"Oh?"
Lei Jun remained calm in the face of sudden change, standing in place without moving at all.
Azure flas automatically surged up around his body, burning away the tendrils that ca near him.
"It seems a bit like Dragon Bind Hemp, but I rember there shouldn’t be anything like that inside the Supre Pure Thunder Mansion Cave Heaven," Tang Xiaotang’s figure didn’t appear, but her voice seed to whisper right by Lei Jun’s ear.
Lei Jun speculated, "Maybe there had been Spiritual Seeds stored here in the cave heaven long ago, but they never sprouted. Because of the earlier fierce battle, the cave heaven was altered, which caused the seeds to germinate just now and extend their hemp vines."
He asked Tang Xiaotang to hold back, not to destroy the root of this Dragon Bind Hemp for the ti being.
After the azure Nine Abyss Earth Fire vanished, those Dragon Bind Hemps didn’t withdraw.
The vines were deeply spiritual, but didn’t seem to possess true intelligence in the usual sense.
So, when the fire died out, the vines stretched again, continuing to entwine toward Lei Jun.
Lei Jun first tried using his Spirit Talismans.
Although his Endless Sea of Fire Talisman and Wind-Fire Rampart Talisman were not life-bound talisman thods, with the help of the Yin Yang Pen, he could craft such high-grade Spirit Talismans with impressive power.
Because he had successively refined the Yin Yang Two Evil and the Yin Yang Er Gang, which greatly boosted the strength of his spells, the power of his non-life-bound talismans could compete with the life-bound magic arts of cultivators of his own level.
But high-grade Spirit Talismans had minimal effect against these Dragon Bind Hemps.
Under the divine abilities of soone at the Eightfold Heaven Realm, the Dragon Bind Hemp would crumble.
But for Middle Three Heavens Cultivators, these strange vines certainly lived up to their dragon-binding na.
Lei Jun then switched to the Five Thunder Righteous Talisman and Thunder of Thor Talisman, but the effect was still limited.
He began to try his own life-bound magic arts.
First was the Dark Five-Thunder Orthodox Talisman.
Gui Water Yin Thunder turned into great torrents of black thunder water, flooding and eroding the vines.
The originally grayish-white vines imdiately beca scorched black on the surface.
But their encroaching montum toward Lei Jun only slowed a little, still plenty of white vines pressed closer to him.
Gui Water Yin Thunder could have so effect.
But just as a big fire is hard to put out with a little water, the eroding and destructive speed of Gui Water Yin Thunder was still too slow. Vast numbers of blackened vines maintained their montum, pressing close to Lei Jun.
Lei Jun bent his fingers, lighting a speck of fire at his fingertip.
Then he flicked it away.
The tiny, unremarkable spark suddenly exploded with a boom, unleashing violently compressed thunder fire.
The few closest white vines were instantly reduced to ashes from halfway up.
Others were blasted apart.
But, compared to the sheer volu of Dragon Bind Hemp, this could only montarily slow their advance.
He’d need a constant stream of Ding Fire Yin Thunder to keep them at bay.
Lei Jun then switched to Xin Jin Yin Thunder, transforming the thunder’s primal magnetism into sharp tallic energy.
Gold restrains wood in the Five Elents.
But just now, this sharp tallic energy wasn’t particularly effective against the Dragon Bind Hemp.
Within the gray-white vines, there was even a flickering of lightning, which was surprising to see.
The Spiritual Seed, nourished here on Biyou Immortal Mountain inside the Supre Pure Thunder Mansion Cave Heaven for years, had matured in ways that made it sowhat different from normal...*Lei Jun felt himself coming to a conclusion.*
His Thunder thod changed fluidly; Xin Jin Yin Thunder turned into Ji Earth Yin Thunder.
Ji Earth Yin Thunder leaned toward defense, temporarily holding off the Dragon Bind Hemp.
But the gray-white vine fibers kept stabbing into the yellowish thunder light.
Lei Jun manifested Yin Thunder of Yi Wood, thunder light shining blue-green and lush like bamboo or strings of silk.
This thunder, when tangled with the Dragon Bind Hemp, not only failed to block them but even nourished and caused the hemp to grow more vigorously.
*Lei Jun didn’t feel surprised or angry at this, instead nodding slightly.*
When the Dragon Bind Hemp pressed closer, Lei Jun, under the boost of the Heavenly General Talisman and Five Ding Open Mountain Talisman, seed to embody a towering giant.
The first vines to approach were directly torn off by Lei Jun’s bare hands.
But soon, more and more vines continued twisting up to entangle him.
Lei Jun advanced and retreated as swiftly as the wind, dodging rapidly.
He did not flee far at the first opportunity but stayed within a limited area, contending with the vines.
Large numbers of hemp vines were torn apart or crushed by him.
But as ti went on, more and more vines sward from all sides, encroaching upon Lei Jun’s space of movent.
In the end, he found it increasingly difficult even to find a place to set his foot down.
When the countless Dragon Bind Hemps finally closed in from every direction, Lei Jun halted and unfurled the Breathing Soil Banner.
Vast earthy-yellow Spirit Light appeared, shielding Lei Jun within and keeping the vicious tendrils at bay.
Though the tendrils were many, the murky yellow Spirit Light continuously birthed stone and earth.
After a protracted standoff, it was finally the Dragon Bind Hemp that tired first, ending up entangled and buried by earth and stone spawned from the Breathing Soil Banner.
The biggest advantage of using the Breathing Soil Banner for defense was its inexhaustible subsequent power.
As long as it didn’t face a sudden overwhelming force and entered a war of attrition, there would basically be no trouble.
Under Lei Jun’s control, the Breathing Soil Banner even began to suppress the Dragon Bind Hemp in turn.
After a period of suppression and counter-suppression, it was instead Lei Jun who used the Breathing Soil Banner to uproot the Dragon Bind Hemp, temporarily sealing it within earth and stone.
*This thing could be of so use. Actually, it’d make a pretty good artifact refining material...* Lei Jun was lost in thought.
After subduing the Dragon Bind Hemp, Lei Jun resud walking amidst the mountains and encountered no other strange happenings.
As he walked, he tended to his condition, drawing upon the nourishnt of Spiritual Energy from Biyou Immortal Mountain.
Glancing back, he saw that atop the main peak of the Immortal Mountain—other than purple thunder shrouding the sky, now dazzling golden thunder light flashed from ti to ti as well.
*The Celestial Master Robe was lost, and the Celestial Master Seal was dormant for now. That’s a big problem...* Lei Jun frowned to himself.
All four High rit Elders of the Li Clan had perished. To a certain extent, this put the Celestial Master Mansion at a similar disadvantage as the Yellow Sky Sect—the inheritance of the Thunder Law Heavenly Scripture Talismans was all but lost.
