Huo Jinnan flicked his lighter, lit a cigarette, took the docunts, glanced over them with furrowed brows, fixed his gaze, took a drag, and inhaled the rich smoke deep into his heart and lungs.
After looking for a while, his long fingers flipped through, continuing to the pages beyond.
Che Huan stood by, unable to discern the dense black print on the A4 paper, only hearing the "swish swish" of pages being turned.

Che Huan looked at Huo Jinnan, unsure who he was calling, and then heard a low "co in." The door to the private room was pushed open and a lean, tall man entered.
The man closed the door behind him and walked over to Huo Jinnan. "Mr. Huo."
Huo Jinnan, without a word, took the docunts handed to him and passed them to Du Bin.
Du Bin took them, and as he read, a sense of alarm rose within him. He had thought the evidence he collected was plentiful, but he hadn’t anticipated the materials gathered by Mr. Huo’s people would be even more shocking, including even transcripts of police interrogations! So much firsthand data!
"It’s enough, Mr. Huo."
"Good."
Huo Jinnan stood up, looked at Che Huan, and reached out to hold her hand.
Che Huan got up with him, glanced sideways at him. Was this how she would be led out, the situation over without her knowing anything?
Back in the hotel room, before Che Huan had a chance to ask what was discovered, Huo Jinnan received a phone call and left.

On the second floor of the hotel, Huo Jinnan sat in an elegant private dining space and glanced at his wristwatch.
Ten minutes later, Che Zhiqiang arrived.
Huo Jinnan lifted his eyes and swept a glance at him, signaling for him to sit.
Che Zhiqiang adjusted his chair and sat down across from Huo Jinnan.
Huo Jinnan lit a cigarette, held it between his fingers, and gave a simple self-introduction. "Huo Jinnan."
Che Zhiqiang then realized his last na was Huo.
Just like that, sitting across from him, he felt the man’s overwhelming presence stifling him, and thinking about their previous encounters, such a man was truly soone he and his mother could not afford to provoke!
He spoke very politely, "May I know why Mr. Huo asked to see ?"
Huo Jinnan remained silent, staring at Che Zhiqiang for a while.
Che Zhiqiang sat there, recalling their last conversation. The overbearingly sharp gaze of Huo Jinnan made his heart flutter with panic, and his eyes began to flicker away involuntarily.
Huo Jinnan took a drag of his cigarette, looked down at the ash forming at its tip, twirled it between his fingers, and then addressed a person standing nearby. "Give it to him."
The tall slender man beside Huo Jinnan handed over the copied docunts to Che Zhiqiang. "Mr. Che, please have a look."
Che Zhiqiang, not knowing what it was, took them blankly, and after just one page, his shoulders began to shake; his breathing grew steadily more rapid.
The speed at which he flipped through the docunts increased, and by the end, his face was completely drained of color. Sitting there, his whole body shook violently, and one could even hear the sound of his teeth chattering.
It was quite so ti before he managed to steady himself, put down the docunts, and looked up in Huo Jinnan’s direction. eting the man’s piercingly cold eyes, he felt a chill run down his spine and couldn’t help but take in a sharp breath. "May I know what Mr. Huo wishes to learn?"
