Reality vibrated around the Throne of Heaven.
While the archangels and seraphim gathered in ceremonial silence, a golden light began to pulse behind the once-empty throne. The energy emanating from it was anything but ordinary—it was ancient, as if ti itself were bending. And there, resting on the sacred seat, lay a letter. Simple, yet radiating an authority impossible to ignore.
Michael, present in person, stared at the paper with a mixture of reverence and tension. A floating quill traced lines of light through the air, writing on its own. The words weren't just letters. They were commands.
"To those who still believe..."
The entire hall fell into suspension.
"This is the new Lord speaking."
The silence deepened.
"All flaws in the Celestial System have been corrected. The ti of errors is over. Heaven is no longer a prison of impossible purity."
Gabriel's face lit up for a brief mont, as if a long-forgotten hope had returned to shine. Raphael, with arms crossed, raised his eyebrows. Uriel stepped back, almost instinctively.
"Angels shall no longer fall for loving, desiring, or living.
They will only fall if they choose to live by sin—completely and absolutely.
Now, love is permitted. Marriage is permitted.
Faith is not about perfection, but about effort. Just like it is for humans."
These words pierced through centuries of rigidity, shattering dogmas and redefining existence. It was as if the weight of a thousand wings had been lifted in an instant. For the first ti since the death of God, Heaven breathed differently.
The quill continued:
"The system has been restored with a fairer logic.
Errors identified and corrected:
— The rigidity of absolute purity has been removed.
— Angels with three pairs of wings can now hold their own titles as Brave Saints (also known as Royal Users — a set of 13 cards used by Angels to elevate their ranks by reincarnating other beings as Angels).
— Exorcists have been created ('inspired by the Hazbin Hotel model') — humans gifted with faith and special powers, trained to balance justice and compassion.
— Sacred Gears have been removed from all who beca purely demons. From now on, only humans or half-breeds may wield them.
— The purified Gears have returned to the natural cycle, ready for new bearers.
Everything is done. Everything is already active.
— Signed: The Presence."
The letter burned in pure light and vanished, leaving behind a scent of myrrh and freedom. And then, without fanfare, the sacred throne lit up. A soft, pulsing golden light—like the heart of a living star. No sound was made, but all understood:
He was there. Present.
In a higher plane—perhaps above all heavens—the boy with ssy hair floated amid divine pages and glyphs. Panels of light spun around him, each displaying flaws, codes, functions, and anomalies.
"Bug in the purification of impure thoughts? That's ridiculous," he said, scribbling a new line of code with his golden quill.
[PLOC, PLOC, PLOC]
Each correction was accompanied by a reverberation in the fabric of Creation. Sacred codes realigned. Angelic algorithms rewrote themselves. Even the oldest angels felt lighter, as if sothing invisible had stopped pressing down on their chests.
"Angels need motivation, not fear," he murmured. "A healthy faith is not born from guilt, but from love."
He lowered his eyes to a new list.
"'Celestial reproduction limit: locked.' Seriously? Not even a backup of the creation code? Who wrote this?"
With a single gesture, he drew new lines into the celestial architecture. Golden circles began spinning in the spiritual plane. The creation code ca back to life.
"There. Now, new angels can be born... from love, not just decree. And the Brave Saints?" He typed another sequence. "Now any angel with three pairs of wings can form their own deck. They've earned that right."
[PING!]
An angelic notification confird: "Brave Saints system successfully expanded."
He smiled, satisfied but without arrogance. It felt like fixing an old toy, abandoned by a father too busy to care.
"What's left?"
A new panel opened: "Sacred Gears possessed by pure demons: 18% of total."
He frowned.
"That wasn't supposed to happen. Sacred Gears were ant for humans. Pure humans or hybrids at most. Demons shouldn't be compatible with these blessings."
With a firm movent, he removed the Gears from those who had fully sold their souls. The spiritual gears floated through the air like lost constellations, returning to the cycle.
"The hybrids keep theirs. They still have humanity... they still have choice."
Shortly after, a final sheet appeared before him. On it, all of Heaven's flaws were listed. One by one, he struck them out, corrected, redesigned. When he finished, he folded the paper and with a gentle breath, sent it directly to the throne room.
Michael held the freshly-appeared page with trembling hands.
"Everything is resolved," the note said. "Rest. Just guide."
And below it:
"Let go of fear. Live by hope."
[BOOOOOOM...]
A golden wave swept through Heaven. The Celestial Colonies trembled. The gates of the eternal cathedrals opened. Repentant fallen angels were lifted—not as punishnt, but as reunited children. The new Brave Saints awakened, feeling their titles pulse in their chests with pride and purpose.
And above all, shining like a sun that never burns, the throne glowed endlessly.
Not out of vanity. But out of presence. Out of truth.
That day, Heaven changed.
And Creation ca to know a new Lord.
One who did not demand perfection.
Only faith—just as it was always ant to be.
