After leaving the Deprived Crimson Valley, Supre Ruler Dena looked at Yuan and asked, "What now?"
"Before we decide what we want to do, I need to know what you plan on doing now, Lev." Yuan turned to face Lev, who stood still with a dumbfounded look on his face, almost as if he was still having trouble believing that he was outside of the Deprived Crimson Valley.
However, he quickly snapped out of it and said, "Although I am grateful to you for helping leave the Deprived Crimson Valley, it won't change the fact that I am still an exile, and that my soul is still branded as one. But that won't stop from avenging my family!"
Yuan then asked Supre Ruler Dena, "Can you do sothing about the branding with your Authority?"
She calmly nodded and pointed a finger at Lev.
"..."
Lev swallowed nervously, wondering what she was going to do to him.
The 'Authority' symbol appeared on Supre Ruler Dena's forehead again, and the next second, a single strand of her crimson hair suddenly shot toward Lev's forehead, penetrating his skin like it was wet paper and striking his soul.
"It's done," she calmly said as she retrieved her hair.
"What…?"
Lev wore a blank look on his face, as if he didn't even realize what she'd done to him. In fact, it happened so fast that he wasn't even able to react!
"Congratulations, Lev. You're no longer an exile," Yuan said with a faint smile.
Before Lev could respond, Yuan continued, "I won't tell you how to live your life, but I wouldn't recomnd dedicating it entirely to revenge. I've lived that way before, and it leads nowhere good."
Lev lowered his head to stare at the ground for a mont before responding in a low voice, "Then what else am I supposed to do?"
"I survived the Deprived Crimson Valley for so long because of my desire to avenge my family. However, now that I think about it, with how much ti has passed, I doubt I will even be able to find the person who killed them—if they're even still alive."
Yuan then spoke, "If you don't know what you want to do, why don't you continue following us for now and think it over? Perhaps you might find a new purpose in life. That said, I cannot guarantee your safety."
Lev didn't need to spend much ti pondering about Yuan's offer and quickly nodded, "If you don't mind having , it'd be an honor to continue being by your side."
"Now then…" Yuan looked at Supre Ruler Dena and said, "Let's figure out why you were exiled first before we decide on anything."
"How are we going to do that?"
"We can ask around—"
"Please don't do that." Lev suddenly interrupted.
"Have you forgotten? We are prohibited from ntioning her na outside the Deprived Crimson Valley," he reminded Yuan.
"So what? It's not like such rules have never been broken before."
However, instead of Lev, Supre Ruler Dena spoke, "No, he's right. If the current Supre Ruler prohibited my na from being ntioned, anyone who utters it—even if nobody is listening—will be struck by the Demon God's Wrath."
Yuan raised an eyebrow at this information, wondering if this Demon God's Wrath was akin to Heavenly Tribulation in his world, where those who defy the Heavenly Laws will be punished.
"This is my first ti hearing about such a thing," he remarked.
"What? How is that even possible?" Lev stared at Yuan in disbelief. "The Demon God's Wrath is basic common sense. Even a newborn knows about it."
"Oh, right." Yuan glanced at him and smiled. "Since you'll continue traveling with us from now on, I should probably catch you up on a few things."
"First of all, I am not from this world."
"Huh?" Lev's eyes widened as he tried to comprehend Yuan's words.
However, Yuan wasn't done, and he continued to bombard Lev with more shocking revelations.
"Not only do I not belong to this world, but I'm also not a demon. I'm actually a human. That's why there are many things about this world that I don't know," Yuan revealed.
"Although I visited this place before, it's been so long that most of my knowledge is probably no longer reliable."
"..."
After several monts of silence, Lev finally spoke in a nervous tone, "I knew you were strange, but to think you're actually from the world of countless legends… the Divine Heaven!"
He continued, "I read in so ancient history books that the Forsaken used to be sent there to save resources and space, but for so reason, that practice stopped."
"Ahem."
Supre Ruler Dena suddenly cleared her throat loudly before speaking. "That's not correct. We didn't send the Forsaken to the Divine Heaven. At the ti, we weren't even aware of its existence. We only believed we were sending the Forsaken sowhere into the boundless void."
"It wasn't until a certain individual appeared in our world and began wreaking havoc that we realized the truth—and the consequences of our careless actions," she continued with a soft sigh, her crimson eyes staring directly at Yuan with a sowhat apologetic gaze.
"Is that so…? I was born after that period, so I had no idea."
"Hm? If you're not from our world, then what were you doing inside the Deprived Crimson Valley? In fact, how the hell did you even get inside?" Lev turned to look at Yuan and asked.
Yuan shrugged and said, "I ca here by accident."
"Seriously…? Then you're incredibly lucky that Supre Ruler—"
Lev abruptly sealed his mouth with his hands when he realized that he had nearly committed a serious offense and invoked Demon God's Wrath.
"That was close. I almost uttered sothing I shouldn't have."
Yuan raised an eyebrow at his reaction. Then, after a mont of silence, he said, "Lev, move away from . You too, Dena."
"What are you trying to do?" Lev asked with a puzzled face.
He smiled and calmly replied, "I want to see for myself the prowess of the Demon God's Wrath and whether it's truly threatening or not."
"You want to purposefully invoke Demon God's Wrath?! Are you insane?!" Lev cried out loud.
Then, without hesitation, he distanced himself from Yuan, moving so far away that he turned into a tiny black dot in the distance.
"Are you really going to do it?" Supre Ruler Dena asked.
Although her words sounded concerned, her face remained completely calm.
"The Demon God's Wrath is unfathomably powerful, and depending on the severity of your cri, it could even exterminate a True God," she explained.
Yuan nodded, "I will be fine."
Without another word, Supre Ruler Dena distanced herself from Yuan. However, unlike Lev, she moved only several ters back and remained very much in view.
Yuan took a deep breath before mumbling in a low voice, "Supre Ruler Dena."
He imdiately prepared to confront the Demon God's Wrath after uttering her na. "..."
However, nothing happened even a few seconds later, prompting Yuan to try again, this ti louder.
"Supre Ruler Dena," he spoke in a normal tone.
When nothing happened again, he shouted loudly, "SUPRE RULER DENA!"
Yet, even after waiting for many monts, the Demon God's Wrath never occurred.
"What the hell?" Yuan cursed out loud before turning to look at Lev. "Are you sure it's forbidden to say her na?"
Lev's head popped out from behind a tree as he replied, "Of course! I rember very clearly when the Supre Ruler publicly announced it, as well as the hundreds of Demon God's Wrath that followed!"
"Then why isn't it coming after ? Is it because I don't belong to this world, so its rules don't apply to ?" he wondered out loud.
"Seriously…?" Lev mumbled in a dumbfounded voice, suddenly feeling an urge to test it out himself.
However, before he could do so, Supre Ruler Dena beat him to the punch, speaking in a calm voice, "Supre Ruler Dena."
The very next mont, Yuan sensed a sudden change in the surrounding atmosphere, sending a faint shiver down his body.
"This feeling…"
He subconsciously lifted his head to look at the sky, and sure enough, there was a reaction above. The clouds had darkened and twisted into a swirling vortex that resembled the eye of a hurricane.
Then, from the very center of that eye, a massive crimson beam suddenly descended.
Unsurprisingly, its target was Supre Ruler Dena.
The beam was so massive that Yuan had to retreat to avoid being caught in it.
And the mont he exited its range, the beam struck Supre Ruler Dena without rcy, completely engulfing her figure in its massive crimson light.
The Demon God's Wrath lasted only a little over a second, yet in that brief mont, it carved a massive crater into the ground—so deep that its depths were swallowed in pitch-black darkness.
anwhile, Supre Ruler Dena was nowhere to be seen, as if she had been completely vaporized by the attack.
