"Uh… I'm not sure…?" Purple responded to Yuan's question about the Supre Ruler's whereabouts.
Suddenly, Yuan noticed a figure erging from the tower and quickly approaching them.
"Are you the Supre Ruler?" Yuan asked the human-looking demon hovering before them.
"Not even close," he responded. "I am the Supre Adviser, second in power within the Crimson Continent."
"Then where is the Supre Ruler?" Yuan asked.
"The Supre Ruler will appear soon, but first…" The Supre Adviser turned his gaze to Supre Ruler Dena and continued speaking, "Why did you leave the Deprived Crimson Valley and return here? Have you forgotten about the indescribable cri you've committed against the people here? If I were you, I'd be too ashad to show my face here again."
"There is no place besides the Deprived Crimson Valley that welcos a Forsaken, especially one as heinous as you!"
Despite the Supre Adviser's harsh words, Supre Ruler Dena's expression remained as calm as a still pond.
"How does one forget sothing they have no recollection of in the very beginning?" she spoke a mont later.
"What…?" The Supre Adviser frowned.
"As for being a Forsaken… I have no clue where you got such information, but that's nothing more than slander," she continued before the Supre Adviser could say anything else.
"Are you claiming to be innocent despite the overwhelming evidence against you? Do you really expect —expect anyone to believe that?" The Supre Adviser responded with a deep frown, looking like he'd been mocked.
"Whether you believe or not is none of my concern," Supre Ruler Dena calmly said. "I am just here to reclaim my position."
"Reclaim your position?! And how are you going to do that? With force, like you usually do?!" The Supre Adviser shouted, his face and voice full of anger. "Even if you force your way back into being the Supre Ruler again, nobody would trust you!"
"I couldn't care less if nobody trusts . Even if everyone hates , as long as they do their job properly—"
"Alright, let's stop there." Yuan interrupted her.
He then turned to the Supre Adviser. "You claim there's overwhelming evidence she's responsible for this city's disappearance, but from what I've heard, your so‑called proof is flimsy at best and proves nothing."
"..."
The Supre Adviser frowned at Yuan in confusion.
"I should have asked this sooner, but who in the hell are you? Are you the one responsible for the deaths of our two soldiers?" he asked after a brief silence.
"You make it sound like I personally killed them," Yuan sighed while shaking his head. "They were the ones who invoked Demon God's Wrath."
"That's not what I heard from those who were present."
"I don't know what those idiots told you, but they definitely lied."
"Lie? To ? There's no way."
"You're a bit too trusting—borderline gullible. No wonder you were so quick to believe those false accusations against Dena," Yuan said.
'He can really utter her na without triggering Demon God's Wrath!' The Supre Adviser cried inwardly after confirming the information the others had given him, as he refused to believe such outrageous claims.
"You… Why can you utter her na without triggering Demon God's Wrath? Why are you able to ignore the laws of this world, sothing even I cannot do?"
"Isn't it obvious?" Yuan remarked with a smile. "It's because you're not ."
"..."
The Supre Adviser trembled at Yuan's humorless joke and shouted, "Regardless of who you are, your very existence defies the laws of this world and the Supre Ruler who made it! This is not acceptable!"
"And what are you going to do about it? Kill ?"
"Don't worry, we will deal with you later. As for now…" The Supre Adviser's gaze returned to Supre Ruler Dena before narrowing slightly.
After a brief silence, he shouted, "We will not allow you to terrorize our people a second ti! Activate the Demon God's Formation!"
At his command, the people overseeing the formation sprang into action. A crimson barrier instantly rose to envelop the entire city, turning it into a prison.
On closer inspection, the barrier was actually woven from countless crimson swords, each radiating the might of a True God.
"Demon God's Formation, huh?" Supre Ruler Dena muttered, gazing at the barrier with a calm expression.
Though she'd never deployed it herself, it was sothing she knew well. After all, the Demon God's Formation was the most powerful formation available and their final line of defense—their trump card, and its power was overwhelming enough to threaten even a Supre Ruler.
Even at her full strength, she wouldn't escape the Demon God's Formation unscathed, much less her current weakened state.
Yet, despite the seemingly dire situation, Supre Ruler Dena kept calm and showed no sign of panic, nor was she putting on a brave face. She was genuinely unconcerned.
As for Yuan, he was actually admiring the formation, as it was unfathomably powerful and far beyond even the strongest formations within the Nine Heavens.
"This is your last chance to return to the Deprived Crimson Valley," the Supre Adviser warned as he lifted his arm, pointing it toward the crimson sky.
"I refuse," Supre Ruler Dena replied without hesitation.
"Then die."
The Supre Adviser swung his arm in a downward motion, as if trying to split the space before him, and in the next instant, the countless crimson swords forming the barrier locked onto Supre Ruler Dena and shot toward her.
The scene resembled Yuan's Swords of Eternal Tornt, but on a massive scale.
In response, Supre Ruler Dena sprang into action, eting the storm of blades head‑on with her crimson hair.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Although Supre Ruler Dena managed to destroy the swords for a ti and seed to be holding her own, her weakened state gradually began to show. Her movents slowed, and she started failing to block so of the blades.
The blades she failed to block impaled her body and started draining even more of her strength.
Soon, Supre Ruler Dena had grown so weak that she could no longer control her hair. However, the Demon God's formation remained active and continued its relentless assault until her body was riddled with countless strikes, leaving her looking like a porcupine bristling with quills.
