Now reading: Chapter 11 11: "Heh Heh", Mr. Wayne from DC: I Reported Bruce Wayne… Then He Adopted Me, a Action novel by Rexlent47.

Theodore felt every one of his brain cells screaming on the verge of collapse.

Help, no!

Bruce Wayne, he seed to be trying to flirt with him!

In Theodore's mory, when Stanley W. nar was in the mood, he usually acted directly.

Even if there was a conversation, it was mostly Manor's personal monologue.

But Bruce Wayne's interaction... how to put it.

This was a very new type of perversion, Theodore had never encountered it before!

So, he could only weakly twitch the corner of his lips, uttering the most genuine reaction: "Heh heh, Bruce, heh heh."

"Heh heh heh heh heh heh..."

Just as Theodore's pupils were shaking and his inner worldview was forced to reorganize, Bruce was also silently evaluating the boy in front of him.

Language and rhetoric can be embellished, but the most authentic physical reactions do not lie.

Theodore Green, from the first mont he t him, displayed a strong sense of vigilance.

Was it fear? Batman thought of the anonymous tip-off letter.

No, it wasn't fear, or rather—it was more than that.

If it were rely fear of power, or panic at violent acts, Theodore's reaction wouldn't be so complex.

Whether it was the direction of his toes, the tense upper arm muscles under his shirt, or the subtly hostile gaze, it all showed that Theodore actually wanted to... more than just dodge.

Using the excuse of having the other person change their address, Batman suddenly shortened the distance between them.

Sure enough, after he seemingly inadvertently entered the other party's attack range, the boy's forearm snapped up, only to be suppressed again by reason.

That's right, an extrely strong desire to attack.

This boy was desperately trying to conceal his impulse to attack him.

Where did this violent desire co from?

Stereotypical prejudice against a specific group? A one-sided dislike for Bruce Wayne? Or was it indiscriminate, directed at everyone?

Batman believed this was worth exploring.

He, was, observing, .

Theodore realized with chilling dread that Bruce Wayne, that man, was dissecting him with his gaze.

Perhaps due to his innate talent, or a special skill honed by life. Since Theodore could rember, he was particularly sensitive to others' evaluations.

Even if Wayne smiled sweetly and harmlessly, hiding his scrutinizing gaze behind the perfect mask of Gotham Baby.

But Theodore was certain that the other party was scrutinizing him.

It was as if Theodore was no longer a boy at this mont; he was objectified into a mystery, a long string of words, which could be categorized and filled into a form, and then, depending on the specific components, various plans for dealing with him could be excitedly listed: Plan A, Plan B, Plan C...

However, what was there about Theodore that Wayne CEO would care about?

Just an ordinary orphan, a student at Gotham High School, with no background, no family history, no money, and not even enough social connections.

Only in one situation would these disadvantages turn into advantages in certain people's eyes.

—When hunters seek prey.

No background ant easy manipulation, no money ant no one to turn to for help.

And a lack of social connections ant that even if he died in a basent sowhere, bruised and battered, his family and friends would never find out.

This won't do. Theodore thought clearly.

If this continued, he would be targeted.

It was also at this mont that Theodore suddenly understood: why Wayne ca to the orphanage at this sensitive ti.

The anonymous letter he sent should not have been discovered.

And his original intention to rescue Timothy had most likely been realized to so extent.

But precisely because the claw reaching for Timothy was suppressed by an external force, the other party's energy had nowhere to vent.

On the front page of the newspaper, Gotham Baby changed new female companions every day.

Theodore was very clear that simple interactions with those female companions would absolutely not satisfy a palate spoiled by three beautiful little boys.

That's why he ca to the orphanage, to choose his next trophy.

That magnificent mansion was impatiently waiting to devour its next new prey.

Theodore's hands and feet were cold, and a faint nausea churned in his stomach.

But his mind had never been as clear as it was now.

I must do sothing.

I have to dispel Wayne's idea, let him know that I'm not the type he collects.

It's too late to shave my head and buy colored contact lenses now.

Then I'll just have to work on my personality.

Based on Timothy's daily behavior, Wayne's aesthetic preference should be for sensible, obedient, and well-behaved children.

Theodore secretly clenched his fist.

Then he would do the opposite—

Under Bruce Wayne's seemingly unintentional gaze, the boy in front of him suddenly revealed an extrely sharp, dangerous, and wild smile.

"Get lost, Jason, don't try to steal my share."

Through Wayne's figure, Theodore clearly announced to the boy behind him: "Look at with that gaze again, and tonight, you'll have seven holes pierced through you with nails."
