--- Kat ---

Kat wasn’t surprised when the nightly watch had been changed. Instead of looking over the recharge station, sothing that just wasn’t relevant enough anymore, they were charged with being the final line of defence for the warehouse workers. Guards were pulled from across the city to act as a basic cordon. They were ant to wave away civilians... and hold the line for a few monts while reinforcents rushed over. Just about every guard was theoretically ready to co over as needed.

It was hopefully not needed, and so of them were of questionable readiness but with Jen still asleep, and the warehouse needing to be renovated this was the best compromise they could manage. The workers consisted of mostly earth mages, with two enchanters and a small contingent of four seemingly unique and powerful guards to watch from the inside.

If the regular guards were responsible for civilians and bunkering down, these four were ant to be the juggernauts that disrupted the enemy lines. If soone attacked the warehouse, they were to take them out with minimal care for the enemies’ status. Speed was the na of the ga. Though Kat was feeling pretty ’h’ about the whole thing because a bunch of the guards were actually just Thy. Not all over them, notably, and none of the construction crew... but that was fine.

The juggernauts were also ant to co out and bully the enemy if they simply used wave tactics or ’fodder’ against them during the night. They were to rush in and bombard the enemy lines. Though two were still ant to remain back in case they attacked the warehouse itself... where Kat and Lily were situated.

Hedera was off a few buildings away, hidden as best she was able under so tarps to break up her silhouette. She wasn’t to attack at all in an ideal situation. Her job was to watch and make note of anyone trying to sneak inside without notice. If they managed to get inside the warehouses, Hedera was ant to alert soone of that fact while trying to remain hidden.

Kat was the last line of the defence in truth. She was situated in the air above the building crew. Kat was spread out as a fine mist of water. She’d been convinced that simply leaving the water droplets everywhere was fine. It gave her an odd view of things. It was almost... grainy in texture. Like everything she could see was being viewed by an old, improperly tuned television. It wasn’t that she could miss things, especially not the size of a person but the details were missing, facial features and the exact patterning on clothes.

Which was where Lily ca in. Her natural coat, small size and ability to manipulate shadows ant she could hide just about anywhere. Lily was Kat’s ’detail eyes’ and also backup. The pair were ant to just exist in the sa room as the guards. If they were truly needed as reinforcents, they could go... but that was only after all four of the juggernauts were sent out.

The juggernaut knights each had exceptionally fancy looking armour that seed individually crafted for them... but Kat had been inford that wasn’t the case. Instead, they were four exceptionally powerful sets of armour that raised the wearer by about a Rank and a half, up to high Rank 2 if possible. The guards wearing them were the most trusted and compatible with each.

Apparently each individual armour would rotate through a small group. Either a pair or a trio in most cases without much care to distinguish between them. The idea, was that when wearing the armour the person in question assud the armour’s role and title. The fact the armour had an enchanted voice box helped sell that illusion sowhat... and the fact it fit the wearer perfectly tended to ruin it. Often tis the size or body shape differences would be quite extre between the knights.

The easiest example in this case, was that the largest knight towered over everyone else in the group at seven foot five. They were a monster of a man... and married to the second wielder of the ’Titan’ armour. It had black pauldrons with glowing red between them. It was about projecting strength, standing strong in place... and a few fire powers. His wife on the other hand, was tiny. She was just barely five foot tall with considerable boobs for her size. It was very easy to tell who was wearing the armour.

As opposed to the armour of the storm. It was made entirely from cloth and seed to be constantly moving. Apparently three people shared that armour but they all had the sa build. Even the woman of the trio. Kat didn’t get a clear answer of if they were married or not from the group, nor which order they’d be wearing the armour in. Which was a second issue with the armour.

It drained the user’s magic constantly when wearing it. Not much, and if you were actively using it for combat the armour was actually MORE efficient not less... but just standing around did still cause a drain on their reserves. Usually not enough to empty them... but enough to strain the wearer. As such there would be two separate shifts for most of the armour sets, with the trio from the Storm armour doing both the first and last shift, working in thirds instead to allow for a proper staggering of armour changes.

The third and fourth set of armour were also worn by to duos. They had less extre visual differences then the Titan armour’s pair, but unlike the Storm armour you could tell who was wearing them if you were in the know. The Third armour, the Treant armour provided the ability to heal and generate large amounts of greenery and the wearers were both won who... weren’t all that fond of each other, but could get along sowhat. The main differences between the two of them was a moderate height difference. Despite this, they would regularly argue over who had larger boobs.

Kat was 90% sure the answer was ’they’re the sa size’ and when Lily was prompted to comnt on the matter... well she was a bit too distracted by the boobs to work out her own answer. Hedera however, agreed with Kat’s read on things and had no idea why the pair were complaining. Especially when both were fairly well endowed. More so then either Kat or Hedera... not the Titan users though. Yes, both, the guy had pecs for days.

The final set of armour was the Shadowmancer armour. You’d think this ant they could control shadows. It was a dark and eery looking armour that was mostly black with a few purple highlights. It was used by a set of non-identical twins. The main difference in this case was that one of them was a woman, and her body shape was distinctly different... but the Shadowmancer armour hid a lot of those details.

The armour set didn’t give any proper control over shadows but it had so shadow adjacent abilities. Shadows would cling to it making it harder to see, and the user could summon shadow creatures to attack. The armour helped the users deal with the various additional inputs summoning such creatures created. Apparently it was like being both the creature and a person at the sa ti so it wasn’t good for swarm tactics but the Shadowmancer armour was a squad all on its own and would, probably, be the first to go out and defend if there wasn’t a large number of injuries to treat.

Kat hadn’t really had ti to TALK to those guards. It was more a briefing from Steel, alongside Hedera and Lily, that went over who they were, what they looked like in armour and a tiny bit of what they looked like outside of it. There was neither the ti to go over, nor the desire to give her the specifics of what were essentially the cities best weapons. Kat had however, asked how they compared to Steel himself and the answer was ’it’s complicated’.

The big issue with the armour was that it did the heavy lifting. It was strong, unbelievably so... but if you knew exactly what it did, wasn’t necessarily all that flexible. Apparently there were tricks used to make them more flexible then most enchanted items allowing for the illusion that the armours weren’t the source of power... but at the end of the day they were. Steel had a leg up, not just in that his power was his own but due to his knowledge of the armours.

He was one of the people that needed the knowledge... and would be responsible for taking them down should they be co-opted. It was unlikely, for reasons Steel hadn’t deed necessary to explain, but it did an that practically it was impossible for Steel to lose against any one of them. It made Kat wonder how she stacked up. It would be interesting but... she had no reason to fight them. They were on her side, and she’d probably need the help if a mob showed up.
