His energy, responding to his will, instantly manifested nurous Spirit Talismans, layering one upon another. But before these Spirit Talismans could truly take effect, the unknown attack flashed past, piercing through all of them.

Then, it struck Li Xuan squarely!

Li Xuan’s entire body jolted as he was sent tumbling backward through the air. Only after he crashed heavily to the ground, dazed and disoriented, did intense pain surge from the right side of his body.

His right shoulder was a bloody ruin. His entire right arm had been blown off, its whereabouts unknown. From his right shoulder down, across his right chest to his right hip, Li Xuan was a ss of red and black—dripping blood and charred flesh.

This key mber of the Li Clan let out a muffled groan and nearly fainted. Only because cultivators of the Talisman Sect possessed an exceptional physical foundation could he barely keep his body from collapsing. Even so, Li Xuan saw stars, feeling as if his body and soul were being torn asunder.

He barely mustered the strength to summon his Magical Sword for protection. The Cloud Dragon coiled around him, attempting to carry him away to prevent further attacks.

Confucian Divine Archery, or the Taoist Sect’s Flying Swords... But the crucial point is, this isn’t an attack a Middle Three Heavens Cultivator could execute! If fellow Sixth Heavenly Layer disciples from Confucian Divine Archery or masters from the Daoist Alchemy Sect were targeting from afar, they wouldn’t have given so little ti to prepare. Even amidst the chaotic Spiritual Energy of the Sword Valley, I am confident I would have detected so signs in advance. Otherwise, among equals, only practitioners of Confucian Divine Archery and users of Taoist Flying Swords could contend with each other. Cultivators of other Taoist Heritages would only be targets for assassination. Only an attack from a higher realm, a case of the strong overpowering the weak, coupled with a sneak attack, could result in this. But who is it? And why?!

In the distance, Lei Jun remained motionless. He exhaled a long breath, which manifested as intertwining black and white wisps of Yin Yang Dual Qi. Then, he inhaled.

The Breathing Soil Banner supplied an abundance of Spiritual Power, nourishing Lei Jun’s spleen with earth energy. Then, with Yin and Yang harmonizing and the Five Phases Generating, this power was transford back into a vast amount of Primordial Magnet Force.

After firing the first Magnetosword Pellet, he had consud a great deal of Mana. With his Yin Yang Sacred Body, he could recover his energy quickly. However, Lei Jun didn’t plan to give Li Xuan any chance to catch his breath. The copious Spiritual Power from the Breathing Soil Banner allowed him to quickly prepare his second strike.

Although visibility was worse now, he could still vaguely see that his first strike hadn’t completely ended Li Xuan’s life; his opponent was attempting to flee.

So, Lei Jun sent a second Magnetosword Pellet after him.

Electric light roared again within the deep valley!

Unlike the previous shot, which was slightly off, this one hit the target directly. But Li Xuan was sowhat prepared this ti, using his Magical Sword to et the attack coming from behind.

A flash of intense light erupted in the valley. The distant explosion swept through the valley.

Li Xuan’s Magical Sword was instantly shattered. The spirit of the Cloud Dragon tumbled, throwing Li Xuan from its back.

Already gravely injured, Li Xuan slamd into the ground, his soul nearly separating from his body. However, at this critical mont, Li Xuan beca slightly calr.

Though the attack is fierce and its range incredibly long, it seems different compared to those of true Upper Three Heavens masters. If it’s not an Upper Three Heavens expert, then attacks of such intensity can’t be sustained or fired consecutively.

With this thought, Li Xuan clenched his teeth, struggled to turn over, and ducked behind a nearby rock, intending to conceal himself and block the attacker’s line of sight. His plan was sound, but the mont he neared the rock, he found it unstable. Weakened by the shockwaves of the repeated impacts, the rock began to collapse. Li Xuan instantly understood the source of his earlier foreboding and unease. The opponent set up more than one trap here!

Unfortunately, before he could investigate further, the ferocious attack was already upon him. As the rocks collapsed around him, Li Xuan could only dodge with difficulty.

「In the distance...」

Lei Jun confird the target’s direction. He’s hiding over there, just as I thought. The third Magnetosword Pellet hovered between his fingers.

Although the Breathing Soil Banner was potent, providing abundant Spiritual Power, the rate at which it could supply Lei Jun was limited. With such severe Mana consumption, even the Breathing Soil Banner struggled to keep up. But as Lei Jun breathed, his Great Five Elents Creation Qi circulated, giving him an extra boost and accelerating his Mana recovery.

The Northern Mysterious Underworld Taoist Palace operated at full capacity, Yin Yang Dual Qi intertwining.

Ti flies; more than ten years have passed. Convey my regards to Li Ming.

Electric light flickered for the third ti between Lei Jun’s fingers.

The roaring Magnetosword Pellet, seemingly ignoring the distance, instantly tore through the air toward the collapsing rocks. The falling rubble and dust were instantly cleared by a powerful gust, creating a passage as electric light flashed all around.

Li Xuan’s entire body convulsed.

This ti, there was no deviation.

A direct hit to the head!

Scarcely any blood was visible. From a distance, one could only see sothing explode and scatter.

Then, only a headless corpse remained, the neck a charred ruin.

The thunderfire spread downwards, consuming the already ravaged body.
