Among these seven million Kryptonian survivors, The Council of Elders, those old fellows, were naturally the first to adapt, as their genetic Rank was the highest.
"A Yellow Sun, what is this place, and what exactly happened?"
"How did we end up in this place?"
When they saw the Yellow Sun hanging high in the sky, expressions of extre astonishnt flashed across their faces.
And they instantly determined that this planet was not their familiar Krypton.
As the forr highest authority on Krypton, they naturally possessed secrets that ordinary Kryptonians did not know.
Therefore, they did not feel the slightest panic about the changes their bodies underwent when exposed to the Yellow Sun's radiation.
However, because they had all fallen into a deep sleep the mont Brainiac shrunk them.
Thus, their mories were still stuck at the mont just before Krypton's destruction over a decade ago.
As they were feeling bewildered, Zod's figure slowly descended from the sky, hovering above everyone's heads.
In an instant, the pupils of those who saw that face again suddenly constricted, finding it sowhat unbelievable.
After all, in their mories, it had only been a few months since they last saw that face.
At that ti, Zod's coup failed, and he beca a prisoner, while they, from their high positions, pronounced Zod guilty of murder and treason, exiling him and his subordinates.
At this mont, an indifferent voice ca from Zod's mouth: "Everyone, it's been a long ti!"
With the blessing of Divine Power, Zod's voice clearly reached everyone's ears, imdiately causing a stir among the crowd.
After all, the rebellion initiated by the original body was limited to the Kryptonian high-level officials; in reality, ordinary Kryptonian citizens, even those living in the capital Kandor City, had no idea what happened.
Coupled with The Council of Elders' deliberate suppression of information, nothing was widely publicized.
Therefore, in the eyes of these ordinary Kryptonians, Zod was still the revered Kryptonian military commander.
"It's General Zod."
Imdiately, the Elder who had previously pronounced Zod's cris stepped forward and questioned Zod:
"General Zod, what have you done? Where have you brought us, and where is Krypton?"
Facing this old fellow who had once judged his original body, Zod rely glanced at him indifferently, then coldly said: "Krypton has been destroyed!"
Upon hearing this news, even these high-ranking Kryptonian officials, who had already ntally prepared themselves, found it hard to believe.
In fact, they were all too familiar with the true situation of Krypton; Jor-El had even placed reports of the Kryptonian core anomalies on the tables of the Science Council's high-ranking mbers.
But these individuals, whose minds had beco rigid, had no intention of saving themselves or Krypton, instead sinking deeper into the shackles of the old order.
And the ordinary citizens, upon hearing this news, were first stunned, then erupted into a cacophony of noise.
"Krypton is destroyed? How is that possible?"
"Aren't we all standing here alive? If Krypton was destroyed, how did we survive?"
"Could it be that we are all already dead, and this is the afterlife, which is why the sun in the sky is Yellow?"
"But I can still clearly feel the surrounding air, my heart beating, and even when the sunlight shines on , I feel an incredibly comfortable sensation."
They were unwilling to believe the news of Krypton's destruction from the bottom of their hearts.
Because the news of Krypton's impending destruction was only confined to the innermost circles of power; ordinary Kryptonian citizens were basically completely unaware.
However, at this mont, so people's mories began to resurface.
"Wait, I rember seeing an apocalyptic scene before losing consciousness; that didn't seem to be a dream."
"I rember it too."
At this mont, they finally realized that the nightmare-like scene had actually happened.
"General Zod, since Krypton has been destroyed, how did we survive?"
After gradually accepting the news of Krypton's destruction, these people began to wonder why they were able to survive.
At this mont, Leto stepped forward and began to explain the current situation to them:
"Because before Krypton's big explosion, you and the entire Kandor City were shrunk and sealed by Brainiac using a shrinking ray!"
"It was Lord Hope who learned this information from Brainiac's Clone. The General ordered us to defeat him and retrieve you from his collection room."
"Without General Zod, you would still be in a deep sleep, displayed as collectibles."
Leto's words struck all Kryptonians like a bolt of lightning.
Many people's tears flowed uncontrollably, so from sadness over Krypton's destruction, others from the relief of surviving a catastrophe.
Zod took in all the changes in everyone's expressions, and his gaze remained fixed on the twelve mbers of The Council of Elders.
They showed no sign of emotional reaction, their faces still utterly numb, as if they cared not at all about Krypton's destruction.
"Is this how we survived?"
"Then what is this place? And what's with the Yellow Sun in the sky?"
At this, soone began to ask, puzzled.
"This is New Krypton, a new ho that General Zod led us to rebuild. It will also beco your second ho from now on."
As Leto's voice fell, an Elder holding a scepter stepped forward.
"Vana Leto, all of this is just your one-sided story. You launched a coup; you are shaful traitors. Do you still want to deceive everyone with lies now?"
As soon as he spoke, that familiar feeling of disgust that the original body knew quietly appeared.
And Zod also knew that this was a pawn sent by those old fellows to test his attitude.
But he did not want to play the ga of power struggle with these corrupt old things.
Zod rely raised his hand slightly, and the Elder's body uncontrollably flew up, while his body began to emit a golden light.
"Zod, what do you intend to do?"
Feeling his body completely out of control, and a scorching sensation rising from within him, even this Kryptonian Elder, who had lived for hundreds of years, truly panicked.
"Of course, it's to make you recognize reality. This is no longer the corrupt and old Krypton of the past, but my New Krypton."
The next mont, his body was incinerated into nothingness by golden flas.
And this scene was an unparalleled and intense shock to the other Kryptonians below; it was the first ti they had seen a mber of The Council of Elders die before their eyes.
