Huo Jinnan had just finished a phone call when he looked down at the little guy.
The little guy saw that Huo Jinnan hadn’t grasped what he ant, and, dissatisfied, pursed his lips tightly. His eyes glanced at a couple not far away who were holding hands with their own child, and then he glared at Huo Jinnan. That should make it clear, right?
But the next second, the little guy was not okay.
The annoying Huo Jinnan wasn’t looking at him but was actually looking at Huanhuan!
"Cough cough, Huo Jin... Dad!"
Huo Jinnan heard the little guy’s voice and looked down at him.
The little guy glanced again at the parents ahead holding their baby’s hands. "Dad, that little friend up ahead is in my class."
Huo Jinnan glanced over.
The little guy stretched his neck, looking at him, and he still hadn’t reacted!
Huo Jinnan was so silly!
The little guy looked at Huo Jinnan with a complicated expression, then turned his head away and stretched out his little hand to touch Huo Jinnan’s large palm, hooking his little finger around.
Huo Jinnan paused, looking down at the little guy and saw the slightly reddish earlobes peeking from beneath the white sunhat.
He glanced again at the couple ahead holding their own child.
The little guy sneaked a peek and, seeing his gaze turned aside, spoke to Che Huan, "Huanhuan, why don’t you co and visit my classroom later?"
Che Huan saw through the little guy’s thoughts and humd in agreent, helping him readjust the slightly skewed hat.
The little guy nodded in satisfaction and still didn’t talk to Huo Jinnan.
Che Huan smiled at Huo Jinnan and glanced at another couple in front, then nudged his chin towards them.
Huo Jinnan looked several tis, then stared at the little guy for a while. After thinking for a few seconds, he stooped down, stretched out his long arms to wrap around the little guy, and picked him up.
The little guy’s eyes widened in disbelief, and it took him a while to calm down. Looking down at Huo Jinnan, he wondered why he was suddenly so cooperative.
That’s not normal!
"Really, I’ve grown up, and when you hold like this, I—"
Before he could finish speaking, his body swayed, and his feet touched the ground again.
The little guy looked up, annoyed, at Huo Jinnan who had put him down.
Huo Jinnan stood there, looking at the little guy. "Aren’t you afraid that the other kids will laugh at you?"
"..."
The little guy’s heart was stuffed to the brim. Is that how a father behaves? He definitely wasn’t Huo Jinnan’s biological child! He... he wanted to find Huanhuan a new boyfriend and then have himself adopted over!
Huo Jinnan watched the little guy’s defeated expression, his thin lips curving into a faint smile. He reached out to take the backpack from the little guy’s shoulder, slung it over his arm, held his little hand, and walked towards the registration area indicated by the sign.
The little guy blinked his large eyes a few tis; had Huo Jinnan just smiled? It was rare to see him smile! No, that’s wrong! He had never seen him smile!
It seed a little nice!
Looking down at the large palm holding his hand again, and thinking of Huo Jinnan’s smile just now, he felt sohow that it was at his expense.
When they reached the registration area for the middle class, they could see from afar a chubby little girl in a white pleated skirt standing nearby, asking loudly, "Is there a Huo Minhan in your class?"
The little guy stopped in his tracks, frowning.
Soon they saw soone pointing in their direction, "Huo Minhan is over there."
The little girl saw the little guy, stretched out her hand, and tugged at the tall boy beside her, "Big brother, that’s the one. Hmm, he doesn’t look too bad."
