"Ga Board."
[Party Mode: Activated]
[Map: Activated. Minimap: Activated. Party Voice Chat: Activated. Faction Status: Activated.]
On the stairs leading into the Dungeon, the mbers of the two great Familias ford their ranks. Soon after, the connection functions created by Lucian appeared in their minds. They had been running drills over the past few days. The commanders of the two Familias had devised new thods of command, and they were about to test and adjust them in actual combat within the Dungeon.
They had to admit, Lucian's magic was incredibly useful. Even though they had practiced with it, the mbers of the two Familias couldn't help but marvel at it once more. The map and faction systems completely stripped the monsters of any places to hide. That alone was profoundly impressive. Lucian was positioned in the center of the formation. Beside him was the healer squad, placing them right at the core where they would be heavily protected.
"MOVE OUT!!"
With that single command, everyone broke into a sprint. Maintaining a steady pace and formation, they could imdiately notice if any section fell slightly out of line. For a commander, it was an exhilarating feeling—almost like using a cheat code. Charging forward relentlessly while constantly tweaking their formation, they quickly arrived at the 17th floor.
As it happened, Goliath was still there. Perhaps knowing that the two great Familias were embarking on an expedition, the adventurers on the 17th floor hadn't gathered to subjugate it. Under the command of the two Familias, it only took a few monts to slay Goliath. To train the rookies, high-level adventurers generally wouldn't lift a finger against lower-level monsters like this. Even so, the massive Magic Stone at Goliath's core was left perfectly intact. This proved that even while holding back, they had defeated Goliath with absolute ease.
"I'll hold onto this Magic Stone."
Lucian stepped forward and stowed it away. The Magic Stones of giant monsters were massive. Goliath's was nearly three ters tall; dragging it around would be incredibly inconvenient. In the past, the two Familias would always hand these off to the residents of Rivira on the 18th floor, forced to sell them at a steep discount. Their marching pace was so relentless that they didn't even need to pause and recover upon reaching the 18th floor. They simply kept heading deeper. anwhile, Lucian cast a glance toward the east. He knew there was a door over there—and behind that door lay the thousand-year darkness of Orario.
I'll deal with that on the way back.
Lucian decided internally. Evening soon arrived. The group successfully subjugated Amphisbaena, the Floor Boss that road the 25th through 27th floors. They stopped at the safe zone on the 28th floor, setting up camp there for the night.
Amphisbaena was sowhat unique. It wasn't a monster you were guaranteed to encounter; rather, it road freely across those three floors. This was where Lucian's map function proved exceptionally useful. The two Familias had tracked it down directly and eliminated it. Not only that, but because Lucian possessed a spatial storage function, the two Familias excitedly scoured the area for the Dungeon's exclusive resources.
On the 25th to 27th floors, even the seaweed growing on the walls held so dicinal value. Even if the individual value was low, it still added up to a fortune in large quantities. They looked eager enough to scrape a layer off the walls. Generally speaking, expeditions into the Deep Levels were far from profitable—they easily resulted in a net loss. The consumption of weapons and potions, logistical costs... Not to ntion, the Magic Stones and drop materials obtained from defeated monsters couldn't always be transported back up. The overhead was massive. Finally catching a rare opportunity to make big money, the two Familias went absolutely crazy.
"Yo, handso. Feeling nervous?"
After dinner, soone slapped Lucian on the shoulder. A boisterous female voice rang out beside him. "Tomorrow, we're pushing straight to the 37th floor in one go. The atmosphere down there is pretty suffocating."
"Our goal is below the 70th floor, right?" Lucian replied calmly. "The 37th floor is just a transitional phase. There's nothing to worry about."
"True enough. Your magic is way too convenient; it makes ambushes practically impossible." Hearing his response, the Empress couldn't help but sigh in admiration. "It's so nice. This is the first ti I've ever felt that a Dungeon expedition could be this exhilarating, without needing to walk on eggshells the whole ti."
"Don't get too careless. Magic isn't omnipotent. Who knows, there might be a monster out there that won't show up on the map and manages to land a sneak attack." Lucian shook his head. "It's better to stay cautious."
"Haha, you make a good point." The Empress laughed out loud before adding, "Speaking of which, you've been an adventurer for less than a month, right, little bro?"
"About twenty days."
Lucian replied casually.
"So, can you forge?"
The Empress asked curiously.
"I'm decent at it," Lucian said. "At the very least, I don't have a problem forging a standard magic sword."
Huh? You're only Level 1, and you can already forge magic swords? Is it similar to the Crozzo family? Does he have Spirit blood in his veins?
The Empress speculated as she continued chatting with Lucian. The more they talked, the more mysterious Lucian felt to her. Even though he wasn't physically strong, he attracted her in a completely different way. Of course, the Empress didn't harbor any 'romantic' feelings for Lucian at the mont. After all, Amazons liked 'strong' n, not mysterious ones. She just found him quite interesting.
anwhile, as Lucian absentmindedly humored the Empress, he calculated his gains for the day. Over the course of the day, traveling from the entrance of the Dungeon down to the 28th floor, he had accumulated an astonishing two hundred plus experience points. Naturally, Lucian hadn't shared his experience point system. While doing so would maximize the overall benefits, the Zeus Familia and Hera Familia were ultimately outsiders—not to ntion that Lucian's own experience gains would drop significantly. Anyway, operating under the Falna system, gaining 'Excelia' was enough for them. That was how they had always done things.
Over two hundred points... I should be able to get even more.
The monsters on the upper floors didn't provide much experience, and they had wasted quite a bit of ti on the road. The deeper they went, the stronger the monsters beca, and the higher the experience yield. Tomorrow, he would likely harvest between 200 and 500 attribute points.
I'll invest in potential first, then boost my health and mana bars, followed by Calculation Power. After that, I'll evenly distribute points to my other attributes. Since the human body functions as a single holistic system, strengthening my Magic will naturally increase my ntal power reserves to a degree. Enhancing Endurance improves stamina and defense, while boosting Constitution affects both Strength and Agility...
Regardless, by the end of this expedition, he absolutely had to level up to Level 2. As the primary support constantly maintaining the Ga Board, Lucian would also receive a portion of the 'Excelia', aside from his own experience points. The essence of Lucian's experience point system was devouring a living creature's 'Origin', whereas Excelia was the materialization of concepts like 'defeating an enemy'. A party had its own way of calculating 'Excelia'. By the end of this expedition, leveling up was an absolute certainty. With that thought in mind, Lucian ignored the Empress's ceaseless chatter beside him and returned to his tent to sleep.
"This guy... did he seriously just ignore ?"
The Empress stared at Lucian's retreating back, finding the situation rather novel. What lower-level adventurer didn't freeze up in anxiety when they saw the Empress, terrified of saying the wrong thing? None of them would dare ignore her like Lucian just had. However, the Empress wasn't angry. After all, Lucian truly had the qualifications to ignore her. They weren't superiors and subordinates; they were collaborators. One could even say that he alone possessed the qualifications to collaborate with the entirety of the Zeus Familia and Hera Familia!
