Now reading: Chapter 96: Chen Lingxiang Is Stunned—Could Lu Ye Be Even St from Cultivation: the Rise of a Live-In Son-In-Law, a Eastern novel by Blowing Snow Off the Eaves.

Currently, with two tokens, it is equivalent to being able to weaken the formation’s power by half.

But including Liu Ruyan, none of them felt completely assured.

After all, the formation expertise of a peak Martial Arts Grandmaster isn’t low, and most Martial Arts Cultivators don’t have a deep understanding of formations.

Sotis, even a Tier Three array can exhibit power comparable to Tier Four.

Lu Ye appeared calr; if they truly couldn’t dismantle the formation guarding the cave mansion, they could always rely on Xiao Ling to retreat.

A mont later, the two embedded the two tokens into the holes together...

Click click click...

Soon after, the thick stone door, made from so unknown material, slowly opened.

A musty sll, long sealed, wafted out.

"Inside, there are still chain trapping and killing arrays. Young Master Lu, you must be careful." Liu Ruyan glanced at Lu Ye, secretly praying for him.

Her own strength wasn’t enough to bring Lu Ye, a "Postnatal Third Layer," through; she could only hope Lu Ye would be fortunate.

She originally planned to quickly absorb Lu Ye’s essence and, after entering the secret treasure, whether Lu Ye lived was irrelevant.

Yet unexpectedly, along the way... this person’s willpower was terrifyingly strong.

He didn’t give her a single opportunity to strike.

Seeing Liu Ruyan step into the formation first, as she was instantly obscured by it, Lu Ye turned his head to Chen Lingxiang.

"Miss Chen, the formations are dangerous; we better not separate."

If they didn’t separate, he could rely on Xiao Ling to avoid the strongest formation attacks and look after Chen Lingxiang.

"Mm, thank you, Young Master Lu." Chen Lingxiang imdiately understood, hurriedly stepping forward two paces, closely following behind Lu Ye.

Instantly, the two stepped into the formation one after the other.

The open door of the cave mansion closed once more...

Upon entering the formation, they were imdiately surrounded by a forest, with towering trees blocking their vision.

Faint sounds seed to co from afar.

"This is another trap-kill integrated array. This peak Martial Arts Grandmaster seems particularly fond of this combination." Lu Ye glanced around and sensed lurking dangers within the forest.

However, perhaps due to the formation being weakened by half, the lurking dangers only made Lu Ye mildly alert, not enough to raise his hair in alarm.

Just as Lu Ye stepped forward two paces, a thick arrow silently shot out from behind him!

The arrowhead glimred with a cold light, seemingly capable of easily penetrating the barrier of Innate True Qi.

Since they were back-to-back, Lu Ye’s back was Chen Lingxiang’s front. She was the first to notice the arrow and imdiately shot out a stream of Innate True Qi.

Unexpectedly, the attack, potent enough to severely wound an Innate First Layer, was effortlessly pierced by the arrow!

Whoosh!

Eyes wide open, Chen Lingxiang quickly pulled out a round Magical Artifact Shield, infusing Innate True Qi into it to rapidly form a barrier.

As Lu Ye turned his head, he saw a Lower Grade Profound Tier Magical Artifact Shield standing in front of them.

The arrow was about to hit...

In an instant, Lu Ye judged that the shield’s defense was insufficient to block the arrow.

His palm suddenly clenched into a fist, stepping outside the shield’s defensive range, he confronted the arrow head-on, punching out.

What Chen Lingxiang saw was... a human-shaped weapon leaping forward, shattering the arrow she viewed as a significant threat with rely a punch.

This scene left Chen Lingxiang profoundly shocked. She felt that facing such a punch... she had a ninety-nine percent chance of failing to block it.

Watching Lu Ye stand tall and upright before her, a slight sense of security unexpectedly welled up within Chen Lingxiang, making her expression sowhat peculiar.

"Just watch out for attacks from behind; handling them is my responsibility." Lu Ye reflected for a mont before speaking.

No wonder it’s a peak Martial Arts Grandmaster’s secret treasure; even the weakened attacks aren’t sothing ordinary Innate Early Stage can easily withstand.

Liu Ruyan is alone, and she seems to know quite a bit about this secret treasure. Lu Ye feared delaying any longer would allow Liu Ruyan to first breach the formation and snatch the treasures.

Upon hearing this, Chen Lingxiang was aware of her lack of strength, imdiately nodding: "Mm, Young Master Lu, I’ll assist you."

At this mont, Chen Lingxiang felt a bit fortunate; luckily, she encountered Lu Ye. Otherwise, even if she had a key to the secret treasure, relying on her strength alone would not be enough to pass through these barriers.

Next, Chen Lingxiang witnessed what it ant to hold the fort alone.

Within the array, no matter where the attacks erged, none could breach a ter around Lu Ye.

Even against the terrifying blade light that made Chen Lingxiang feel a twinge of despair, Lu Ye could confront it with a Mortal Tier Middle Grade Magical Artifact Longsword!

This shock could be tangibly felt by the following Chen Lingxiang.

"How do I feel that Lu Ye is already much stronger than the ancestor?" Chen Lingxiang murmured internally.

It’s known that the Chen Family Ancestor at Innate Eighth Layer is the most powerful ancestor among the Innate Clans for miles around!

But, how old is Lu Ye now?

Stronger than the Innate Eighth Layer implies at least an Innate Ninth Layer.

And among the Innate Ninth Layer... in the Northern Territory, perhaps previously the youngest was Xiao Yun, Myriad Laws Sect’s first direct disciple, known as the first among the younger generation in the Northern Territory! At the age of twenty-nine.

As for Lu Ye now, Chen Lingxiang didn’t know his exact age, but she could assert that...

He probably wouldn’t exceed twenty-five!

Which ans, at least four years younger than Xiao Yun, the previously acknowledged number one in the Northern Territory, and his strength... was likely on par.

Indeed, it’s terrifying.

On the other side.

Liu Ruyan was also charging through the formation, and now, with no outsiders around, she had already revealed her true form to move faster.

Her fox ears captured the surrounding sounds, and three huge tails swung behind her, sweeping through the air with a peculiar aroma unique to the Fox Race.

After resolving an attack, Liu Ruyan looked behind and murmured: "A fine furnace shouldn’t just fall like this."

She hadn’t even tasted Lu Ye’s essence yet!

Glancing ahead, Liu Ruyan estimated that in about ten minutes, she should be able to break through.

The weakened threats and her understanding of the place convinced Liu Ruyan that at such a speed, she would be far ahead even if Lu Ye and Chen Lingxiang hadn’t fallen.

...

Finally, after more than ten minutes, Liu Ruyan stepped out of the Chain Killing Array.

Just before exiting the array, she withdrew her true form and returned to her charming appearance.

Before her, there were two passageways; one road was obviously filled with traps, visible by the nurous skeletons upon it.

The other road had a chanism stone door with a groove in front.

Liu Ruyan, with a stern look, surprisingly retrieved a carefully preserved head from her Storage Ring and extracted so fresh blood from it! She let the blood drip into the groove!

At that mont, Lu Ye, with Chen Lingxiang in tow, also made their way out and happened to witness this scene.
