Nyx still had many questions for Jacob after sensing his sudden urgency and hearing his strange questions, but Jacob dismissed her because he couldn’t explain what he couldn’t understand himself.
Once he cut the connection with Nyx, Jacob felt exhausted, but he knew everything was far from over, and without hesitation, he coldly called, "Cursed Immortality!"
This ti, the cursed book appeared without a hitch, as usual, before Immortika’s jolly yet eerie voice teased, "Hehe, you handled everything pretty well for soone who considered himself dead!"
Jacob didn’t even have the mind to retort or feel annoyed at Immortika’s usual attitude, and instead got straight to the point, "So, I really ca back to the past, huh?"
"Heh, does it matter? Past, Present, and Future are illusions, as long as you take control of the mont, that’s what it truly ans to be alive."Immortika profoundly remarked.
’Illusions?’ Jacob was perplexed and beca more confused, but he couldn’t move on and asked the main questions he wanted answers to, "I don’t have ti for your riddles. Just tell what that Destin Saint’s arcane law is? Is it ’Destiny’ or ’Ti’? And don’t give crap about you not knowing anything because you knew from the beginning!"
"Oh, the Law of Destiny and Ti are comprehensible, as you know it well. Then why do you think that Universal Godly Scripture is related to ’just’ Destiny and Ti? Why not both? Or why can’t a Universal Scripture play with ti and density like fiddles? Why place a limiter on your imagination? Do you still not understand, despite being my heir all along? The answer to your questions lies within you.
"As for how ’we’ know, don’t you get it? When destiny pulls strings and ti jiggles, there are ’infinite’ possibilities. Do you get it?"Immortika’s voice turned profound without any hint of the cursed book’s usual carefree tone.
At that mont, Jacob felt he was suddenly struck by a lightning bolt when he heard Immortika’s final words, and all the hints dropped by Immortika fell into place.
"There are ’infinite’ possibilities...infinite..." Jacob muttered as his eyes flared like suns as if he was on the verge of comprehending sothing extrely cruel to his very existence.
However, as quickly as that feeling arrives, it eludes him even quicker as if he were missing sothing to capture it like a vessel.
"Tsk, tsk, a pity really, you still didn’t have the Longevity Path Glory Gem, or it would be very entertaining. Hehe..." Immortika curtly stated, "But it seed what I was trying to imply finally got to you."
Jacob regained his focus and, at the sa ti, finally understood what had just happened, especially after Immortika clarified it. He felt like his resentnt for Immortal Nimrod was growing to a peak.
’I was probably about to comprehend the Arcane Law, but because of that bastard, I missed my chance again!’
Jacob gnashed his exposed teeth as he wanted to tornt Immortal Nimrod with every fiber of his being. Still, when he rembered how cunning and powerful Immortal Nimrod was, he felt utterly helpless.
"I’ll get it eventually!" Jacob’s voice lacked confidence, but he quickly got to the main topic, as many of his questions were still unanswered.
"Anyway, so what you’re trying to say is, Destin Saint is hiding his true Arcane Law, or others simply can’t guess it because his Arcane Law seed to be related to both destiny and ti.
"However, the Godly Ability he activated didn’t seem like a causal rewind of ti, nor did it seem like he had brought back the past using predetermined density. It was more like a do-over where he would not only erase his past mistakes but also hold an absolute advantage over his enemies.
"Nonetheless, I was able to remain unaffected by it, or as you said, ’we’ rembered everything, because my arcane law, ’Infinity’, can counter whatever arcane law Destin Saint had, and he clearly didn’t have any idea about it."
Jacob tried to summarize Immortika’s words to the best of his ability, with a hint of elation when he realized how powerful his own arcane law was, which could even counter Destin Saint’s godly ability.
His hate for Immortal Nimrod grows even more because the latter held the primary component that allows Jacob to comprehend this terrifying power!
"Hehehe, mostly correct except for one thing..."Immortika suddenly chid in, "He ’had’ no idea about it because now..."
Jacob’s heart sank when he realized what Immortika was trying to imply, "He knows now because he was supposed to be the only one who knew what was going to happen. However, my action directly diverged from the ’past’ he had foreseen, and I managed to escape.
"If I were Destin Saint, I would probably be going crazy if I suddenly found out that my godly ability doesn’t work on a being that I considered a ’bug’ that I can crush or manipulate as I pleased!"
His tone grew grave, and a hint of unease surfaced in his eyes, "That’s why the next ti he cos after , he won’t be there just to obstruct Immortal Nimrod anymore, but also to get rid of future danger that could endanger his very existence even more than Immortal Nimrod!"
"Hahahahaha...that’s what I find even more entertaining. However, you’re overthinking it too much, since to reach that exact conclusion, he needs more evidence. After all, in his perspective, you weren’t completely ’unaffected’, were you?"Immortika playfully alluded.
Jacob was startled; he didn’t imdiately understand what Immortika was implying; however, when he thought more carefully, he finally understood, his eyes flickering with realization.
"Indeed! Only my mind wasn’t affected by his ability, but my body and soul, in a way, were affected, or was it? What if I complete phase four of my scripture or acquire so treasures, and that cunning weasel decides to erase that present? Will my progress go back, or will that treasure I’ve acquired be returned to where it was?"
Jacob quickly posed this question as it was essential to understand how much Destin Saint’s ability could affect him.
Immortika suddenly burst into wanton laughter, "Hahahahaha...now, now let’s not get ahead of ourselves. This is all for you to find out I can only reveal what you understand or experienced. I can’t help you confirm your theories. Besides, it’ll be more interesting this way, don’t you think!"
