Now reading: Chapter 240 - 34: The Power of A Su (Part 2) from Daily Life in the Countryside After Being Reborn, a Romance novel by MS Fuzi.

The match didn’t turn out to be as closely contested as imagined earlier. Sacred Heart Middle School did not significantly weaken just because Bai Xue was absent. Zhang Yiyi also put on a notable performance, but the audience on the court, including Zeng Xuerou’s two-person reporting team, did not notice this at all. The eyes of the audience, the players, and the coaches were all drawn to Wang Ke,

with an almost one hundred percent shooting accuracy, and an ultra-efficient steal rate, Wang Ke was the absolute dominator on the court.

Wang Ke’s skills had improved tremendously, and even Zeng Xuerou could see it. Both of them belonged to the student council, one as the president and the other as the vice president, and since Wang Ke, despite some scheming, had good organizational skills, their relationship was fairly close.

As for Wang Ke’s basketball skills, Zeng Xuerou, who had reported on numerous league and friendly matches, should have known them inside out. She had never seen Wang Ke play as divinely as today.

"Your team’s Wang Ke is just as good as Bai Xue," the coach from Shunde Middle School watched more and more apprehensively. Having one Bai Xue in Sacred Heart Middle School was already frightening, and now there was another Wang Ke. This time in the middle school basketball league, Sacred Heart Middle School was definitely the hot favorite to win the championship.

Ni Shahe verbally agreed, but his heart was full of questions. Although he usually favored Bai Xue, he also paid attention to Wang Ke’s training progress. In this match, Wang Ke’s performance was immaculate, overshadowing the other players on the court.

Zhang Yiyi, being on the court, felt the tremendous pressure from Wang Ke even more acutely. As the only newer on the team, her synergy with the other more experienced players was clearly lacking. The seasoned players, as if they had conspired, always left her on the periphery of the play.

Take, for example, the recent pass. As the primary offensive player of the game, the guard who intercepted the ball was supposed to pass it to her. However, Wang Ke intercepted the pass and drove to the basket alone.

"It’s simply madness," half-way through the match, both Shunde Middle School’s players and Zhang Yiyi saw varying levels of physical exhaustion, but the pace of the game hardly slowed.

In the stands, the audience discussed, "Who is number 13 from Sacred Heart Middle School? Is she the well-known Bai Xue in the middle school basketball circles?"

"It’s not Bai Xue; Bai Xue is much taller, at least 1.9 meters, while that girl looks to be only about 1.75 meters. But she jumps really high. Look at that rebound just now; she almost touched the board. For a girl, that’s really incredible," the ments from the audience drifted intermittently to Xiao Xian’s ears.

Along with the astonishing performance of Wang Ke was the steadily increasing score on the court. Thanks to her singularly incredible performance, there was now a gap of nearly fifty points on the scoreboard. The Shunde Middle School players had ashen faces, with physical and mental pressures pushing them close to collapse. Things weren’t much better for Sacred Heart Middle School; even the seasoned players now realized Wang Ke’s astonishing performance, as the pace of this game was twice as fast as their usual training.

Zhang Yiyi was drenched in sweat, she looked up at the scoreboard. Sacred Heart Middle School’s points were nearly hitting the triple digits, which brought some clarity to her consciousness.

Her limbs felt like they were being pulled out of the water, barely able to lift her feet, "Triple digits, that’s something you see in NBA fast-paced games. pared to Wang Ke, I’m just a good-for-nothing," Zhang Yiyi’s nose stung with emotion, standing beneath the basketball hoop.

As Wang Ke ran energetically, the cheers from the sidelines and the players around her made her pletely lose herself, "Bai Xue, you’re lucky. If you were on the court today, I would definitely let you know who the real dominator is."

Wang Ke looked at the basketball hoop, and in the position where Bai Xue often stood, she saw Zhang Yiyi, drenched in sweat with a dejected expression, and finally found a target. Wang Ke could feel her blood boiling as if she were a leopardess ready to rip apart any prey in her way.

"Hmph, this is the newer the coach thinks highly of? What a joke, when I first joined the team, I didn’t even get a spot on the bench in my first match. You think you’re favored, I will show you what it’s like to lose face," Wang Ke sprinted towards the basketball hoop, with the players from Shunde Middle School following closely behind.

"Watch out, don’t let her shoot," gritted the captain of Shunde Middle School, barely squeezing out a few words.

Dribbling, getting past players, feints, juking out—Wang Ke made a leaping move, and everyone thought she would plete a lay-up.

"Catch it," Wang Ke’s next move totally caught Zhang Yiyi off guard. It wasn’t until the orange basketball’s wind brushed her face and a muffled sound hit her head that Zhang Yiyi’s body tilted backward. The uneven surface of the basketball pounded on Zhang Yiyi’s head, and before she could even make a basic protective move, she was thrown backward.

Wang Ke’s deliberate throw, packed with double the force and incredible speed, was like the impact of a motorbike crash. Unprepared, Zhang Yiyi flew backward. With her head pointing downward, her eyes still held unfaded disappointment. That ball, how could she have not caught it? In her first match, she hadn’t even scored.

What a regret. Zhang Yiyi’s hands were still posed to catch the ball, and the ceiling of the gymnasium turned into a vast sky. She felt like a bird, a bird with broken wings. "Dad, I’m sorry," was the only thought that flickered through Zhang Yiyi’s mind before crashing.

In order to thank the editor for the hard work of applying for remendations, I’ll strive for four updates this week.

As a new author who joined this year, with the previous performance not much to speak of, I can only exchange remendations for higher visibility through diligence.

Counting this Chapter released at dawn, I’ve written fifteen thousand words today. This is nothing pared to many veteran authors, but it’s a limit for me, and I have luckily managed to get through it safely.

Normally, I have to work from Monday to Saturday, so the update times might be a bit unstable. If there are any typos or errors, please forgive me in advance, as I will correct them upon noticing.

Since a visible number of remendation votes can ensure continued support, Fu Zi can stay motivated for regular updates,

so I ask you to cast a remendation ticket when you read the story. I can only ask for help in the Chapters of VIP. After all, those who care and can help Fu Zi, are all of you. Thank you.
