Che Huan, panicking, retreated until her back suddenly hit the wall, her hands quickly braced against Huo Jinnan’s chest as she looked up at him.
Huo Jinnan looked down at her, inching closer, the distance between them steadily shrinking.
Up too close, she felt the overwhelming height and size of the man before her, the absolute height difference creating a strong presence and pressure that made it hard to breathe.
Huo Jinnan watched her for a while, then asked in a low voice, "Why are you not talking?"

What could she say?
What could she say! He knew very well which day it was, yet he was doing this on purpose. Why should she present herself for him to insult?

Huo Jinnan’s gaze locked on Che Huan’s clear, wave-like eyes, "What are you afraid of?"
"..." Che Huan desperately tried to avoid his gaze, yet she was unable to escape it as if stuck to it.
Huo Jinnan remained silent, his long fingers lifting to gently brush her bangs, grazing by her ear and lingering there. As he looked into those clear eyes that reflected his own image so vividly, his own gaze deepened, turning into a dark vortex seemingly ready to pull her in at any mont.
Che Huan was indignant, staring back at Huo Jinnan, her chest heaving with agitation.
Huo Jinnan watched for a while, his eyes gradually becoming tranquil, then he let go of Che Huan and sat aside to smoke.
Che Huan leaned against the wall, trembling uncontrollably.
After a long while, she regained her breath and looked towards Huo Jinnan, still harboring a stifled anger with nowhere to vent!
He sat there as if nothing had happened, as if the person from monts ago wasn’t him at all!
