Fan Ha couldn't help but worry for her elder sister, sothing not once did she ever have to do.
Possessing a treasure bone of a flood dragon brought great repercussions with it, repercussions that her elder sister more than likely knew about it, yes she still went along with it.
Fan Ha couldn't help but wonder with worry if her elder sister was forced into using the treasure bone.
Her mind kept going to the sa thing.
How did she end up with the flood dragon's treasure bone?
Yang Qing seemingly seeing through her thoughts and worries, replied,
"She more than likely got it from a mysterious figure. ifeng doesn't know who, but she more than likely chose to use it out of her own free will and whoever it was that gave it her, she trusted the person since she even gave a piece of what was left over to her disciple, the fire alder bear.
I don't think she would have done that if the source of that treasure bone was from a dubious entity.
While I'm not too sure who it was, but from the clues around, I don't think that person was suspect. You can find comfort in that," Yang Qing said as his mind flashed to the scene of the mysterious figure who walked in on them when he was with ifeng enjoying wine and scallops.
That mysterious figure from the mont he appeared, Yang Qing could imdiately tell he was a powerful figure. From the way he walked in on them without Yang Qing sensing anything, to how he so casually drew the purest form of yin-dense spiritual qi from the air and fused it into ifeng's pond, creating a blessed treasure ground for her cultivation in the process or to how he casually gifted Yang Qing wine that was stored in Empyrean Jade wood, from the Empyrean Jade Tree, a wonderous jade tree that was only below the Ten thousand dao lead world jade tree of the Jade Leaf Empire.
There was also the guess that Yang Qing had in his heart after interacting with him which was that mysterious figure was likely the owner of the sword embryo that was using the flas from a bifang niao egg to refine itself.
Everything tied to that mysterious figure subverted common sense, and if anyone were to casually gift soone a treasure bone from a flood dragon, Yang Qing believed it to be that figure.
By that mysterious figure's admission, it wasn't his first ti in the Deer Mountain Range. Maybe when he was last there, he t with Fan Ha's sister, or Lady Gild as ifeng called her, and gave her the treasure bone.
The treasure bone of a food dragon might be considered a precious treasure but it was no more precious than the wine jar he gifted Yang Qing.
Soone who could casually gift such a wine jar on first eting soone could easily do so with a treasure bone.
Fan Ha quickly picking up on Yang Qing's nuance as he spoke, didn't hesitate to ask,
"Might you perhaps know who it was?"
"I'm not all too certain and is just a guess at the mont, which may never get proven other than by the person himself or your sister.
But if it is who I think it is, then you have nothing to worry about. I doubt whether such a figure would have ill intentions against your sister.
If you have ti to visit the Deer Mountain Range, you should visit ifeng then you'll understand what I an,"
Fan Ha looked like she had more questions, but in the end, she shelved them, a nostalgic sigh escaping her lips as she thought about the Deer Mountain Range.
"For countless years I've thought of going back, but countless tis I couldn't. Sha, pride, and other things kept away, and now...." Fan Ha paused as her eyes fell on Fan Cai, then ng Jiayi, moving over to Xie Yuan, filtering through to Li Tian and Yu Hui before finally settling on the table before her.
"A lot of things have changed. I'm not the sa person from back then, and I doubt the Deer Mountain Range is the sa," she added with a sigh.
"Yes so things do change as is expected with ti, but others remain the sa, an indelible mark of what was and still is," said Yang Qing as the mory of the two Bi Xie statues he saw at the capital of the Deer Mountain Kingdom flashed in his mind.
The two statues could be the sa two statues that gave rise to the Bi Xie Empire, a powerful empire that existed hundreds of thousands of years ago and had the sa renown as the present-day Jade Leaf Empire.
Those two statues are likely survivors, and reminders of what the ground below them likely held.
Because of them, the echoes of the Bi Xie Empire survived to date.
"I think you should go back and bring Fan Cai with you. You might be surprised to find the answers and things you always sought were always there.
Who knows, even if you don't find it, at the very least it wouldn't hurt. Besides I think it would be safer for you to recover there than other places if you still wish to do so," said Yang Qing as he cast a aningful gaze toward Fan Ha.
"You noticed?" She asked mildly surprised.
"It's hard not to. I think maybe he is the only one who wouldn't," Yang Qing said as his eyes darted toward Fan Cai who was once again lost in his thoughts as he drumd his thumbs together.
"Do you intend to tell him?" asked Yang Qing.
Fan Ha's realm was at the eighth stage of the palace realm but there was a frailty within it that Yang Qing sensed the instant she walked into the room.
Seeing Fan Cai instantly answered the question as to the source of that frailty. His cultivation base was the giveaway.
With Fan Ha's admission, Yang Qing could now confirm that Fan Cai was likely born with his present cultivation base and it was likely not through natural ans.
His mother had likely sacrificed a part of herself when she was nurturing him in her womb to give him that strength and what she sacrificed was more than likely her hearts.
How many hearts did she sacrifice, Yang Qing wasn't too sure, but what he was certain of was of the four hearts Fan Cai had, there was a high chance the majority was from his mother. Otherwise, that frailty would not be there.
Yang Qing had seen and read of sothing like this. Spirit beasts on occasion sacrifice a part of themselves to nurture their offspring to ensure they are born with the best possible advantages. Like in Fan Cai's case, four hearts already unlocked, and a core formation cultivation base.
With how much he looked like he resented his mother and felt like she was neglectful, he more than likely didn't know the sacrifice she made for him.
"Knowing him, it's better not to. He would fuss over it and brood. I'd rather not," Fan Ha said with a lightheartedness in her tone.
Yang Qing was tempted to ask if ng Jiayi was Fan Cai's father but ultimately decided against it. As curious as he was, that was her personal matter.
"As you have already guessed I intend to use your sister in the negotiation and it isn't just to help you or Fan Cai or the Starlight Lake Sect but it is also for the Yu clan," Yang Qing said as his eyes fell slightly on Yu Hui.
"If your sister finds out you sold yourself to them, what would be her reaction to the Yu Clan but not only them but also the Starlight Lake Sect?
Sacrificing your life, however noble carries considerable risks to all sides.
So I beg your understanding as I will have to reveal so things about your sister here, so all parties can understand what it is they're dealing with,"
Fan Ha paused slightly as her look turned solemn at Yang Qing's hypothesis. As soone who knew her sister well, as gentle and patient as she was, she was also extrely dangerous.
She could only imagine what would happen to the Yu Clan but more than that the Starlight Lake Sect. Both would not escape her ire and she wasn't sure she would be able to cool her down once she decided to act.
With resignation, she answered,
"Fine."
Yang Qing nodded in gratitude. Their whole discussion had been via voiceless transmission and took no more than a minute.
While the rest guessed they were likely discussing sothing, it wasn't long enough for them to wonder what.
"Now then, we should bring this matter to a close with all facts being laid on the table.
As the diator I will not impose my thoughts on any party, you're all free to choose what's best for you, my role here is to rely advice.
You can choose to ignore it or follow it. You all have the freedom of that choice without fear of reprisal," Yang Qing said, once again bringing the attention of the whole room to him.
The air seed to turn tense and heavy, especially for Yu Hui who didn't believe whatever 'advice' Yang Qing had would bode well for them.
He could already imagine his ancestor's disappointed face and the other elders' sneery comnts highlighting his incompetence on the matter despite knowing full well they couldn't do better.
