The treasure, of course, is the Jade Bamboo Root that Chen Jie values the most.

The Jade Bamboo Root is the main dicine for the Warm Nourishing Pill and can also be used to refine many high-end dicinal materials, not just the Warm Nourishing Pill. Its value is even comparable to the Wolf Core he obtained.

With this in mind, Chen Jie led the White Tiger back to the Purple Bamboo Forest.

Upon arrival, the White Tiger appeared sowhat lancholy, looking at the place it often stayed, feeling a bit sentintal.

However, seeing Chen Jie, it chose not to say anything, for it would now follow him and seek a livelihood together.

The two soon arrived in front of the three Jade Bamboos, and Chen Jie looked at the White Tiger and asked, "Since we’re leaving, can I take these bamboos?"

The White Tiger pondered for a mont, seemingly reminiscing sothing, then gently nodded in agreent to Chen Jie’s request.

Seeing this, Chen Jie gazed at the Jade Bamboos in front of him.

Touching the bamboo body of the Jade Bamboo, it felt cold as jade; the material of this bamboo was surprisingly similar to jade.

Chen Jie examined it and then began digging.

However, Chen Jie didn’t intend to uproot these Jade Bamboos completely, but rather cut down two large bamboos, taking their roots and stems.

As for the small one, Chen Jie did not touch it, allowing it to continue growing here.

It wasn’t considered destroying the local ecosystem. After so digging and chopping, Chen Jie finally took two large roots, each as thick as a ter-long rope, and seven or eight smaller roots about fifty to sixty centiters long.

Suddenly, he achieved freedom with Jade Bamboo Roots.

To know that the Jade Bamboo Root Chen Jie used for refining the Warm Nourishing Pill was only fifteen to sixteen centiters long, these Jade Bamboo Roots were enough for Chen Jie to refine hundreds of Warm Nourishing Pills.

This is the freedom of the Jade Bamboo Roots. When you sought them but couldn’t obtain them, it was hard to find even one. But once you’ve had them, it’s much easier to acquire more.

Chen Jie collected these Jade Bamboo Roots, and then noticed the bamboo body of the Jade Bamboo. This, for sure, was a treasure, though he wasn’t sure how to use it yet, it certainly had its uses.

Chen Jie chopped all these Jade Bamboo Roots into small sections, placed them into the Storage Ring, which got stuffed fully. Chen Jie, out of options, had to abandon so daily supplies to make room for these treasures.

After doing all this, Chen Jie felt a bit thirsty and conveniently saw a Jade Bamboo Tube in his hand, which was an excellent water container.

So, he took it to the riverbank.

At this mont, he used the Jade Bamboo Tube to scoop water, and as the water went into the tube, Chen Jie noticed the Jade Bamboo’s color changing slightly darker.

A mont later, the Jade Bamboo Tube returned to its original color. Then Chen Jie glanced inside the tube.

He discovered that the contents inside the tube beca distinct, with a layer of black water forming at the bottom, while the top layer remained clear and still.

Chen Jie took out another Jade Bamboo Tube, poured the clean water from above into this tube, and noticed the tube did not change color.

Chen Jie took a sip of the tube’s water and imdiately felt an exceptionally sweet taste, far sweeter than any water he had tasted before.

Purification?

The word flashed in Chen Jie’s mind. Could this Jade Bamboo Tube possess purification capabilities?

Thinking about it, Chen Jie poured the dirty water from the first tube onto the ground and scooped another tube of water. Sure enough, it first darkened and then returned to its previous state.

Chen Jie curiously observed the bamboo tube.

Is it this magical?

Chen Jie took out another tube for testing and found that it indeed could purify toxins in the water.

It possessed a strong purification function as well as a potent toxin detection ability.

After discovering such a miraculous function of the Jade Bamboo, Chen Jie felt as if he had found a treasure, also contemplating many application possibilities for the Jade Bamboo.

For instance, the sturdier bamboo tubes could be used as vessels to store water, providing both toxin detection and water purification.

Do not underestimate water purification; it’s crucial for both ordinary people and Martial Artists. Who knows how many toxic substances are present in water, causing illnesses from ingestion?

Especially with his wife and Wan’er being pregnant, water quality was also of significant importance.

Moreover, with his increasing status and influence, potential enemies would grow in number. Who knows if anyone would use underhanded thods to poison him?

With the Jade Bamboo Tube, he could test for toxins himself.

This concerns daily life, as well as other aspects like Alchemy.

In Alchemy, one important factor others might not notice, but Chen Jie did, as recorded in the Elixir Book of Chang Chun Valley.

The water used for Alchemy should ideally be spring water, as spring water contains fewer impurities, less pollution, and fewer toxins.

The ultimate goal is to use extrely pure water.

When Chen Jie read this passage, he instantly thought of the pure water from later eras like Wahaha, which was genuinely clean, containing nothing but water, thereby becoming designated as laboratory water.

If one could take Wahaha pure water to this era for Alchemy, it would undoubtedly be excellent.

One might argue, using spring water which contains various trace minerals might provide additional benefits to Elixirs.

Chen Jie suggested it’s possible, but most Elixirs have nothing to do with water; the main active ingredients are various dicinal herbs unless it’s a Spiritual Spring inherently containing strong Spiritual Energy or dicinal value.

Otherwise, pure water is superior.

The Jade Bamboo Tube equates to a pure water extraction device, and using the water purified by the Jade Bamboo Tube for Alchemy in the future would undoubtedly enhance the quality substantially.
