Returning to Earth, Zod quickly located Diana.
When the two appeared, they found a strange man beside her. Judging by their intimate appearance, their relationship was clearly not shallow.
Seeing Fiora and Zod arrive, Diana seed very happy. She imdiately flashed in front of Fiora and said excitedly:
"Fiora, I think you won't believe it, but there really is a wishing crystal in this world that can grant wishes."
"He is Steve, my love. I wished upon that crystal for him to return to , and he actually ca back to . Although he looks different, he really is Steve."
Looking at the surprised expression on Diana's face, Fiora instinctively felt that sothing was not right.
But seeing that her joy was from the bottom of her heart, she temporarily did not voice her doubts.
She just smiled and responded to her: "Congratulations on your wish coming true."
Diana smiled and said, "Thank you!"
Then she began to introduce Zod and the others to Steve:
"Steve, let introduce you. This is my best friend Fiora, and that is Mr. Zod, who is also Fiora's superior. They are both from a planet called Krypton, which is outside of Earth."
As a man who had already witnessed legendary gods, Steve was only montarily surprised when he heard of their alien identity.
Then he actively smiled and extended his hand to the two, saying, "Hello, I'm Steve Trevor, Diana's love. It's a pleasure to et you."
Zod looked him over with so curiosity. With his current insight, he could naturally roughly discern that the soul and body of the person in front of him did not completely match.
However, he did not find any other soul fluctuations on him, which ant that the original soul of this body had been taken to so unknown place.
Zod secretly pondered in his heart: "A different kind of possession?"
"Hello, Mr. Trevor."
Shaking hands with him without a change in expression, Zod secretly used his psychic abilities to try and read Steve's mories. He was very interested in where the soul of this deceased person had gone.
After all, there truly is a saying of hell and heaven in this world. He wanted to know where his soul went after he died, and how he ca back.
However, at this mont, he found that there seed to be an invisible barrier within Steve's soul that blocked his investigation.
Feeling the strength of that barrier, he couldn't help but secretly estimate: "Perhaps if I step into the Immortal Stage and completely transform my spiritual power into Sun God Consciousness, I will be able to break through this obstruction!"
At this ti, a trace of doubt also arose in his heart: "Is this barrier ford by the power of that mysterious wishing crystal, or is it an anti-peeping effect inherent in special dinsions like heaven or hell?"
Just then, Diana suddenly spoke to Zod: "Mr. Zod, do you know anything about that wishing crystal?"
Diana hadn't forgotten that although Zod was an alien, he knew many secrets, and could even reveal her origins in a single sentence.
Perhaps Zod would know the secret of that wishing crystal.
Hearing her words, Fiora and Steve also looked at him curiously, hoping to hear so relevant clues from him.
"I do know so things, but not much. Just listen!"
"I don't know the specific origin of that crystal, but I do know that anyone who makes a wish to it will pay a heavy price the mont their wish is granted, and the harder the wish is to fulfill, the greater the price the wish-maker will pay."
"In the past, many civilizations on Earth destroyed themselves by abusing the power of this crystal. You can find relevant docunted records in your current workplace."
Hearing Zod say this, Diana suddenly felt a sense of unease.
Fiora and Steve both looked at her with concern.
"Diana."
Seeing this, she could only force a smile: "I'm fine."
"I wonder where that crystal is now. It is a true source of chaos. If not handled properly, it could cause turmoil throughout human society."
Awakened by Zod's words, Diana imdiately reacted.
"That crystal is currently in the museum's storage room. It seems I must find a way to place it in a safe place for safekeeping."
Instantly, she thought of Themyscira. After speaking, she imdiately turned to head towards the museum.
It was at this mont that she suddenly felt a dizzy spell, almost falling, and a line of blood flowed from her nostrils.
Reaching up to wipe it, Diana looked at the blood on her hand with so disbelief.
One must know that she herself possessed the bloodline of a God King, a demigod's body, and had received the blessings of the gods. In over five thousand years, her body had not only never been injured, but had never even suffered a minor illness.
At this mont, Diana had a very clear feeling: "My power is rapidly disappearing."
Steve quickly supported her and asked worriedly, "Diana, what's wrong with you?"
Although his body was not the one he once had, his feelings for Diana had not changed in the slightest.
Diana did not want to tell him the specific situation her body was currently undergoing, only smiling and saying, "Don't worry, I'm fine."
But Steve was not brushed off by her words, and said anxiously, "How can you be fine? You are Wonder Woman."
Just as she was about to say sothing more, Zod's voice suddenly rang out in her mind.
"I think you must have felt it, your wish has co true, and the price is that you will lose all your power. If you are not willing to sincerely give up the wish you have made, then from now on you will beco a mortal, and will experience birth, old age, sickness, and death."
Looking at Steve and Fiora, and seeing no abnormality on their faces, Diana imdiately knew that Zod was communicating with her using his psychic abilities.
So she imdiately replied in her mind: "Mr. Zod, do you know of any way to resolve all of this?"
"There is no way to have both. The only way is for you to sincerely say from your heart, 'I am willing to give up my wish,' and then everything will return to normal."
Hearing this thod, Diana fell silent!
At this mont, Zod's interest in that wishing crystal grew even stronger!
Through a wish, it was actually able to strip Diana, a demigod with the bloodline of a God King and the blessings of the gods, of her power.
This involved not just the physical laws that co into play when ordinary people's wishes are granted, but seed to reach the conceptual level of causality.
The origin of this crystal was very mysterious. If it was not a naturally ford treasure, then the one behind its creation must also be a powerful being.
This instantly made Zod think of a bug-level artifact that only appeared in comics: the "Miracle Machine."
Although according to the setting, it was a "technological" product created in the 30th century, its power completely overturned the aning of the word technology.
Not only could it completely disregard any physical laws to fulfill the user's desires, but it also had no cost to use, and no limit to the number of uses.
Superman even used the power of the Miracle Machine to directly repair the universe that Darkseid had destroyed!
