--- Green ---

Green was almost certain she was going to develop a fear of buildings. Or at least, a fear of space expansion charms. See, if she had thought the office of madness that she’d left behind was bad? Well, current Green had a bridge to sell to her past self. It turned out the palace was wrecked internally in a way far, far scarier than so random decor choices. Green wasn’t even sure HOW this had all happened.

The palace seed to have shattered internally along a spatial axis. All of the rooms were now floating in a scary looking void of shifting colours that tended to be mostly blue. Was that because the palace had windows and thus, was connected to the sky? Was it because the space between space was mostly blue here? Could her eyes just not perceive what it looked like in truth and the blue was her brains way of dealing with it? Green really hoped it wasn’t that last one.

See, even entering the place had nearly got her killed. The entrance hall had still been attached to the normal space of the castle courtyard... but apparently it was only just barely hanging on. When Green had stepped about halfway into the room, the whole place had shaken like a magnitude 4 earthquake. Green had hunkered down in one of the fancy alcoves to avoid any of the chandeliers shattering on her head.

That had been a mistake. It wasn’t the city shaking like she’d thought it had been JUST THE ROOM. The door had broken off and remained in place while the rest of the entry hall had been flung into a see of blue. Debris from the other rooms hung about and after so ti, full rooms had started to appear in the distance.

Green had continued to multiply her mistake when she noticed one of them was the kitchen, or more specifically, a storage room that was once attached to the kitchen. It looked fresh, and stocking up on food seed like a good idea. Plus the rooms were passing close by each other so it wasn’t a risky jump at all. The thing Green hadn’t been thinking about at the ti was the fact that the rooms were still moving. By the ti she’d landed in the storage room, the entry hall had already flown off into the distance.

That had been days ago now, and Green had found herself well and truly lost. For the first day, she’d been content with the storage room. There was plenty of food, and her excursion over towards the palace had been... a bit of a andering one. She’d stopped to pick up a number of orbs along the way to stock up after her supplies had been drained so thoroughly by the admin building.

Even still, just because she’d had so buffer room didn’t an that she was out of the woods yet. A day of no progress towards getting out or finding orbs ant she had to move on. Well, the ’finding orbs’ part was a bit of a lie. Plenty of other rooms had zood past her at one point or another. So close enough to jump to others requiring the items she’d picked up to help her get across. None she’d taken on the first day.

Though a room full of chandeliers had tempted her. Especially when she realised that the ’glass lights’ on them were in fact orbs she could use to recharge her bracelet. Green was sowhat pissed off she’d ignored the chandelier storage room. It was only later when one had floated into the storage room early on her second day inside that she’d realised what they were.

The second day here didn’t involve moving around all that much. Even if Green was ready to look for an exit... she had no idea what rules this place obeyed. Instead, she would occasionally change rooms to one that seed more appealing, or use Timmy to get orbs. Sort of. Green was a bit surprised it was allowed but apparently it wasn’t quite the sa. What she would do, was go over to one of the moving rooms with orbs inside, and then have Timmy pull her back to whatever room she’d made her base.

The original plan had been to throw Timmy over, but while Timmy pulling her back was considered ’not helping with the orb challenge’ having Timmy grab the orbs and then be pulled back was firmly in the ’not allowed’ category apparently. It could get a bit weird if there were orbs laying around in the room she was choosing as her base. In one instance, a half wrecked bedroom that was missing the bed had been her base.

The lamps were of course orbs, and when Timmy had been told to pull her out, the little guy had frozen and stuttered like it didn’t know what to with itself. Eventually, she did get pulled back but that was only after the rope had nearly pulled Timmy along with it. Perhaps the space around them was more of a risk then it seed? Or perhaps even Timmy could potentially be lost there forever.

Regardless, it didn’t matter because they didn’t stay there long. Sure a couch was sothing but her current setup had a MATRESS. Not a bedfra sadly. Just a mattress. Green wasn’t sure if a mattress had ended up in part of the library or if it was simply the corner of a bedroom that had a bunch of bookshelves set into the walls. Didn’t have all that many books in it anymore either and the whole space was sowhat small. It really was just that one corner...

But the mattress was exceptionally comfy. Very nice to relax on and sothing Green appreciated quite a bit. She had no desire to give up her little slice of paradise. The only worry now was the occasional bit of masonry that threatened to hit her. Timmy luckily took care of that. It was also sowhat lucky the first one to nearly take off her head had flown over while she was awake.

"Blegh, but the real issue is this odd blue is disrupting my sleep! Sure I can sleep anywhere but how the heck am I ant to know how much ti has passed? The admin building was one thing, but it had closets and blinds to shut. There were ways to avoid it but this whole place is just constantly fucking blue!" hissed Green.

And it really was a problem. None of the rooms she’d stumbled into had been intact, and even if they were, most had a window of so kind that continually let in the surrounding blue light. It didn’t fluctuate regularly. The colours shifted at random tis, but never in intensity. Looking outside was like watching one of those sand picture fras. Blobs of colour rubbed up against each other, swirling along.

Then BAM suddenly everything was red for five minutes before going back to blue. It wasn’t that Green had anything against blue, and really, she felt she should be more than capable of sleeping in such a place without any issue at all... but apparently that wasn’t the case. She found that sothing here was keeping her awake. Just on the edge of properly sleep for minutes at a ti. WHOLE MINUTES.

Worse, after about an hour of continual rest, a sudden jarring colour change would wake her up. Which was ridiculous. Green had slept through plenty of people turning the lights on and off before. Why was it so different now? Especially when other colour changes probably happened while she was sleeping. So finding the issue was goal number two. Right below goal number one of finding a way out of this place. Sure it was profitable, but unlike before Green found she had NO IDEA how to escape.

"Seriously, where would I even go? Assuming I could get back to the entrance hall, which is a fairly big assumption already, would that even let out of the palace? It’s not like it was connected long after I entered. Sure it might circle back around to the front door... but does this place even circle? Stuff is flying around but I’m not sure anything here really has an ’orbit’ or if it’s just flying around in a vague area."

Green pondered on that for a while. She hadn’t seen anything ’co around again’ so far. Though with the ever shifting yet constant background it was hard to tell what direction she was moving in. So rooms would seem to circle past while others travelled in mostly straight lines. There was also the fact that, logically, even if the expanded space was broken it had to have an end.

"The issue with that line of thinking is ’end’ might just be ’wall’ instead of ’exit’ which wouldn’t help much in this case," acknowledged Green with a sigh. Apparently she was stuck in a second hellscape or tornt. The only difference was that this one seed to have far fewer rewards... which was weird. *So am I unlucky or did I get here after soone else? Should I be on the lookout for footprints?*
