"Their weapons? They are called Limitless Armaments," Officer Mei responded.
"So the glowing blades are created from Limitless? Who are these two, anyway?"
"The one with the spear is called Shi Fa, and his opponent is Wu Wang. They are both Gladiators and in the top 500."
"Top 500, huh? That's pretty impressive," Yuan muttered, wondering if he needed to reach such a high rank before he could fight petent opponents.
"How was your match? Did you win?" Officer Mei suddenly asked him.
"What do you think?"
"..."
After a moment of silence, she responded, "Quite frankly, even though you have a low cultivation base, your bat expertise is one of the best I've seen, rivaling even those two Gladiators. I think you have a good chance of winning as long as your opponent wasn't in the Fourth Ascension."
Officer Mei trembled inwardly just recalling her spar with Yuan.
Yuan chuckled and said, "Although the experience was not what I anticipated, it was fun nonetheless. I even managed to reach the rank of Novice."
"What?" Officer Mei finally stopped watching the display and turned to look at Yuan with a puzzled face.
"How is that possible? You need at least twenty victories—or ten in a row to reach Novice as a beginner. How many matches did you do in such a short time?"
"Ten, and I won all of them," Yuan calmly replied.
Officer Mei's eyes widened with shock at his words, as she'd only expected him to plete two to three matches in such a short time.
"Hah!" A disdainful sneer resounded nearby before mocking Yuan out loud. "Buddy, if you're going to lie to impress a girl, try not to make it so obvious."
Another remarked while chuckling, "Ten wins in a row? At the Second Ascension? Hahaha!"
Despite the mockery, Yuan remained calm, even ignoring them.
Meanwhile, Officer Mei doubted Yuan only for a moment—at least until she noticed his cultivation had skyrocketed to Sixth Level Second Ascension.
'Good lord! He actually went on a ten-win streak on his first day! And it hasn't even been an hour since he started!' she cried inwardly, realizing that Yuan was even more monstrous than she'd thought.
"Are you going to continue?" she asked him a moment later.
Yuan nodded, "I want to see how far I can go. You can head back first if you want."
"I don't mind waiting," she said.
"I want to see how long before you get a spotlight on the display."
"Then I will continue my matches now," said Yuan.
However, as he turned around and started walking away, someone placed a hand on his shoulder, halting him.
Yuan slowly turned around to see a young man standing behind him with a wide grin on his face.
"Want to spar with me instead?"
"What would I gain out of beating a nobody like you?" Yuan asked with a puzzled face.
"I'd rather not waste my time," he added.
"What did you just say?" The young man immediately frowned.
Then, a look of realization crossed his face. "Oh, I see. You are just afraid that you will lose to me and expose yourself."
"If you went on a 10-win streak, you should have no issues fighting me, who also just happened to reach Novice."
Yuan sighed out loud and said, "I couldn't care less whether you believe me or not, but I am not going to waste my time if fighting you has no benefits."
"Benefits, huh? How about this? If you manage to defeat me, I will give you fifty points."
Yuan raised an eyebrow and asked, "Points? What is that?"
The young man stared at Yuan with a dumbfounded look.
"You don't even know about points?"
Officer Mei quickly spoke, "Ah, I forgot to mention it to you earlier since I wasn't expecting you to reach Novice so quickly, but once you reach that rank, you can obtain points for every win, and you can use them to exchange for additional rewards. Of course, you can also trade them."
'Sounds like a system that can easily be abused…' Yuan thought to himself.
"Fifty points, huh? Is that a lot?"
"Well, you get around 5 points per victory, more if you're on a win-streak," Officer Mei said.
"Sounds good." Yuan nodded. "However, I don't have any points."
"That's fine," said the young man, as he just wanted the opportunity to put liars like Yuan in his place. "I don't need anything from you even if you lose to me."
"Alright. How do we do this?"
"We can set up a custom match. It won't count towards your records, either. What's your player name?"
"Yuan."
"My name is Gu Kecheng. Make sure you accept my request once you see my name."
Yuan fell silent after hearing the young man's name.
"Alright…" he said a moment later.
They went to the waiting room shortly after.
After waiting around for a few minutes, Yuan received a custom match request.

Meanwhile, inside Gu Kecheng's waiting room, his eyes widened with shock after Yuan accepted his match request.

"T-Ten wins in a row?! He actually has a ten-win streak?!" he cried out in disbelief.
As the challenger, Gu Kecheng could not view their opponent's status, except for their rank, until the challenge was accepted, so he was caught off guard by the unexpected situation.
"Fuck! My fifty points! I am screwed!"
"N-No! This doesn't automatically mean that I will lose to him! My cultivation is still two realms higher than his!"
