Nell stood at the entrance of the laboratory, his posture straight, and his presence calm and immovable. Despite the sharp and sowhat rude tones directed at him, his expression did not change in the slightest, without any hint of irritation and anger.

If anything, the tension in his shoulders eased as the cold sharpness in his eyes softened, and when his gaze landed on the second woman, sothing even rarer surfaced in his gaze: warmth!

A faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he looked at her and spoke in a tone that carried both reprimand and unmistakable affection, "Little brat... is that how you speak with your dear dad?"

Although his voice was firm, his expression was gentle, and he scolded like any ordinary father, doting on his mischievous daughter.

A scene so natural yet so utterly impossible because within the entire Zodiac Night Federation, there was one fact everyone knew. The Night Guardian King Nell had no wife, lover, or family.

He had appeared from nowhere like a falling star, rising through the ranks with terrifying speed and unmatched brilliance, and because of his unnatural rise, countless had investigated his origins and speculated.

So believed he was the hidden bloodline of a powerful clan because of his connection with the Federation Master’s right-hand man. Others whispered he was the illegitimate heir of the sa figure, and so even dared to claim he wasn’t from the Legendary Plains at all.

But in the end, nothing was found with no roots or past, and when he beca a Legendary King, even whispers turned into silence because no one dared question him anymore.

Yet now, he was calling soone his daughter, and not just anyone, a woman of a completely different race.

However, unlike what one might expect, the woman in the white coat showed no surprise at all, not even a flicker, as if this revelation ant absolutely nothing to her.

Her icy gaze remained fixed on her interface as she spoke indifferently, her voice carrying that sa detached chill, "Can you two not start with your ’affection play’ from the very beginning?"

The mont those words fell, the second woman’s expression snapped like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

Her glowing eyes sharpened instantly as she turned toward the white-coated woman and snapped, "Mad woman, who asked for your opinion!?"

The air crackled faintly, but the woman in the coat didn’t even blink as her gaze shifted slightly, cold and unyielding as frost creeping across glass.

"Little girl," She replied with a faint mocking sneer, "Is that how you speak to your aunt? I suppose you’ve forgotten the lesson I taught you."

A subtle pause happened the mont those words left her lips, as that single word ’aunt’ was enough to trigger the second woman in ways that no one would expect.

The next mont, the second woman’s temper ignited instantly as her body rose from the seat in one swift motion, and arcs of lightning burst around her as the surrounding instrunts flickered violently.

"You dare count that as a win?!" She snapped coldly, her voice carrying restrained fury, "You used that trick! I dare you; co fight again!"

The atmosphere in the lab shifted, and the temperature dropped while magical energy spiked.

But the woman in the coat rely adjusted her sleeve, completely unfazed, "I don’t waste ti on aningless fights."

She was absolutely cold and dismissive, which only made things worse as the crackling of electricity intensified and the frost in the air deepened.

Two opposing forces began to rise, and just like that, they completely forgot Nell existed, who was standing there, watching the scene unfold, and the latter didn’t seem the slightest bit surprised.

Instead, a strange, nostalgic expression appeared on his face as his eyes softened while he watched them, and under his breath, he muttered with quiet satisfaction, "At least... they’re getting along better."

But after a mont of a very dangerous silence both won froze, and very slowly they turned as two pairs of eyes, one crackling with lightning, and one freezing with killing intent, locked onto Nell at the exact sa mont.

The hostility in their gazes was imdiate unified, almost lethal, as if they would join hands and erase him from existence right then and there.

Nell’s smile stiffened slightly because he knew if this escalated, even he would have a hard ti dealing with both of them together, despite being a Legendary King.

"Ahem..." So, without hesitation, he cleared his throat lightly and spoke in a calm, almost casual tone, his expression turning serious. "My cover has been blown!"

The mont Nell’s words fell, both won froze, not in anger or irritation, but in sothing far rarer—disbelief.

The next mont, their expressions changed almost instantly as they blurted out together, "Impossible!"

The response was sharp, imdiate, and instinctive because to them, those words made no sense at all as Nell’s identity being exposed alone was absurd.

But the next mont, they saw his face, that calm, composed man they knew, now carried a trace of sothing unusual; a faint frustration, and somber heaviness, and when he slowly nodded helplessly, the air in the laboratory turned cold.

Moreover, adding to the timing of his sudden return and the lack of prior signal, everything aligned too perfectly. They both knew that this wasn’t a joke.

More importantly, they both knew Nell better than anyone else as he would never joke about sothing like this. Because if it were true, then the consequences would be catastrophic for all of them.

The second woman’s fingers curled slightly, faint arcs of lightning flickering unconsciously around her as the usual arrogance in her eyes dimd ever so slightly. For the first ti after a very long ti, a trace of unease appeared.

As for the woman in the lab coat, her expression finally changed subtly. Her movents stopped as her gaze lifted from the interface, and the temperature around her dropped another degree.

When she spoke again, her voice was no longer indifferent but solemn, "What exactly happened?"

After a brief pause, her next words were quieter and heavier, "Did you encounter... ’him’?"

Absolute silence followed!
