Li Gang softly cleared his throat to bring the focus of the auction house back to him.

Like the skilled showman he was, Li Gang paused to build up the mont before finally delivering the next part, which was what most within the room were eagerly waiting for. The alchemists in the room likely already knew what he was going to say. Yang Qing did too, though for him it was less about his understanding of alchemy and more to do with his Dao of Life, coupled with his physique and Purple-grade art, which gave him extre sensitivity to the flow of life and its characteristics.

True to form, after the deliberate pause had raised the excitent and anticipation even further, Li Gang continued.

"This cauldron brewed a middle-tier Gold-grade pill," he said, his calculating eyes and his smile growing ever deeper as murmurs and gasps of surprise rippled through the room.

"Though the pill successfully passed the tribulation it triggered, alas, this cauldron did not," he said, his eyes adopting a mournful look as though he were mourning a kin. With how mournful he appeared, one would think that the cauldron had been his and had accompanied him throughout his entire life, all the way from his childhood to his present age.

Yang Qing snorted in contempt while inwardly taking notes, committing every single one of Li Gang’s mannerisms to heart for later review.

Gently patting the cauldron on its side, as though saying goodbye to an old friend while eulogizing him to friends and family, Li Gang’s smile adopted an air of both sadness and appreciation.

"Though the cauldron held on, and we can see it has," he said, gently patting the side that bore no crack, "it was not enough. It was unable to completely endure all the effects of the tribulation, rendering it inoperable. Potions and pills can never be brewed with it again," he said solemnly.

"But even though it can never be used to brew anything, that does not an its journey of guiding and helping on the Dao of Alchemy has ended. As you can see, its spirit is very much there, even though its body is not," he said passionately, pointing to the ethereal golden light. That light carried within it an aura of vibrancy and vastness, suffused with the profound power of the Grand Dao.

"Whether you are an alchemist or not, studying this light born from the energy released when the pill successfully transcended its tribulation into a middle-tier Gold-grade pill is enough to feed you countless insights and profound truths. It will help pave your path to the Domain Realm and continue serving you even once you have broken through," Li Gang continued, pausing to let his words sink in before moving to what the seller of that item wanted.

"Convenient of you to leave out the part where one has to endure that taboo tribulation aura. It may not harm you, but I wonder how many can concentrate long enough to glean anything from that Dao Light of Ergence? Removing that aura will not be easy either. A seasoned peak Domain expert should be able to do it, though, for safety and to avoid contaminating and ruining the Dao Light of Ergence, having a Soul Formation expert do it would be the safe bet," muttered Yang Qing, offering his envy-filled comntary to an audience of one.

"Still, I cannot believe soone would auction such an item," he added, once his envy and contempt had cleared from his system and his desire to own the cauldron took its place.

Dao Light of Ergence was like the residual reward of the Heavenly Dao upon a successful tribulation. When soone successfully endured their tribulation, their bodies, souls, and spirits would be transford and renewed by the "light of creation and transformation" that was produced from the last aura of the tribulation after the last lightning had fallen and the clouds had cleared.

That light healed all the damage the tribulation caused, and at the sa ti, it was what tamorphosed the cultivator by rging all their achievents into a tangible form within their bodies.

After the restoration and transformation ca the reward: a door leading to an endless flood of insights and exposure to the source origin of all the Daos.

For a certain amount of ti, the light of creation and transformation allowed you access to the vault where all the secrets, transmutations, profound truths, and mysteries of all the Daos were collected.

For Yang Qing, it appeared in the form of an ocean shore that whispered insights and revelations to him through the waves it produced. He felt like he was there for hundreds of years, when in truth he had been there for about three months.

He had heard that ti varied, but generally for Palace Realm experts breaking through, the ti given in that realm was usually one to three months, during which you breathed and lived the Grand Dao. You communed with it face to face, and it was the fruits of that interaction that allowed you to stabilize your cultivation realm.

How much you gained was a byproduct of your own powers of comprehension and understanding. The exposure that place gave was endless. Various cultivation arts, recipes, and crafts had evolved or been born from insights gained during that brief interaction with the source origin.

Yang Qing was a dabbler in talismans. He was not exactly the most skilled at it, but the flood of insights he received from that ocean shore allowed him to play around with them and create talismans that could contain eighty percent of his strength. While it was not exactly a revolutionary achievent, it was still quite an accomplishnt for soone who played with talismans as a hobby.
