Che Huan quickly averted her gaze and spoke in a tiny voice, "It seed to be Auntie Shen who delivered the lunch."
Huo Jinnan furrowed his brows, sat up in bed, slipped on his slippers, and with a dignified chill, walked over to the door.
Che Huan saw he wasn’t planning to give her ti to hide, and opening the door like this would surely expose her. There was no ti to run to the bathroom and hide, so in a panic, she climbed onto the bed and dove under the covers, wrapping herself up tight!
Just as she had tucked in the covers, the door creaked open.
Auntie Shen stood at the door with the lunch, "Second Young Master."
The team leader glanced over, saw a strand of black hair peeking out from the blanket, shuffled to the side, sat down, and flicked its tail over the spot to cover it.
Auntie Shen, recalling the order from the youngest master just now, peeked into the bedroom.
Huo Jinnan’s frown deepened as he took the lunch from her.
Auntie Shen hurriedly withdrew her gaze, "Second Young Master, if it’s not enough, just call later."
Huo Jinnan didn’t say a word, his eyes a frosty deep shade as he swept a glance at Auntie Shen.
That one look made Auntie Shen’s heart jump with fear, not daring to glance around carelessly any longer, she hurriedly left.
Huo Jinnan watched Auntie Shen’s retreating figure for a while, then closed the door, placed the lunch on the bedside table, and glanced at Che Huan hidden under the covers, "Auntie Shen has left."
The bed was warm with his body heat, and the blanket was imbued with his scent; it was suffocating under there!
Che Huan lifted the covers and quickly sat up.
Huo Jinnan pointed to the lunch on the bedside table, "You eat first."
Just one serving!
Che Huan glanced at Huo Jinnan, "What will you eat?"
"I’ll eat after you’re done," Huo Jinnan laid back on the bed and turned to the team leader, "Go, turn on the TV."
The team leader jumped off the bed, awkwardly took the remote control, turned on the TV, skillfully switched to the sports channel, placed the remote back in its original spot, then quickly returned to Huo Jinnan’s side to watch the television screen with voracious interest.
Che Huan glanced at it, figuring that probably all n were alike, fond of sports competitions. But even the team leader seed so engrossed. Could it actually understand what was happening?
It wasn’t until Huo Jinnan looked at her that Che Huan quickly looked away and picked up her chopsticks to silently eat her al, wondering whether she should leave half for him but then thinking that wouldn’t be appropriate since she had already eaten from it.
He would feel awkward if he didn’t eat, and if he ate it, she would feel even more embarrassed!
Wrapped up in these thoughts, Che Huan unconsciously finished the entire lunch.
Seeing the empty plate and bowl, she blushed with embarrassnt and looked in Huo Jinnan’s direction, "I accidentally finished it all."
"So you ate my half, waiting for to eat you?" Huo Jinnan glanced sideways at Che Huan with a profound look in his eyes.
Che Huan was already embarrassed, but at his words, her ears and neck turned a bright red.
Huo Jinnan glanced at the empty plate, considering that Huo Bei coming up might make her even more uncomfortable. He picked up the cellphone from the bedside table, "Huo Bei, have Auntie Shen co up."
Huo Bei, after receiving the call, looked at Auntie Shen, "Auntie Shen, the master wants you upstairs."
Auntie Shen responded with a "Yes" and smiled at the old master and Huo Qichang, "I’m going up to take a look. The Second Young Master might not have had enough to eat."
