Now reading: Chapter 48 48 He ran across the rooftops from DC: I Reported Bruce Wayne… Then He Adopted Me, a Action novel by Rexlent47.

However, Theodore didn't get to finish his sentence. The muscular Red Hood, with a movent that defied his size, fiercely leaped across the alley's airspace.

He ran across the rooftops, heading towards a distant place Theodore couldn't catch up to. "No matter what kind of scumbag adoptive father you have at ho, it's best to go ho at night."

Through the shadowy buildings of Gotham, Red Hood's voice faintly ca, this ti a kind warning. "You know this is Cri Alley, right?"

Red Hood left, and Theodore didn't get to ask him if he offered ferry services.

But, he gave Theodore a gun!

Theodore bounced the hot weapon in his hand, still incredulous as he looked at the rooftop where Red Hood had just stood.

What a wonderful night where wishes co true, soone even gave him a gun! So Gotham really does offer a late-night buffet!

Theodore turned around in high spirits, slowly stepping on the green-haired man's calf, who was trying to escape and wriggling out of the alley. "Look, soone just gave a gun."

The boy's clear blue eyes sparkled with brilliant excitent. He bent down to the green-haired thug, and friendly patted the other's cheek with the gun muzzle.

Because of this little interlude, Theodore was in a good mood and was actually ready to let the green-haired thug go. However, before letting him go, Theodore decided to give him a scare.

He wanted to make sure this green-haired man rembered not to try selling anyone to Black Mask next ti; if he wanted to sell, he should sell himself.

The cold muzzle moved upwards, finally resting against the green-haired thug's forehead. Amidst the clattering of the other's teeth, Theodore slowly smiled brightly at him.

"He said it's a tranquilizer dart, it won't kill anyone, but I still want to try it." Theodore very calmly asked the green-haired man's opinion: "Do you want to try it?"

The green-haired man shook his head frantically, creating a blur like an electric fan. "NOOOOOOO!"

"Alright, it seems we have a bit of a disagreent. In that case, how about we let fate decide?"

Reaching into his pocket, Theodore pulled out a coin and dangled it in front of the other's eyes. With a flick of his finger, the shiny coin spun upwards into the air, gleaming brightly in the moonlight.

"Let's flip a coin. If it's heads, I'll let you go—Lady Liberty favors you."

The thug's breathing beca increasingly rapid.

He watched with wide eyes as the blue-eyed youth, whose handso face resembled the young Apollo, smiled, revealing stark white teeth, as if he had just erged from the underworld.

The coin flipped again, clinking against the youth's fingernail, and finally, like dust settling, he cupped it in his palm.

Theodore opened his palm, glanced at it, and solemnly declared, "It's—" "—You're Two-Face's son!"

The green-haired man shrieked, "I recognize you! That face! That way of doing things! You must be Two-Face's son!" He rembered that when he was a child, he often saw that spirited prosecutor giving speeches on television.

That handso man was once hailed as Gotham's Bright Knight, the hope in the hearts of more than half of Gotham's citizens.

Viewed under the moonlight, Theodore's appearance, his deanor… compared to that fledgling young prosecutor from back then, were strikingly similar!

The previous Bright Knight had already fallen and beco Two-Face. So, what would beco of this clearly ntally unstable junior version?

Fear made the green-haired man speak without thinking. "Get lost! Go to Arkham with your father!"

Theodore: "…"

Theodore was speechless.

Swinging the gun butt fiercely to knock the green-haired man unconscious, Theodore stood rooted to the spot, feeling a little doubtful about life.

Two-Face's son, was he serious? Even if he couldn't defeat Theodore in terms of combat strength, there was no need to randomly assign Theodore a father, right?

What kind of strange ntal victory thod was this? Or did this green-haired man think it would be more honorable to lose to a villain's son?

After this battle, Theodore finally realized: Gotham, though good, was not his ho.

Because these authentic Gotham natives were all a little crazy.

After taking down Penguin, Batman, without stopping, efficiently dealt with Black Mask.

Special thanks here to Red Hood's contribution.

While the rest of the Bat Family were stretched thin, he alone took down two of Black Mask's lieutenants, disrupting Black Mask's escape plan.

Finally, Batman tied Black Mask up like a cocoon, then opened his wrist communicator to reply.

Black Mask was thrown onto the gleaming lobby floor, still unwilling to give up, trying to make one last struggle.

The next second, Batman's foot shifted slightly, threateningly stepping on Black Mask's carotid artery, and then pressed down hard. Black Mask's neck twisted, and he imdiately suffocated and passed out, stopping his free squirming.

"The Hikawa Wanda Hotel, front lobby, Black Mask has been subdued." "Alright, I'll be right there."

Robin had just sent Penguin to Arkham Asylum, specifically arranging a cell for him as far away from Riddler as possible.

Now, Tim was diligently heading back towards the hotel. "Should I take him to Arkham, B?"
