"The Divine Paragon's legacy?! That's just a baseless rumor you've been spreading as a part of your sche to usurp the Clan Leader's position!" "I even saw those bastards at the Demon Sealing Grotto spreading this bullshit! There's no way it's real!"
Qian Chu's group exclaid angrily, refusing to believe the rumors.
"Why the hell would we make up sothing that can easily be disproven?! It's a fact that Senior Yan has acquired the Divine Paragon's techniques through his legacy!"
"That's right! We have witnessed it ourselves! Senior Yan has definitely received the Divine Paragon's legacy! Not only that, but she has been fixing the relationship between the Demon Sealing Clan and the Demon Sealing Grotto!"
"anwhile, Qian Chu has done absolutely nothing for the Demon Sealing Clan since he acquired his position! Even worse, when we needed him, he vanished for years without a word! How can we trust soone like that?!"
"With the demons and demon worshippers growing more active lately, we need soone we can trust to lead us! And that person is Senior Yan!"
Yan Hara's group and Qian Chu's group argued back and forth while the two of them silently stared at each other.
"Enough." Qian Chu eventually spoke, blanketing the place with his powerful presence.
"What do you think you're doing? Threatening us now that your position is in danger?" Yan Hara muttered, fighting his presence with her own.
"In danger? My position was never in danger!" Qian Chu let out a cold chuckle.
"So what if you're the Divine Paragon's successor? Even if it were true, there's no rule stating that the Divine Paragon's successor will automatically beco the Clan Leader!" he said.
Yan Hara opened her mouth, but no words ca out.
'He's… right…' she thought inwardly.
Although the Divine Paragon was the first leader of the Demon Sealing Clan and created for him, it wasn't as though he founded the organization, and most of the clan's rules were actually established only after his disappearance.
In other words, the Demon Sealing Clan did not truly belong to the Divine Paragon, but the Demon Sealers that followed him.
Qian Chu continued speaking a mont later, "If you want my position as the Clan Leader, you must challenge properly."
"What are you trying to say?" Yan Hara asked with narrowed eyes.
Qian Chu smiled and said, "As one of our elites, you should know very well what I'm trying to say."
"There are two ways to beco—or rather, replace—the current Clan Leader. The first is by gaining the support of at least seventy percent of the Demon Sealing Clan's mbers. And while you've managed to gather a fair number of followers, it's nowhere near enough."
"The second thod is—"
"The Demon Slaying Parade," Yan Hara cut in. The Demon Slaying Parade she ntioned was an event where the Clan Leader and their challenger compete in a race to hunt a group of demons, and victory belongs to whoever seals all of the demons first.
Of course, they would not be hunting real demons but artificial demons.
"So, are you challenging through the Demon Slaying Parade?" Qian Chu questioned her.
"D-Don't do it, Senior Yan!"
Yan Hara's support group quickly said.
"I bet it's a trap!"
Yuan Hara closed her eyes and said, "Although I may not have enough support at my side, that is only true for the Demon Sealing Clan."
"What?" Qian Chu raised an eyebrow.
"The Demon Sealing Grotto. I have the majority of the Demon Sealing Grotto's support, including their top Demon Sealers," she clarified.
"Hahaha!" Qian Chu burst out laughing. "The Demon Sealing Grotto?! Are you that desperate? So what if you have their support? Even if the entire Demon Sealing Grotto is supporting you, since they do not belong to the Demon Sealing Clan, it does not matter!"
"Nothing to do with the Demon Sealing Clan?" Yan Hara muttered. "So what if they're from a different organization? It doesn't change the fact that they are Demon Sealers and many of their original mbers ca from the Demon Sealing Clan."
After a slight pause, Yan Hara continued, "I intended on revealing this once I beco the leader of the Demon Sealing Clan, but I might as well say it now."
She took a deep breath and said, "The Demon Sealing Grotto has agreed to rge with the Demon Sealing Clan, becoming one again."
"What? The Demon Sealing Grotto? I thought we were at war with them?"
The mbers of Qian Chu's group started mumbling to each other. Even amongst Yan Hara's group, there were many who were surprised by this information.
Suddenly, a loud voice rang out from outside. "W-We have a problem! We have a huge problem!" Everyone in the library turned toward the sound just in ti to see a guard rushing in.
"What's the matter?" soone asked.
"Th-The Demon Sealing Grotto! The Demon Sealing Grotto is invading us! And it's not just a few of them! It looks like they brought everyone!" The guard exclaid.
"What?!"
Everyone there turned to look at Yan Hara.
"B-But you just said that they planned to rge with us?! What is the aning of this, Yan Hara?!"
"I knew it! You were just spewing lies!"
However, Yan Hara remained calm and asked the guard, "Are you sure they're here to invade us? Did they say they were going to do so?"
"T-That's…" The guard opened his mouth, but was utterly speechless.
In truth, he escaped in fear the mont he saw the Demon Sealing Grotto.
Without saying a word, Yan Hara turned around and started walking outside.
Qian Chu and the others watched in silence for a mont before following her.
Outside, Zhou Yanfei and the entire Demon Sealing Grotto had gathered, encircling the gates of the Demon Sealing Clan's Grand Library.
So ti later, Zhou Yanfei and the others could see a massive group of people coming out of the library.
"What is the aning of this, Zhou Yanfei? Are you looking to start an all-out war with us today?" Qian Chu's voice resounded before they could even see his face.
