"Good!"
Perhaps because the Dragon Pearl had been retrieved, the Old Turtle Demon's mood was quite good. He waved his hand and said indifferently, "Mansion Masters, go to the Treasure Vault and fetch a weapon."
He even added,
"Rember, make sure it's heavy, so as not to disappoint young friend Ao Guang."
"As you command, Elder Gui!"
The Great Demons gave Zhang Kui a look, half-smiling, and turned to leave the Sea God Hall.
"Is this guy an idiot?"
Once outside, the Red Flood Dragon laughed scornfully, "We spirit cultivators cultivate with Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi and spell arts. What's the use of a heavy weapon?"
"Our East Sea Water Mansion has countless treasures, even Divine Artifacts can be given away, yet this guy only wants a heavier weapon... haha, truly clueless..."
Mansion Master You smiled slightly,
"Probably just a country demon. We shouldn't bother; better to send him off sooner."
The Yaksha General's expression turned serious,
"But this guy is really strong, a complete freak. Ordinary things won't easily fool him."
Mansion Master You pondered,
"A few days ago, didn't we find an Ancient Bronze Hamr in the Secret Realm exploration? It's the size of a round table and solid inside, heavy enough. No one's been able to use it, so let's carry it over for him."
The Yaksha General laughed heartily,
"That hamr is stupid and clunky, suits that wild demon perfectly."
While the mansion masters went to fetch the weapon, Zhang Kui idly looked around out of boredom.
Of course, under the Tongyou Skill, nothing could hide. He soon noticed sothing off with the gatekeeper Fish Demon.
In its mind was a mass of black Qi, squirming like a living thing, covered with tiny eyes.
Hundred-Eyed Demon Monarch...
Zhang Kui imdiately thought of this East Sea Water Mansion's adversary, but acted as if he had seen nothing, turning his head away.
This Hundred-Eyed Demon Monarch was truly skilled, managing to infiltrate the core area of the East Sea Water Mansion sohow.
However, Zhang Kui wasn't interested in exposing it. He ca to return the Dragon Pearl, only to cause chaos, making sure the Sea Race had no ti to harass the Human Race. The more chaotic, the better.
Other than that, there was nothing unusual about the Sea God Hall, except the many arrays set up inside the walls, all to protect that dragon head fossil.
Just then, with the sound of chaotic heavy footsteps, more than a dozen sturdy Yakshas carried a Bronze Hamr, grunting and sweating as they entered the hall.
Faces flushing red, legs trembling.
Well, well...
Zhang Kui beca interested in the round table-sized Bronze Hamr. Judging by the length of the handle, it was comparable to that Left Vanguard.
Mansion Master You followed in, smiling, "This Bronze Hamr hasn't been tested, but it's over six thousand pounds. You should be satisfied, right?"
Zhang Kui didn't move but chuckled,
"No, it's unusable."
Mansion Master You's eyes imdiately turned cold,
"You asked for a heavy weapon. If you can't lift it, that's your problem, not ours."
Zhang Kui snorted coldly, "This thing looks like an Ancient Artifact. If it can't acknowledge a master, how is it different from a lump of iron?"
Mansion Master You was montarily stunned, then burst into laughter. Even the Old Turtle Demon joined in, full of condescension.
"What are you laughing at?"
A hint of ferocity flashed in Zhang Kui's eyes.
The Old Turtle Demon shook his head, "Young friend, you must only know of the Blood Refining Skill. There are already studies that developed the Divine Refining Skill, which is not restricted once at the Grain Avoidance Realm. It's just that Blood Refining Skill suits oneself better."
"Alright, it's not a profound spell, I'll teach it to you."
As he spoke, he slightly opened his mouth, and a set of incantations instantly flowed into Zhang Kui's ear.
In truth, the reasoning behind the Divine Refining Skill was simple. A Divine Artifact was unrestricted because it had an Artifact Spirit. One only needed to split a thread of Divine Soul into the Ancient Artifact to serve as the Artifact Spirit, then it wouldn't be restricted.
Zhang Kui maintained a neutral expression, but was inwardly delighted. Not to ntion, just learning the Divine Refining Skill was a considerable gain.
Though the Human Race was weak, in the future the Grain Avoidance Realm would surely increase, giving those ownerless Ancient Artifacts a purpose.
"I've truly been ignorant..."
Benefiting from this, Zhang Kui didn't get angry and soon received the Bronze Hamr according to the thod.
This hamr's ability was quite simple; it could produce a vibration effect, which, combined with its weight, made it a formidable weapon on the battlefield.
But thinking to get rid of with just this, is wishful thinking.
Zhang Kui glanced at the assembled demons and smiled slightly. Then, with one hand, he lifted the hamr, swung it with a whoosh, and slamd it heavily onto the ground.
Boom!
A large section of the Sea God Hall floor shattered as Zhang Kui looked on with disdain in his eyes. "Not only is it light, it's also crude and stupid. If it's not there, it's not there. Don't try to fool with this rubbish."
The crowd of demons felt chills running through their scalps. This item requires a Mahayana Realm expert to exert mana just to move it, yet this guy swung it easily with just his physical strength. Truly a freak.
However, while Zhang Kui wanted to learn from Sun Wukong, these demons lacked the Old Dragon King's magnanimity.
Before the Mansion Master You and the others could speak, Elder Gui said indifferently, "Such a heavy thing is still not enough. Don't trouble us, young friend; either take it and leave or choose another one carefully."
Mansion Master You and his companions also wore cold expressions, obviously not interested in wasting ti with him.
Zhang Kui sneered inwardly, increasingly looking down on this bunch, but he couldn't pass up the benefits he was due.
After thinking for a mont, Zhang Kui suddenly asked, "I need high-quality Evil Qi. Does the East Sea Water Mansion have any information?"
He was sowhat anxious, as the quality of the Evil Qi he had obtained was too low, greatly reducing the power of his Flying Sword Skill. He had searched everywhere on land and didn't know if there might be any in the sea.
To his surprise, the ntion of this made all the demons' expressions turn peculiar. The Yaksha General mocked, "Where did you crawl out from, not even knowing about the Ancient Cave of Silent Extinction?"
"Ancient Cave of Silent Extinction..."
Zhang Kui furrowed his brows. "What kind of place is that?"
The Turtle Demon said calmly,
"A thousand miles east of the Water Mansion, there's an undersea rift constantly shrouded in Evil Qi, breeding peculiarities. If you dare to go, you are sure to find the Evil Qi you want, but only if you have the life to take it."
"Hahaha..."
Zhang Kui laughed heartily, "Whether I have the life or not is my own concern. Farewell, gentlen!"
With that, he was about to leave.
He was already rather impatient.
"Wait a mont."
Mansion Master You pointed at the Bronze Hamr, "Take that thing with you, too. Don't say our Water Mansion is stingy, trading a well-known piece of information for a Dragon Pearl."
Zhang Kui glanced at the demons, said nothing, hoisted the Giant Hamr onto his shoulder, and walked out. Once he got outside, he imdiately cut through the water and disappeared without a trace in no ti.
"Hmph!"
The Yaksha General snorted, "A country bumpkin with no sense of appreciation."
"Pay him no heed."
Elder Gui waved his hand, "There might be soone formidable backing him; let's just get rid of him."
With that, a hint of excitent flashed in his eyes. "We discovered that thing a millennium ago, but unfortunately, the Dragon Pearl was lost. Now that it's recovered, we can finally take action."
A few Great Demons couldn't help but breathe more heavily. Mansion Master You, suppressing his excitent, said, "If it truly succeeds, with a wave of our hands, we could wipe out the Sea Eye, and maybe even break through the Netherworld Ruins Sea."
The Old Turtle Demon's eyes glead with blood-red light,
"There's no ti to lose. We'll set off imdiately once the remaining mansion masters return!"
Elsewhere, after traveling several dozen miles, Zhang Kui leaped out of the sea, chanted a few incantations, and blew on the Bronze Hamr.
The hamr, originally the size of a round table, quickly shrank until it was rely palm-sized, easily fitting back into his Personal Space.
Zhang Kui turned and looked coldly in the direction of the Water Mansion. "A bunch of fools. I'll co back and play with you after I find the Evil Qi."
At that mont, he suddenly frowned, imdiately concealing his figure.
The seawater around him suddenly turned pitch black, with endless Yin Qi rising. Countless Deep Sea rfolk approached from the north, surrounding the East Sea Water Mansion in an unbroken line.
In the sky, dark clouds suddenly rolled in, and one by one, enormous eyes opened, emitting eerie ghostly light, fixating on the East Sea Water Mansion.
"Hundred-Eyed Demon Monarch!"
Over the water of the Water Mansion, the illusionary dharma aspect of the Old Turtle Demon and four mansion masters rose abruptly.
The Old Turtle Demon's eyes were full of caution,
"Why are you besieging my Water Mansion?"
The cold voice reverberated through the sky: "If you don't hand over the Dragon Pearl, none of you in the East Sea Water Mansion will survive today!"
"Never!"
The sea surface imdiately churned with massive waves rising to the sky.
The Hundred-Eyed Demon Monarch truly was fierce. The Old Turtle Demon and the four Mahayana Realm demons barely held on.
"Hold on, everyone..."
The Old Turtle Demon's voice was tinged with urgency, "Once the other mansion masters return, we'll surely drive off this old demon."
From a distance, Zhang Kui chuckled quietly, this Dragon Pearl truly was a source of chaos; better to keep the battlefield far from land.
The standoff between the East Sea Water Mansion and the Hundred-Eyed Demon Monarch has lasted for thousands of years, certainly not sothing that will end quickly. Better to find the Evil Qi and then co back to join the fun.
Thinking of this, Zhang Kui concealed his form and quickly headed east...
