"It doesn’t matter."
Huo Jinnan glanced towards the entrance. Che Huan and the others had already gone in.
He entered the hotel with Qin Shaojin.
Qin Shaojin looked at the manager, "Which way did those people go just now?"
Just now?
The manager quickly caught on, looked at Qin Shaojin, whose deanor was handso and refined, not like an ordinary person. Besides, soone who could make Miss Huo admit defeat was certainly no simple character; he dared not neglect them.
He respectfully bowed, "Sir, over there."
Qin Shaojin casually pointed, "Okay, that table over there."
"All right, gentlen, please follow ." The manager walked ahead, leading Qin Shaojin and Huo Jinnan to the table where Che Huan and her group were seated.
Wen Nuan turned her head and saw them. She gently tugged at Che Huan, "Sister Huanhuan, look, they’re walking this way."
When Che Huan turned around, her eyes t Huo Jinnan’s, and she quickly looked away!
Huo Jinnan walked over and sat right across from Che Huan, with both of them facing each other.
Qin Shaojin sat next to Huo Jinnan, "Huo Ge, that case fell through, and I’m feeling pretty upset. You’ll pay my lawyer’s fees!"
Huo Jinnan responded coldly with a "hm."
This was Qin Shaojin’s first ti sitting in the lobby, and he felt uncomfortable with many glances coming their way, "Pay triple!"
Huo Jinnan raised his eyes to Qin Shaojin, "Na your price."
...
Their voices weren’t loud, but they were so close that Che Huan could hear them clearly. Qin Shaojin was asking him for her lawyer’s fees!
So, was it because of him that a top lawyer like Qin Shaojin had approached her proactively?
Did he help her divorce because he was recognized by the group leader that day at Yunshang?
"Sister Huanhuan."
Wen Nuan saw that Che Huan was staring blankly at the table and gently called out.
Che Huan snapped back to reality and saw that her aunt and uncle had returned from the restroom.
Wen Hua’s expression beca solemn as he saw Huo Jinnan and Qin Shaojin sitting nearby.
Bi Fu looked at Wen Hua.
Considering that the two n were relatively approachable and that Qin Shaojin had just protected Wen Nuan from a slap, Wen Hua spoke quietly, "Since we’ve t, there’s no need to change places now."
He and Bi Fu took their seats at one side.
Qin Shaojin glanced in the direction of Wen Hua.
Wen Hua noticed his gaze and also looked at Qin Shaojin.
Qin Shaojin smiled at Wen Hua, "The issue you faced last ti was handled through by Huo Ge. I’m pleased to et you."
Wen Hua responded with a "Thank you," polite and distant.
Qin Shaojin glanced in the direction of Che Huan, "May I discuss the matter of Ms. Che’s divorce case with her?"
Wen Hua looked at Qin Shaojin, "Huanhuan ntioned that it seems the case has already been handled."
Qin Shaojin’s lips curled into a smile, "There’s still so unfinished business regarding the financial settlent."
Wen Hua smiled indifferently, "That won’t be necessary."
Qin Shaojin made an "oh" sound, "In that case, I should settle the fees with Ms. Che."
Wen Hua looked in Che Huan’s direction, "I’m Huanhuan’s uncle, you can settle the fees with ."
It wasn’t expected that Ms. Che’s uncle would be so spirited.
Qin Shaojin narrowed his slender eyes, a hint of amusent in the corner, "Alright, I’ll mail the bill to your office on another day. Cash or transfer, as you wish, and of course, installnt paynts are also an option."
Wen Nuan was listening on the side, wondering what Qin Shaojin was up to asking for money from the god-like figure, and now from her father; she couldn’t figure out what he was really after!
Rembering how he had just helped her out, she couldn’t help but sneak a look at him and secretly squeezed Che Huan’s hand.
