Wen Nuan snatched her wallet back and hesitated between going to the hotel and going ho as she looked at Qin Shaojin.
Going ho at this ti would inevitably lead to an interrogation by Dad Wen and Mom Ji, so she might as well stay at a hotel!
She had won so much money today, she wanted to stay in a five-star hotel and see what a standard room in a five-star hotel actually looked like!
With that thought, she spoke decisively, "Don’t worry, I’m going to stay at a hotel. I can use my card!"
Qin Shaojin sat there and smiled harmlessly, "Whatever."
Wen Nuan’s eyes widened, "Then give back my money!"
Qin Shaojin raised his arm slightly, feeling the card slide down his sleeve, and threw the money to Wen Nuan.
Wen Nuan picked up the money and carefully put it in her wallet, then thought it over and decided to stay downtown, for safety’s sake, "Just drop off in front of any five-star hotel in the city center."
Qin Shaojin pinched the bridge of his nose. She had just won his money, and without even letting it get warm in her hands, she was already thinking about staying in a five-star hotel?
He was quite curious to see how she would manage it.
Upon reaching the downtown area, Qin Shaojin stopped the car right in front of the Hong Kong Gold Hotel, "Get out."
Wen Nuan got out of the car, grabbed her backpack, and waved at Qin Shaojin, "Goodbye."
Goodbye to winning your money!
Wen Nuan added silently in her heart, slinging her backpack over her shoulders and happily heading towards the hotel entrance.
Qin Shaojin sat in the car, lit a cigarette, took a puff, and watched Wen Nuan’s retreating figure. The fire didn’t go out as he shifted the car into neutral, his good-looking fingers lightly tapping the steering wheel while his pretty lips moved slightly, his voice lodious and seductive.
"One."
"Two."
"Three."
...
"Two hundred eleven."
"Two hundred twelve."
As he saw Wen Nuan erge from the champagne-colored revolving door, he stopped counting, turned the car around, and started driving slowly forward.
Wen Nuan, feeling frustrated, gripped the straps of her backpack. How could she have lost her card? She rembered it was there when she went to the bank; could it have been dropped when she carelessly took it out?
Apart from that mont, there was no other ti she could have possibly lost it.
And just as expected, the card with twenty million on it couldn’t be used; all the money in it was frozen!
Thinking about that embarrassing mont, she really wanted to crawl into a hole in the ground!
She rummaged through her wallet, saw the eighteen dollars, and suddenly regretted not accepting Qin Xiaosan’s offer. Eighteen dollars for a night in a mansion would have been such a good deal!
Unfortunately, ti couldn’t be rewound.
Looking at the eighteen dollars in her hand, Wen Nuan shook it vigorously, wishing it was a hundred and eighty dollars so she could afford the cab fare ho. Now, she couldn’t go anywhere; even staying overnight in an internet cafe downtown wouldn’t be enough!
She walked on, morosely kicking her shoes as she went.
Qin Shaojin drove a distance, then glanced in the rearview mirror. Wangzi didn’t even look in his direction!
He reversed the car a bit closer to Wen Nuan, then started moving forward again.
After walking a while, Wen Nuan looked up to see the white Porsche, and hope sparked in her eyes. On recognizing the familiar license plate, she hurriedly chased after it.
Qin Shaojin sped up the car.
Wen Nuan chased after the car for quite so ti, but couldn’t catch up. She stopped, panting and rubbing her knees, took a few breaths, looked up, and glared at the receding Porsche.
That jerk, Qin Xiaosan, must have seen her and then sped up!
How could there be soone so hateful in the world!
She watched as the Porsche suddenly stopped and was montarily dumbfounded. Did Qin Xiaosan have a change of heart?
With renewed determination, she quickly chased after the car with her backpack securely in place!
