Feeling puzzled by his glare, Ye Anxin touched her own face and asked in confusion, "Uncle, what’s wrong? Did I do sothing to upset you?"
She rembered they had been fine last night, so why did he suddenly change his attitude today? She couldn’t figure out what she had done to provoke him!
Mu Beiting still had a stern expression as he shot her a cold glance, skipping his al altogether, and stood up to head directly back to the bedroom!
Ye Anxin held chopsticks in her hand, with food in her mouth, and watched Mu Beiting move to the bedroom, only swallowing her food after his figure disappeared at the bedroom door. Then, she stood up and followed him into the room.
Mu Beiting, back in the room, sat on the bed with an expressionless face, clearly in a bad mood.
Ye Anxin walked over, sat beside him, wrapped her arms around his, and leaned her head on his shoulder, speaking softly, "Uncle, what’s the matter? Why are you upset all of a sudden? Weren’t we fine yesterday?"
Hearing her words, Mu Beiting’s expression grew even more sullen, and he turned his head away from her.
Ye Anxin continued to coax him patiently, "Uncle, co on, let’s go out to eat, shall we? We’ve had a long night, and you must be hungry! After eating, we still have to go to the Nan Family!"
Unfortunately, Mu Beiting remained unmoved, his face still stern as he refused to look at her.
Ye Anxin’s eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief, and she seed to rember sothing, kneeling on the bed, she moved her mouth close to Mu Beiting’s ear and softly called, "Hubby...!"
As expected, when she called him that, Mu Beiting’s gloomy expression vanished instantly, and the corners of his tightly pressed lips slowly curled into a beautiful arc!
Just from his expression, Ye Anxin knew she had guessed correctly!
Uncle was sulking because of what she had called him earlier!
In the end, it was just a childish tantrum, where he didn’t like to say anything, only knew how to protest by being angry!
Ye Anxin smiled and appeased him, saying, "Hubby, let’s go out to eat, okay? I’m hungry! The baby in my belly is hungry too!"
"Okay!" Mu Beiting nodded, stood up, and lifted Ye Anxin off the bed in a princess carry, striding over to the dining table where he gently placed her on a chair.
After changing the way she addressed him, Ye Anxin could clearly feel the change in Mu Beiting!
Not only was his expression softer, but even his appetite at the al seed to have improved significantly.
"Big...!" Ye Anxin started, but catching Mu Beiting’s sharp gaze, she imdiately gave a sheepish smile and corrected, "Hubby, does my mom have sothing to eat?"
Without lifting his head, Mu Beiting replied lightly, "Ordered two lunches!"
"Oh!" Hearing that Mu Beiting had also ordered a lunch for her mother, Ye Anxin breathed a sigh of relief, buried her head in her al, and after eating halfway through, suddenly seed to rember sothing, and hastily asked, "Uncle, where is Yueyue? You got out, so Yueyue must be safe too, right?"
Mu Beiting nodded, maintaining his usual composure, "She’s fine now!"
Hearing this, Ye Anxin imdiately breathed a sigh of relief, "That’s good, that’s great! I was so afraid she might get implicated because of and be hard by Mother Nan!"
"Eat!" Mu Beiting motioned with a glance at the food in Ye Anxin’s hand!
Ye Anxin nodded and lowered her head to start gobbling down her food!
After they finished lunch, Ye Anxin went to the window to collect the clothes!
Fortunately, although it’s already entering autumn, the dayti still has the sun, is very hot, and the weather is dry! The clothes left outside to dry were completely dry after overnight and the morning sun!
Ye Anxin brought the clothes inside and carefully checked them over!
It must be said, Mu Beiting really washed the clothes very cleanly, making a white T-shirt look as if it was brand new!
After these few days of running around, the white clothes had turned gray long ago! Yet Uncle could bring them back to life, proving he really was quite capable!

Hearing Ye Anxin say she was going to the Nan Family, her mother imdiately responded without thinking, "I’m coming, I’m coming! I want to go with you!"
She was afraid, afraid that her precious daughter, once at the Nan Family, would be snatched away by them! Anxin is her everything, and she can’t let anyone take Anxin away from her!
"Alright, let’s go then!" Seeing her mother so agitated, Ye Anxin knew very well what her mother was worried about, and to ease her mother’s concern, Ye Anxin readily agreed, holding her mother’s hand, and brought her back to her room!
Back in the room, Ye Anxin looked at Mu Beiting standing by the window and said, "Uncle, can we leave now?"
Hearing that form of address, Mu Beiting frowned, but after seeing Ye Anxin’s mother standing beside her, his expression softened a bit, and he nodded lightly, walked over to her, took her other hand, and they all left the room together, taking the elevator straight down to the hotel’s underground parking lot.
The driver and car had long been waiting there, and upon reaching the parking lot, the three of them got into the car and headed to the Nan Family!
Sitting in the car, Ye Anxin could clearly feel her mother beside her being very tense, twisting the hem of her clothes with her hands and her lips trembling slightly.
Ye Anxin sighed inwardly and reached out to hold her mother’s hand!
Feeling the coldness of her mother’s hand, Ye Anxin quickly asked with concern, "Mom, why are your hands so cold? Are you feeling unwell?"
Her mother shook her head hastily, "It’s nothing, it’s nothing! I’m just a little nervous!"
"Mom, don’t be afraid, or nervous, everything will be alright!" Ye Anxin could clearly understand her mother’s feelings at that mont!
It had been twenty-six years, her mother had hidden for twenty-six years, avoided for twenty-six years, and now she didn’t want to reunite with anyone from the Nan Family!
But fate is unavoidable, and what must co, will co! It must be faced eventually!
People can’t hide away forever, what must be confronted must be confronted!
If her mother never bravely took this step forward, she’d never be able to erge from this shadow in her heart!
She didn’t want her mother to always be hiding in darkness, living a life she couldn’t embrace openly!
"I know, I understand! I’ll adjust my ntality!" Her mother nodded, comforting Ye Anxin, and anwhile continuously comforting herself, cheering herself up.
Ye Anxin gently patted her mother’s hand, reassuringly saying, "Yes! Don’t worry, I’ve got everything! Besides, Uncle is here! Uncle won’t let us get hurt!"
