tal creaked and groaned as the world shook constantly. Inside a small, cramped space, an armored figure sat down on a piece of debris, leaning slightly with his arms on his knees. At his feet was a bag, black in color, with only one strap that had been cut. Its cubic shape indicates its contents are solid.

Staring down at it, Dante heaved a sigh then reached out, touching it with his right hand and watching as the neon green lines spread over its surface.

’Can’t believe it just dropped.’ He thought, barely suppressing a smile.

[It is quite the peculiar coincidence.] Volcan said. [I believe this is what humans call luck.]

’Still don’t know how it works.’

Half his attention was on the 3D model created using Type 8-3’s Awareness, magnified to a point where it overlapped with the world around him. This allowed him to see the position of all enemies as well as their movents, all represented by detailed models painted completely red.

After receiving Volcan’s evaluation, Dante opened a portal into a small space inside one of the collapsed buildings. He then used Spatial Lock to fix everything in place, preventing it from collapsing on him. From there, he made careful moves, bidding his ti while waiting for Volcan to finish his Dive.

In an unexpected turn of events, the white hunters turned out to be androids. Humanoid robots weren’t too rare nowadays, but ones with fighting power were hard to co by, and ones on the higher end of Level 3 were nonexistent as far as the public was concerned.

Though they seed like the more efficient option, to this day, their use still fell behind cyborgs. Enhancing humans with bionics was far cheaper than building an entire robot from scratch, and there was always fresh at to throw in the grinder.

Android had another weakness. With them being nothing but machines, the right Diver could break through their defenses and take over, turning them against their owners. A cyborg might get their brains and bionics fried, but they wouldn’t suddenly turn on their comrades or suddenly stop working because a powerful Diver found a way inside them.

[Dante, I have disabled the first one.]

There was no need for Volcan to report on his progress, since he had added a progression bar on the side of Dante’s vision for each of the androids. At the sa ti, one of the red figures fighting outside collapsed to the ground, sitting motionless.

Looking at it, Dante thought for a mont ’Try deactivating them in the sa spot. We don’t want to waste too much energy transporting them.’

There were fifteen androids in total. If he tried to open a gate for each one, he would burn through 8-3’s energy before getting half of them.

[Understood.]

High-end androids could fetch a hefty sum, and going by Volcan’s evaluation, the white hunters were made from so impressive materials, making them the perfect source for upgrade materials. Dante had better plans for the bots, however.

’Too bad we couldn’t get the other one.’ He thought.

One of the black cloaks turned out to be an android as well, and a far more advanced one at that. Not only did it have a perfect human appearance, made to look like a normal girl, it also had far more powerful specks stuffed into a fra half the size of the white hunters. Its threat evaluation sat at the higher end of Level 3, but apparently, it could cross the barrier to Level 4 with a little push.

Dante would have loved to get his hands on it. Unfortunately, its owner managed to shut down all signal receptors, forcefully ejecting Volcan before he could take over its AI.

Scanning and storing the cubic bag took longer than anticipated. By the ti it disappeared into his Storage, Dante began to wish he had taken a look inside. Volcan had explained what the bag contained and why they had to get it, and because of that, Dante was filled with anticipation. He chose to quell for the ti being, focusing on the battle outside.

With each of the white hunters that fell, the pressure on the black cloaks dropped significantly. The android seed to be the vanguard fighter, acting as a guard to protect its companion, or master, to be more accurate.

The second black cloak was a little bizarre. Volcan evaluated her as a Level 0 Interdiate Cyborg, which ant most of her physical abilities ca from the power suit she wore. In addition to a rather advanced Mind Link Port, she also had high-grade optics no different from the human eye, but the strangest implant she had was the one covering most of her body.

At first, Dante thought it was just artificial skin, but Volcan shut down that theory, explaining that it was a lot more complicated than that. It took him a mont, but he soon realized it might be sothing similar to the Chaleon, an implant that had always been a myth than reality. According to the legends, the implant allows its owner to change their face on command, becoming an entirely different person without having to undergo costic surgeries all the ti.

Even in this day and age, the only places such implants appear are in movies and shows. Because of that, Dante struggled to imagine that soone would have a full-body version of it, with additional parts likely ant to change height and body type.

What’s more surprising is that she remained an Interdiate Cyborg despite having sothing like that on. It just didn’t make sense for soone willing to rip off their skin and replace it to not have other implants on.

[Dante, seven out of the fifteen androids have been subjugated.] Volcan said. [I suggest transporting them here, since the limited space will not be enough to fit more.]

’Got it...’

Turning to the left, Dante looked at a small red pile of bodies a short distance away. A green circle appeared under it following his command. After adjusting its size, Dante turned to the ceiling of the collapsed room and checked the green circle that had appeared on this side, making sure its borders were within the intended space.

With the preparations complete, he activated Rift Creation. A black dot appeared at the center of the circle, then instantly expanded, filling it entirely. The next mont, a heavy pile of alloy fell inside, shaking the ruined building and startling Dante.

He had failed to account for the weight of the androids and what would happen if a bunch were suddenly dropped. The impact was quite loud, prompting him to turn his sights to the battle, checking if anyone had noticed. That turned out to be another mistake, however. Taking his eyes off the androids before checking them, he failed to notice that one of the objects that fell through the portal wasn’t white, nor was it motionless. As its eyes locked in on him, the blue glimr of an energy blade illuminated the space inside the rubble.
