After Constant Baron-0 finalized her deal with Jacob, she left his residence and headed towards another location in the Tiless Tower. It was Constant Baron-0’s private workshop, filled with all sorts of tools and even living specins enclosed in liquid pods.
Each floor of the Tiless Tower had such workshops. Constant Baron-0 moved towards the far end of the workshop, where there was nothing but a wall. But once she stood in front of it, she tapped her sharp finger on different spots of the wall, and as her finger tapped on those spots, runes appeared one after another.
After tapping for over fifty tis, a runic array appeared on the wall, before the wall’s color changed, and a black arc door appeared and slowly opened.
Constant Baron-0 entered without hesitation before she perford a hand sign, and the door suddenly started to close.
This secret room was spacious. It contained a small garden under a translucent do, a display of different weapons, a small pond filled with purple liquid, and a strange tree in the center.
This tree had no leaves and appeared wilted, but strange runes were on its erald body, and below it was a futon.
Without hesitation, Constant Baron-0 sat on the futon below the tree. The mont she sat in this position, the runes on the tree suddenly ca alive and surrounded Constant Baron-0 with an ethereal mist.
Once she was encased in this mist, Constant Baron-0 coldly stated, "Scan my body and see if there’s any kind of restriction or spell."
Strangely, no one else was within the mist, yet the mont she ordered, the mist churned and started to shift between different colors as it entered Constant Baron-0’s body.
Constant Baron-0 wasn’t surprised by this strange process; in fact, she seed very familiar with it and waited for it to be completed.
After an hour, the surrounding mist stopped churning before it started to fade away, revealing Constant Baron-0’s figure again, but nothing was out of the ordinary.
However, the runes on the tree seed to have faded a little, and at this mont, a tiny white leaf appeared on the tree branch and instantly fell.
Constant Baron-0 impassively caught the white leaf and scrutinized it, "White leaf? Which ans, there is no malicious spell or restriction placed on ? But why? Did ’they’ trust so much or ’they’ didn’t even consider the possibility that I would dare to cross them?"
She muttered before she shuddered instinctively as she vividly rembered today’s events. She might not want to believe it, but she knew her life had completely changed.
After taking a deep breath, a cold glint flashed past her eyes, and the next mont, the hourglass mark appeared on her forehead. She then placed her finger on the hourglass mark and pulled her fingers back!
The next mont, she pulled a small ethereal hourglass with a golden-bronze fra filled with starry black sand. It was the Baron Tiless Hourglass, and it was filled to the brim with refined Tiless Sand.
She grabbed a golden-bronze frad hourglass with both hands and muttered in an unknown language, "I request a tiless eting with Golden Constant-100,000!"
Thereupon, a static voice rang in Constant Baron-0’s head, "Golden Constant-100,000 has accepted the tiless eting with Constant Baron-0!"
The next mont, Constant Baron’s body was instantly enveloped in an ethereal black light before she vanished from her spot. Her eyes were filled with cruelty, as if she were about to et an enemy.
In the endless dark space, which the constants known as the ’Tiless Space’, Constant Baron-0 reappeared as a silhouette of golden-bronze light with a black number in an unknown language shimring over her forehead, which read ’0’.
In front of her was another silhouette, but it was golden with another black number on its forehead: 100,000!
The mont Golden Constant-100,000 appeared, its static voice rang, "Since ’Overlord’ requested this eting, should I presu that it’s good news and the ’target’ is located?"
In Tiless Space, no one can see or guess each other’s intentions. This peculiar function sotis cos in handy, like Constant Baron-0 might’ve shown killing intent if this eting had happened in the real world, but here, she only exists in her ’constant form’, which gives the constants privacy and protection.
Constant Baron-0 had already decided how to handle Golden Constant-100,000 and the people in his cohort. After all, Golden Constant-100,000 was precisely the one who had steered her into Jacob’s direction by taking advantage of her desperation, and she knew it was probably planned by the Constant Viscount behind him.
If the ’Lord’ hadn’t shown her rcy and acknowledged her worth, she would’ve been dead without even being able to revive again, which made her extrely hostile to Golden Constant-100,000 and those with him.
Furthermore, Jacob had already shown his ’interest’ in Golden Constant-100,000, and after her interaction with him, she knew he wouldn’t spare them, even though the Lord’s ’follower’, Dreamy Ancient, had hinted at that.
Now, all she needed to do was set up the stage and make sure to catch these guys and let Jacob ’handle’ them. She suddenly started to feel that her future was extrely bright with the Lord’s grace. Since ’they’ trusted her and didn’t play any tricks, she was even more willing to show her own worth and never give them reason to do so.
With such thoughts in mind, Constant Baron-0’s static voice rang, "Indeed, Dreamy Ancient is connected to the Faceless Ancient. But she’s tight-lipped, and it’ll take so ti to extract the information."
Golden Constant-100,000 beca silent before he said, "Anyone connected to that ’monstrosity’ is indeed not simple. Nonetheless, Overlord had already done the groundwork, and I can assure that the ’Viscount’ would be very pleased to hear it, and all the promised rewards will be delivered once you hand over the Spirit Ripper Formation with the Dreamy Ancient soul trapped in it."
"Heh, why? You guys don’t trust ? Or do you think you’re better than I?" Constant Baron-0 coldly questioned.
"Haha, please don’t jest, Overlord. I wouldn’t even dare to belittle you, nor the Viscount, who has such an opinion. But please understand that giving you the Spirit Ripper Formation ca at a very high cost, and it’s a borrowed tool from Viscount’s close friend.
"If it weren’t, the Viscount wouldn’t hesitate to gift you for your services, but sadly, the Viscount can’t. Furthermore, the true ’owner’ of the Soul Ripper Formation can hasten the process of extracting information because of their familiarity with it.
"That’s why, it’ll be much easier and Overlord won’t have to waste your precious ti on such a trivial thing." Golden Constant-100,000 spoke, and he seed to be very polite and elegant towards Constant Baron-0 as if afraid of offending her.
Constant Baron-0 knew Golden Constant-100,000 was speaking the truth, or even if he wasn’t, the Spirit Ripper Formation really wasn’t hers to keep. But it was also true that the Spirit Ripper Formation wasn’t in her possession anymore.
Nonetheless, she wasn’t worried and replied, "Alright, I’ll leave it in the sa spot where you left it for in a few days."
"That’ll be very kind of you. Please look forward to your rewards, Overlord. Now, if you’ll excuse , I have to tell the Viscount the good news."
Constant Baron-0 wanted to sneer, but she remained impassive and replied, "Then don’t let hold you here, after all, we can’t let the Viscount wait. Constant eting concluded!"
