Lucian slept soundly. In his dazed state, he felt a warm sensation spreading across his palm.

"Who are you?" an unfamiliar female voice rang in his ear, sounding rather cold.

When Lucian opened his eyes, he was t with the sight of a slightly flustered red-haired woman. She possessed intoxicating crimson eyes and a cascade of dark-red curls. Her figure was athletic and perfectly proportioned.

But the most captivating thing about her was her right eye. It featured a crimson slit pupil that radiated a chilling light, and the skin around it bore red markings, giving her an aura of dangerous allure.

Bzzzt. Lucian's brain short-circuited. Waking up to find a top-tier beauty in his room—what kind of daydream opening was this?

Seeing the panic in the mature beauty's eyes, Lucian shot up and grabbed the blanket to cover himself.

By covering himself, he left her exposed. However, she didn't imdiately try to snatch the blanket back, nor did she even use her hands to cover her body. Instead, she quickly sat up, grabbed a black eyepatch from the nightstand, and covered her right eye and the surrounding skin.

What a sha... The morning grogginess made it hard for him to focus. It felt like her charm dropped by a huge margin after she covered that eye.

What was there to hide about an eye? Seeing her visibly sigh in relief, Lucian couldn't help but feel a bit bewildered.

She calmly put her clothes back on, then turned to look at Lucian, asking once again, "Who are you?"

It was only then that Lucian realized sothing crucial. He clearly didn't know her language, yet he could understand her perfectly. And more importantly... this room was completely unfamiliar!

"Where is this?" Lucian didn't answer, instead blurting out a question of his own.

"You appear in my room, and you're asking where this is?" The red-haired woman laughed in sheer exasperation.

Lucian fell silent. He massaged his temples, forcing himself to calm down.

"My na is Lucian. I have no idea why I'm here either. I just went to sleep normally, and when I opened my eyes, I saw you..." His voice trailed off.

The woman before him was beautiful beyond human limits, and just facing her made Lucian feel a profound sense of nobility radiating from her very being.

Did I... just get isekai'd?

"Who are you?" she asked again, having cald down as well, for she could easily tell whether a mortal was lying or not.

"I'm Lucian. Just an otaku from across the pond," he answered.

"Hephaestus." After a mont of silence, she finally answered his earlier question. "My na is Hephaestus, and this is Orario."

Hephaestus? The Greek Goddess of Forging? Combined with the city na 'Orario,' Lucian was instantly certain. He really had crossed over.

Orario, the center of the world. Beneath this very city lay a massive crater that endlessly spawned monsters—the Dungeon, one of the three Great Quests of the world.

"It seems you've heard my na. That makes things easier." Hephaestus watched his expression, raising an eyebrow. "Are you absolutely sure you don't know how you ended up in my room?"

"Positive!" Lucian answered firmly.

Even though he knew he had transmigrated, he hadn't the faintest clue how it actually happened.

As Hephaestus fell into deep thought, Lucian looked around but couldn't find his own clothes. Since he had crossed worlds, he wasn't too worried about going to jail. Moreover, Hephaestus was a benevolent god; once she confird this wasn't intentional, she wouldn't kill him. The only thing he had to be careful of was making sure her Familia didn't find out.

A deity was one thing, but her Familia was another. How could a mortal like him possibly fight a seasoned adventurer? If he got beaten to death in an alternate world where strength ruled all, he'd only have himself to bla. He wouldn't even live long enough to see a prison cell.

What exactly is going on here? Hephaestus pondered.

Lucian wasn't lying. Furthermore, the language he was speaking wasn't Koine, nor was it the divine language. It was sothing completely foreign. Without exaggerating, it was a simple fact that she had comprehended the vast majority of the lower world's knowledge back in Heaven. She certainly hadn't expected to encounter a language she didn't recognize.

An unknown language, suddenly appearing in her room without any prior warning... Thinking of this, a possibility surfaced in Hephaestus's mind.

"Are you from another world?" she asked.

She looked at Lucian, catching his look of pure shock.

Just as I suspected. She had pieced together a rough understanding of the situation.

Being a deity, Hephaestus was fully aware that other worlds existed. In fact, much of Heaven's knowledge and inside jokes actually originated from them. It was just that gods rarely left their own realm. After all, other worlds had their own gods or equivalent entities, and they generally maintained a policy of non-interference.

Furthermore, dying in this world just ant respawning after ten thousand years. But dying in another world? That ant true, permanent death. Therefore, they mostly stuck to observation rather than intervention.

Hephaestus had a theory about Lucian's sudden arrival. So sort of cosmic accident had occurred, silently plucking the boy from his world and dropping him into this one—and right into her bedroom, of all places. It was an incredible coincidence, almost like fate.

Realizing this, her anger faded completely.

Speaking of which, this child saw my eye. What kind of expression did he make back then? Was it... awe?

Thinking back on it, Hephaestus felt her face flush slightly. The gods of this world were born from inherent rules; their appearances were set from birth and could not be altered. Just like how Zeus looked like an old man and Hera appeared as a little girl—a sight that truly made one want to call the authorities.

Hephaestus's right eye, and the skin surrounding it, weren't exactly pretty. It was a kind of divine brand. It wasn't hideously ugly by any ans, but because of her honest and serious nature, she had been ruthlessly mocked by the other drama-loving gods. Over ti, it had given her a deep-seated inferiority complex.

So children in her Familia had seen her eye out of sheer curiosity, but their reactions had always been the sa—fear. In truth, the brand wasn't ugly, but it carried an innate, overwhelming aura of intimidation.

Because Lucian had been utterly bewildered when he first woke up, he had completely bypassed that intimidation. Coupled with the fact that he ca from the information age, his capacity to accept the bizarre far exceeded that of anyone in this world, resulting in a completely different reaction. While others viewed her eye with preconceived notions and dread, Lucian's gaze had been remarkably pure.

For Hephaestus, this felt like a second stroke of fate.

"Are you... interested in becoming my child?" she asked, looking him up and down.

His physical health didn't seem great, but he was handso enough, radiating an air of complete innocence. He had no calluses on his hands, and his aura was relatively clean—he probably hadn't even slaughtered a chicken in his life. He likely ca from a peaceful environnt, grew up in a comfortable ho, and possessed a rich inner world.

He barely passes the mark.

"Wait, seriously?" Hearing this, Lucian froze for a second before joy washed over him. His brain short-circuiting once again, he dramatically proclaid, "I, Lucian, have wandered half my life waiting for a master! If my lady will have , I pledge myself to you as my godmother!"

Hephaestus stared. Are you out of your mind?!
