The trembling Brocade Box uttered word by word as if having a great difficulty to portmanteau. When it finished, its voice turned extrely feeble while the pattern on it almost stopped as if waiting for the incoming retribution.
Furthermore, the Brocade Box thought Jacob wouldn’t be able to preserve the Taboo Na and even suffered a ntal blow because of his recklessness.
However, at that mont, Jacob uttered, "Fantastic Insect Demiurge?!"
The Brocade Box instantly stopped trembling, as if it had forgotten its fears.
"YOU heard it!?" The Artifact Spirit almost shrieked in disbelief and astonishnt.
But Jacob didn’t pay attention to its theatrics because at that mont, Jacob’s mind was filled with shock and incredulity.
’A Demiurge...so it exists!’
Jacob felt as if he had stumbled upon sothing terrifying because he also rembered sothing about this title, for it wasn’t the first ti he had heard it.
’When Autarch had turned into an eternal slave, the first thing that he told was that his loyalty and trust should only belong to the Demiurge. At the ti, I thought it was just a concept, so kind of inherited legend of Autarch’s race. I even said to him I would be his Demiurge since he feels the sa kind of loyalty and trust towards , and that matter ended...’
Jacob’s eyes flared violently with dense killing intent.
’However, who would’ve thought that a real Demiurge would pop out of nowhere, and this Demiurge’s na is also ’Fantastic Insect Demiurge’, pretty obvious.
’Now that I finally know who this ’Supre One’ is, everything is starting to make sense. First, the Fantastic Insect Race couldn’t be controlled by anyone; the Void Mantis was the pri example.
’The Void Mantis betrayed Immortal Nimrod despite its terrifying dominance in the Universal Void and earned the latter’s hatred. But the Void Mantis didn’t go into hiding; instead, it sought shelter with the Fantastic Insect Demiurge and even beca its loyalist.
’Even if I assud the Void Mantis was weak and he needed a powerful backer to continue to grow and also serves as a deterrence to the Immortal Nimrod, it still won’t make sense for the Void Mantis, who had achieved the rank of Higher God, to risk its life by traversing the Universal Void.
’Not only that, but it also sacrificed its very foundation just to get a chance to search for the heretic and then even put his life on the line to get rid of the Heretic despite knowing that there was a ’hidden one’ protecting the Heretic.
’But what if it was the Fantastic Insect Demiurge who had manipulated the Void Mantis into betraying Immortal Nimrod so the latter could beco the forr’s strong general.
’And what if the Fantastic Insect Demiurge has this kind of effect on every Fantastic Insect in existence? After all, when Autarch gained intelligence, the first thing he ntioned was his loyalty to the Demiurge.
’Which ans, once Autarch reached a certain rank, he was supposed to do the sa as Whiteness, and join the Fantastic Insect Demiurge. But I interfered, and whatever control the Fantastic Insect Demiurge had on Autarch vanished.
’That’s why Autarch beca the Heretic, and probably for this exact reason he needed to be eliminated...’ Jacob thought he had guessed almost everything, but he knew there was more to it, ’But it still won’t make sense for the Fantastic Insect Demiurge to send a Higher Law God Void Mantis right off the bat. Could it be the Demiurge want sothing from Autarch or the Supre One felt...threatened?’
Jacob was astounded at his own notion because this was simply too absurd, as this was a Demiurge that seed to have profound control over the entire Fantastic Insect Race, and such an existence wouldn’t feel threatened by a tiny speck of dust.
However, nothing else made sense anymore, and Jacob decided to believe that Autarch had sothing the Demiurge wanted, but he couldn’t extinguish the thought of Autarch as a threat to the Demiurge.
Nonetheless, now that Jacob knew what terrifying existence was after Autarch, and not even Immortal Nimrod could do anything to it, he knew he needed to tread even more carefully from now on.
Jacob finally focused on the Brocade box as he inquired, "What else do you know about the ’Demiurge’?"
The Brocade Box seed to have cald down after realizing nothing had happened, even though it had said the taboo na and Jacob had repeated it. Unknowingly, it finally started to believe in the power of the Infinite Space, which can elude the eyes of even a Demiurge.
But it doesn’t an the Brocade Box was a simpleton; it had finally realized that Jacob had been fishing for information.
"Enough!" The artifact spirit sounded exasperated, "Information about these types of entities isn’t easy to probe, not to ntion most of the ti, what they showed is the complete opposite of the truth.
"Moreover, knowing too much is only bringing ruin to oneself, and even Lord Whiteness knew about it and always tread carefully, and I strongly suggest you do so as well."
’Well, it seems I’ll have to wait for it to calm down...’ Jacob thought as his eyes flickered coldly.
But he didn’t push any further because deep down, he agreed with the Artifact Spirit, for even Immortika had warned him about these things.
"Now, tell what kind of Fantastic Insect are you?" The Artifact Spirit questioned again.
Jacob thought for a mont about whether he should tell the truth or keep it that way.
"Eclipse Alipes Imhoff, ranked 18th in the Fantastic Insect Race!" Jacob stated impassively.
"18th? How’s that possible?" The Artifact Spirit sounded startled.
Jacob guessed what the artifact spirit might be thinking as he coldly rebutted, "What? Can’t you believe a Fantastic Insect, not even ranked within the top ten, can take down a Void Mantis? Or are you shocked that this Fantastic Insect managed to catch the eye of the Demiurge and beca a Heretic because the ’Supre One’ felt threatened by it?"
The Brocade Box was really thinking sothing like what Jacob had just stated, but when he heard the last part, it retorted without hesitation, "What do you an by ’threatened’? Do you even know what you’re talking about?"
"Then how will you explain all of this?" Jacob calmly questioned.
It may seem like he was arguing, but in truth, he was cunningly manipulating the conversation to get more information out of the Brocade Box.
This ti, the Brocade Box was speechless because, in truth, it didn’t even think about this possibility, or that thought didn’t even cross its mind.
But everything was strange, and the Artifact Spirit, like Jacob, thought it made no sense to send Whiteness after such a low-ranking Fantastic Insect unless it was above Whiteness’s rank; it might’ve made sense, but it no longer does.
The Artifact Spirit replied timidly, "I-I don’t know..."
’It really didn’t know?’ Jacob didn’t know whether the Artifact Spirit was telling the truth, but he had to live with it for now, and he decided to get to the point, "Alright, just tell your condition now!"
