"Send her ho!" Pete succinctly said, spitting out six words. Although his words were simple, Pete understood that by "ho," he didn’t an Ye Anxin’s own ho, but the ho of Mu Beiting’s villa situated halfway up the mountain!
The president had never let a woman live in that house before. Ye Anxin was the first. Could this an the president saw her differently from other won?
This thought just briefly flashed through Pete’s mind. He had always been an efficient subordinate. As soon as Mu Beiting gave an order, he gestured for Ye Anxin to go ahead.
Ye Anxin squatted beside Mu Beiting, holding his arm with a smiling expression, and said, "Uncle, when do you get off work? Why don’t I stay by your side and keep you company?"
"Ma’am, the president has a business eting tonight!" Pete had just finished speaking when Mu Beiting’s icy and sharp gaze coldly swept toward him.
"I’m sorry!" Pete realized he had misspoken and quickly lowered his head in embarrassnt.
"A business eting, huh? How long will that take? When will you be back? How about I make you a late-night snack?" Ye Anxin looked at Mu Beiting with a smile full of flattery.
She was trying hard for revenge! She had completely abandoned a woman’s sense of sha! Once upon a ti, did she ever need to please a man like this?
When she had dated Mu Rufeng, it was Rufeng who had pursued her first—it took a whole year before she agreed! She had given all her youthful, innocent two years to Mu Rufeng.
But today, she didn’t expect that she would need to charm a man to deal with him.
This ti, Pete kept his head down, not daring to speak without Mu Beiting’s command.
Mu Beiting looked down at her face that was as radiant as a flower, yet his gaze remained so cold, devoid of any warmth.
Being looked at by him, Ye Anxin suddenly felt a chill breeze, a coldness surging from her feet to her heart.
Despite being scared to death of him, Ye Anxin had to ignore it, forcing herself to smile with her lips, "Co on, we’re a couple. As a wife, it’s natural to care about her husband!"
Mu Beiting withdrew his gaze from her, calling out, "Pete...!"
Pete shivered suddenly and quickly said, "Ma’am, please leave with !"
"Alright then!" Ye Anxin pouted her red lips, reluctantly stood up, and slowly walked to the door where Pete was, turning back every few steps!
"Co on, ma’am!" Pete stepped aside, making way for Ye Anxin.
"Don’t stay out too late, okay, and drink less; it’s not good for your health!" Ye Anxin stood at the door, turned her head, and looked at Mu Beiting with tear-filled eyes, like a little puppy abandoned by its owner, filled with grievance.
Watching her, Mu Beiting’s thin lips pressed into a line, his eyes reflecting so emotion, yet ultimately they settled back into serenity.
"Uncle, I’m leaving! Bye-bye!" Seeing that she had talked until her mouth was dry and he had only said a single sentence from start to finish, Ye Anxin felt a bit discouraged. After he waved her away, she finally hugged her lunchbox and left with Pete.
When the office door closed, Mu Beiting continued to look down at the files on his desk as if Ye Anxin had never been there.
Outside the door, Ye Anxin, carrying the bento box, walked behind Pete. When passing by Judy’s office, Judy reluctantly nodded at her, as if to say hello.
