Jacob watched everything play out without speaking another word. Still, the more he heard the conversation between Destin Saint and Alexandra, the more astounded he beca, especially once he confird that Alexandra hadn’t told Destin Saint about her encounter with him in the Path of Legend.
Moreover, Jacob also noticed that Alexandra seed to be wary of Destin Saint, and what left him in disbelief was that Destin Saint appeared to be aware of it. Yet, he could easily lead Alexandra by the nose, making him extrely wary of the mysterious owner of the UGS.
At that mont, Jacob heard Destin Saint reply to Alexandra when she asked him what he was going to do with Jacob, making Jacob’s eyes flare with eerie sharpness.
But when he heard Destin Saint’s answer, Jacob was astounded because, first, it confird that Destin Saint didn’t seem to have any plan to kill him, or more accurately, Destin Saint appeared to be wary of Cursed Immortality’s hidden powers and life-preserving thods.
However, this also brought Jacob so relief because Destin Saint personally admitted that he had no idea about the Cursed One’s UGS or its abilities, not to ntion he wasn’t even aware of Cursed Immortality’s forbidden arcane law.
Nonetheless, Jacob was now sure that the ’Cursed One’ was none other than the heir of Cursed Immortality, especially when Destin Saint told Alexandra that without destroying the Cursed One’s UGS, it was impossible to end the Cursed One entirely. Still, it would bring the Zodiac Plains another era of peace.
Lastly, Jacob heard Destin Saint stating that the Cursed One had always been the source of fear, even in bygone and untold eras, and it was the first ti Destin Saint had captured the Cursed One.
"So, this Destin Saint isn’t specifically targeting ..." Jacob curtly stated with a hint of bitterness, "He’s targeting because I’m the Cursed One! Simply put, I’m being attacked by such entities all because I’m associated with the Universal Godly Scripture...Cursed Immortality!"
"Hahahahaha..." Immortika’s wanton laughter reverberated like a thunderclap, "...if I say, ’yes’, then tell , will it change anything? Don’t you rember what I’ve asked of you before I accepted you as my heir? I wonder if your conviction from back then has changed?"
Jacob fell into silence because he couldn’t retort since he knew what Immortika was hinting at.
"Anything for immortality..." Jacob muttered the sa thing he had answered Immortika that day.
’I was told what I’m getting into, and the dangers associated with it. So, I can’t bla anyone but myself...’ Jacob thought bitterly before he cald down because even if he had another chance, he would walk on the sa path as long as he could achieve immortality.
But a question still lingered in Jacob’s mind as he coldly spoke, "Just what did you do to make the entire Zodiac Plains fear you so much? Not only aren’t those heirs dead early? What are you hiding still?"
"Heh, I’m an open book, I can’t hide anything..." Immortika cryptically replied teasingly.
Jacob was unconvinced, but at that mont, the reality moved again, and this ti, Alexandra asked another question, which drew Jacob’s full attention.
[So, you want to study him? Or turn him into your puppet?"]
Jacob’s heart turned cold as a chill ran down his spine when he thought about the possibility of falling into the hands of soone like Destin Saint, who was infinitely powerful than him, not to ntion the forr has a UGS.
If Destin Saint really planned to make him a puppet, Jacob knew it wouldn’t be as easy as his previous encounters when he was able to escape from his enemies’ clutches after lying low for a ti.
But this ti, the enemy was an extrely terrifying entity that probably knows so of the essential advantages of the Universal Godly Scriptures. At that mont, Destin Saint proved it.
["Hoho...studying an Heir of UGS without its UGS is impossible. Moreover, do you think there’s sothing capable of turning you into a puppet, Miss?"]
"[See? It’s impossible. Maybe in a short span of ti, I might be able to restrain the Cursed One, but it’s too dangerous, and I have no idea how much my restrictions will affect the Cursed One or if they will work at all..."]

Jacob felt relieved because Destin Saint really wasn’t planning on turning him into a puppet. Still, he was more agitated because the forr also knew about the unique advantages Jacob had over others.
However, at that mont, Alexandra said sothing that Jacob had missed, and he beca alert, his eyes flaring violently when he heard Destin Saint’s answer.
["What do you an by it? There’s even a bigger threat than this Cursed One? Don’t tell it’s another heir of UGS?"]
["It might be another Heir of UGS or might not, to this day...this threat is real, and truth be known, this threat is actually the real hunter who’s been hunting and killing Cursed Ones for a very long ti!"]
["Hunting down the Cursed Ones? You an the heirs of UGS before this guy?"]
["Yes, his predecessors were all hunted down and killed by the sa entity."]
"They are talking about that ’hunter’, right!?" Jacob couldn’t help but ask loudly, as he felt he had stumbled upon another huge secret, one that was also related to sothing that had been bothering him and threatening his very existence.
However, hearing from Destin Saint’s mouth that even he considered this ’hunter’ a much bigger threat than the ’Cursed One’, Jacob felt his life was really turning out to be miserable, and all of this because he was too weak!
As Jacob continued to hear Alexandra questioning Destin Saint about this ’entity’, he realized that she suggested letting the hunter and him fight and destroy each other instead of discussing risk and making a move against Jacob independently. This made Jacob see Alexandra in a new light, for she was too astute.
However, this exact fact made Destin Saint even more formidable because he was able to make Alexandra work for him despite her intellectual abilities and shrewd mind.
At that mont, Destin Saint replied, and when Jacob heard it, he was enlightened...
["Hoh, your suggestion is indeed feasible...but Miss, there’s a reason I can’t allow that entity...Although no one knows when...I was able to confirm that every ti this entity successfully hunted down the Cursed One, it grows stronger at a terrifying rate.]

Jacob didn’t know what to feel because, if he considered things from Destin Saint’s perspective, the latter wasn’t doing anything wrong; he was moving first to ensure his enemy wouldn’t grow even stronger.
However, this fact made him vexed and furious because he felt like a pawn on soone else’s chessboard, and both parties wanted him to serve their own purposes.
Furthermore, from Alexandra’s expression and reaction, he knew that she wasn’t happy about being dragged into this fight between Destin Saint and that hunter. Yet, Destin Saint had fully masterfully manipulated her, leaving her no choice but to side with him.
Moreover, Jacob also took great pleasure in Alexandra’s misfortune when he saw how Destin Saint shalessly played innocent and, like a saint, thanked her on behalf of the entire Zodiac Plains.
But at that mont, Jacob’s expression turned solemn because Destin Saint revealed the na of that hunter and its background...
