In his previous life, there was an old saying that went, "A prolonged attack will surely break through, and a prolonged defense will surely fail!"
It's safe to say that a fully powered Zod, even maintaining this high-intensity attack frequency, could keep it up for three days and three nights without a mont's rest.
Of course, his physical body might not tire, but his spirit might be the first to give out.
After all, Kryptonians possess superhuman physiques, but not superhuman souls. Similarly, their ntal fortitude is a major weakness for Kryptonians.
In his previous life, Zod had read many discussions that said Superman feared three things: kryptonite, magic, and mind control.
Now, Zod had sowhat overco the weakness of kryptonite. As for magic, he hadn't yet truly encountered a genuinely powerful magician, so he couldn't test his own resistance.
Regarding mind control, he felt that having lived two lives and rged with Zod's soul, he shouldn't be too weak in that aspect inherently.
However, all of these would need to be tested in practice when he encountered suitable opponents in the future.
When Zod's punch landed on Abin Sur's shield, his will finally wavered for a split second, causing his defense to instantly crumble.
"Crack!"
The green shield shattered like glass. The mont before Zod's fist landed on him, Abin Sur still managed to seize the opportunity to construct a temporary barrier around his body.
Zod also held back so of his strength at this mont; he genuinely had no intention of killing his opponent.
However, even so, Abin Sur's body was subjected to a powerful impact, causing him to vomit a large amount of blood. His vital signs began to drop rapidly, and it was clear his life was nearing its end.
Zod felt little emotion about personally killing a character from a past story. He simply said to him indifferently, "I held back. Bla your body for being too fragile."
However, what surprised Zod a bit was that the system's prompt hadn't sounded yet.
"Does it an victory is only achieved after the opponent has completely breathed his last? I rember it wasn't like this when I dealt with that giant python ancient god before."
Just as Zod was wondering, the ring on Abin Sur's hand suddenly emitted an even more brilliant green light.
Imdiately following that, a green beam of light instantly enveloped Abin Sur's body. The next mont, he miraculously recovered completely.
"Interesting. This green lantern ring actually has such a function?"
Zod looked at the ring on Abin Sur's hand and suddenly felt an urge to snatch it and study it!
"Kryptonian, I admit you are the strongest opponent I have encountered in my long career as a Green Lantern. But for the glory of the Green Lantern Corps, I will fight until the last mont."
With that, terrifying green energy surged around Abin Sur.
Then his ring glowed green again, and this ti he constructed a humanoid creature that looked exactly like Zod.
"Heh heh! Do all Green Lanterns think they can defeat with a crude replica like that?"
Zod didn't take it to heart. Green Lanterns could indeed construct individuals indistinguishable from real creatures, but ultimately, the power a constructed creature could exert still depended on the Lantern himself.
Although he hadn't been absorbing solar radiation for long and his own strength hadn't reached its peak, in his eyes, a Green Lantern, as long as he hadn't rged with a Lantern entity or devoured all the energy within the Central Power Battery on Oa, was nothing special.
Imdiately, the constructed green "Zod" made the exact sa movents as the real Zod had just made, charging towards the original.
"Hmph!"
Zod threw a punch, and it was clear the replica was no match, instantly being sent flying, though it didn't imdiately shatter.
Not wanting to waste more effort, Zod used greater strength this ti. Just as the two were about to collide, the replicated "Zod" seed to turn into jelly, instantly enveloping Zod's body.
At the sa ti, Abin Sur instantly created a giant cross-shaped green corridor at Zod's location. Four massive sonic devices were constructed in each of the corridor's four directions.
Without any hesitation, he directly activated the devices.
In an instant, four massive destructive sound waves completely engulfed Zod.
To counter Zod's Man of Steel, Abin Sur had quickly simulated this plan in his mind via the ring, achieving a 65% feasibility.
The result also seed to et his expectations.
At this mont, Zod, caught in the sound waves, felt every cell in his body vibrating. A terrifying buzzing sound echoed in his ears, and his brain felt hazy.
The veins on his face and all over his body bulged, as if the blood within him would burst out at any mont.
"Now, can I ask you to take your people and leave Earth? You haven't caused any killing or destruction on Earth, so I don't want to harm your life. If you agree, our battle can end imdiately!"
At this point, Abin Sur used his green lantern ring to transmit his thoughts directly into Zod's mind via ntal telepathy.
But his response was two crimson beams of deadly heat vision.
Abin Sur's will was already at its limit maintaining these constructs. Now, under Zod's frantic counterattack, he had no extra capacity to create a shield for himself.
Because if he chose to do so, Zod would undoubtedly escape instantly, and then there would likely be no further opportunity to trap him!
In this critical mont of choice between life and death, he still chose to preserve his own life, placing a prismatic mirror in front of him to reflect Zod's heat vision!
But this also gave Zod an opportunity to break free. The next mont, his body surged with power, and he instantly burst out of the sound wave's control range.
Then he fully bathed his body in the sunlight.
At this mont, he felt not the anger he had expected, but an unprecedented calmness.
From the beginning, he hadn't taken Abin Sur, the Green Lantern, seriously.
But he forgot that in his previous life, he was just an ordinary person. Even though he now possessed strength beyond the reach of ordinary people, he was not invincible, and arrogance could lead to a great loss.
This blow served to awaken him!
The mont he re-received solar radiation, the discomfort in his body imdiately began to rapidly recover.
Then, just as he was preparing to engage Abin Sur in battle once more, he suddenly heard him say, "Kryptonian, you win. I surrender!"
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for defeating a powerful enemy, gaining 2 lottery draws!]
At this point, hearing the prompt in his mind, Zod barely managed to suppress his impulse to attack again.
Zod didn't have too much ill will towards the Green Lantern Corps, because most Green Lanterns truly upheld the ideals of justice, and many Lanterns even sacrificed themselves for it.
Because of this, the hosts of the green lantern ring also changed constantly, as if new hosts were being sought at all tis.
But similarly, he didn't have much goodwill towards them either. Of course, the main reason was his disgust with the Little Blue n behind them.
Those guys, under the guise of Guardians of the Universe, were essentially still pursuing universal hegemony. The Green Lantern Corps was just a convenient tool in their hands, and a replaceable one at that.
Looking at Abin Sur, Zod said coldly:
"I should thank you for helping realize sothing. So, I can let you go this ti, but if we et again as opponents, I will twist off your head."
Hearing this, Abin Sur said with an unchanging expression, "I believe you can easily kill , but if you and your people engage in acts that trample on justice and life on Earth, even if it ans my death, I will still stop you."
After speaking, he transford into a green light and flew into space.
