"My master said he'll be staying in there for a few days to test the waters," said the Demon Annihilation Sword the mont she returned to the others.
Gutou then spoke, "Umm… do you still need ? If not, I'll return ho."
Lev then said, "Why don't you wait for Yuan to return before leaving? Don't worry, we won't tell you to co into Death Paradise with us."
Gutou nodded, and they patiently waited for Yuan to return. In the anti, they fought off the Sea Devils that attacked them. Or more specifically, Lev dealt with the Sea Devils while the others watched.
Of course, nobody asked him to be the guard, but he didn't want to feel like pointless luggage and volunteered to fight.
As for the Sea Devils that he couldn't deal with, Gutou would help out, as he was a True God.
One might assu that remaining within the water would shield the Sea Devils from the Demon God's Ordeal, but even they were not spared from the phenonon.
Fortunately, very few Sea Devils dared to venture so close to Death Paradise, and they would only encounter two to three of them a day.
anwhile, Yuan continued to strengthen his Demonic Awakening through Demon God's Ordeal. Of course, he wasn't completely focused on cultivation and also tried to understand it.
'The Demon God's Ordeal… it completely kills one's blood. No wonder it's so deadly to demons…'
Yuan finally understood why demons couldn't survive it despite their regeneration, as this phenonon directly seals their power.
Although it may seem as though demons possess limitless blood, in reality, they are rely duplicating it, and their bodies generate new blood at a rate several tis faster than that of humans.
Their blood also possesses an innate self-duplication ability, automatically replicating when it senses imminent destruction, almost like a passive skill. Because of this, attempting to destroy it is futile unless one can annihilate every last trace of their blood in an instant, or seal their passive skill, exactly what the Demon God's Ordeal does.
As for why Yuan wasn't being affected… In truth, the phenonon definitely affected him, so it was constantly destroying his blood.
However, Yuan's regeneration was not ordinary, and after achieving Transcended Renewal, it was able to bypass even Demon God's Ordeal.
'In a sense, this power is similar to Demon Sealing Aura, but instead of sealing their blood, it directly destroys them.'
Suddenly, Yuan suddenly felt lighter, as if his mind was ascending, and a second later, he entered a trance-like state… or what cultivators called enlightennt.
As the creator of Demon Sealing Aura, nobody in this world understood such powers better than him.
A few days later—
Yuan opened his eyes, and a profound light flickered within.
He unleashed so of his Demon Sealing Aura, and the sa energy coming from Demon God's Ordeal emanated from it.
"With this power, I no longer need to completely overwhelm the demons or use Eternal Essence to kill them…" he muttered with a smile on his face.
Although Yuan wanted to cultivate his Demonic Awakening more, the process was painfully slow, and he anticipated that he'd need to cultivate hundreds of years before he would see any real improvent.
Thus, he decided to leave for now and return to the others.
"How was it?" Supre Ruler Dena asked when Yuan returned to them.
He proceeded to explain his discovery with them.
"The phenonon is not natural but caused by the Demon God?!" Suprem Ruler Grant cried out loud, his voice full of disbelief.
"That's impossible! Why would the Demon God create sothing harmful to his own creation and put it here?!"
Yuan shrugged, "How would I know? If you're curious, you should ask the Demon God himself."
"I…!" Supre Ruler Grant imdiately fell silent.
"So, do you think we will be able to follow you into Death Paradise? Or is it impossible after all?" Lev suddenly asked.
Yuan pondered for a mont before responding, "Although the poison is strong, it won't imdiately kill you. At your level, you'll be dead in a few weeks. At Dena and Grant's level, they will definitely be able to survive long enough for us to do whatever we need to do."
"So I have to stay behind, huh?" Lev sighed, looking disappointed that he couldn't follow them into Death Paradise, unaware that he no longer feared danger, even welcoming it.
"You are more than welcod to stay at my island until they return," Gutou suddenly offered Lev a place to stay.
Lev nodded, "Thanks. I'll do just that then."
However, Yuan said a second later, "I might be able to shield you from the poison."
"Really?!" Lev's eyes imdiately started glowing with hope.
"Co with . I want to test it out first."
Lev nodded and eagerly followed Yuan into Death Paradise to participate in his experint.
"So this is Death Paradise, huh? I never even imagined myself being anywhere near this place, yet here I am…" Lev muttered.
"How does it feel?" Yuan asked him.
"Well, I can feel myself slowly dying, if that's what you ant," he responded in a sowhat joking tone.
"Let's wait a few days before we start the experint."
"Alright."
Yuan proceeded to spend an entire week examining Lev's condition, watching his health deteriorating at a rapid rate.
"This is my first ti seeing a demon looking sick," Yuan remarked. "How are you feeling now?"
"Like shit," Lev sighed. "I feel incredibly weak and sluggish, as if I am wearing mountains as a vest. Are we going to wait longer before you do anything?"
"No, we can begin now."
Yuan placed a hand on Lev's shoulder and closed his eyes.
"I am going to seal your blood now," he said.
"Wait, what are you—?"
Before Lev could even finish his sentence, Yuan used Demon Sealing Aura on his blood.
Lev's entire body stiffened, feeling like he'd turned into a statue without actually turning into stone.
After sealing Lev's blood, Yuan spent the next few minutes analyzing it.
"Looks like sealing your blood won't stop it from being destroyed by the poison…"
Yuan unsealed his blood and tried sothing else, encasing Lev in the Demon Sealing Zone.
Unfortunately, that did not work, either.
A few days and multiple more experints later—
"Looks like it's impossible to stop the poison from destroying your blood." "I guess it's impossible for to follow you into Death Paradise, after all." Lev shook his head with a bitter smile. "Well, it's not like it's a life or death situation, so I don't have to follow you. Just rember to pick up after you're done."
Yuan narrowed his eyes and said, "Actually, I have one more thod, but it might be a little crazy."
"What do you have in mind?" Lev asked, his interest piqued.
"If we cannot stop your blood from being destroyed, we can replenish it… with my blood."
"What?!" Lev cried out loud.
"However, I must warn you that I cannot guarantee it will succeed. Hell, it might even kill you. I am making this suggestion purely because of my own curiosity," he admitted.
Lev swallowed nervously and fell silent.
Eventually, he responded with an excited smile, "I want to try it, even if it might kill !"
"Risking your life just to follow us when you don't need to. You'be beco bold, Lev. Reckless, even."
"Considering what I have experienced with you, it's only normal. Also, I learned from the best."
Yuan chuckled.
"Then let's begin."
The next mont, Yuan pointed a finger at Lev and created a ball of blood on his fingertip.
"Ready?"
"Ready!"
Yuan unleashed his blood, shooting it directly at Lev.
Once it penetrated his flesh and entered his body, Yuan used Blood Manipulation to spread it throughout his veins and the rest of his body.
Lev clenched his teeth as veins bulged throughout his entire being, looking like he was experiencing cramps in every inch of his body.
"Ahhh!" Lev released a defeaning roar, but it wasn't from pain.
Rather, he was feeling the opposite of pain as an overwhelming amount of energy that he has never felt before surges within him.
"What unfathomable prowess! I have never felt this powerful before!" Lev laughed out loud.
Suddenly, his appearance began to change, and his crimson skin and hair slowly turned as white as a piece of white paper.
"What the…?" Yuan watched Lev transform with wide eyes.
Ding!
Suddenly, a notification appeared before him.
Yuan wore a shocked expression after realizing he had inadvertently turned Lev into his servant.
However, he was the only one surprised by this outco. Lev had already known this would happen the mont he accepted Yuan's blood. In fact, within the Demonic Realm, it was common knowledge that when a demon consud a significant amount of another's blood, it was tantamount to pledging servitude to them.
Such an act was known as a ritual—the Blood Servant Pact—and because it was rarely perford, Yuan had never heard of it.
He hadn't even considered the possibility of turning Lev into a servant, especially since he had given Supre Ruler Dena far more of his blood without any such outco.
Of course, consuming soone's blood and directly accepting it into one's body were entirely different matters, but such minor detail tends to be overlooked.
