"Yoo-hoo, I'm here. Did you miss , darling~?" Bheara teleported into the Divine Court, smiling and waving her hand.
"What kind of act are you pulling now?" Lucian asked, speechless.
"I'm already yours, so what's wrong with calling you 'darling'?" Bheara said righteously.
Co to think of it, that logic held true. After all, engraving a mark on a divine soul, even if just for convenience, was sothing even married couples would hesitate to do.
"Right, did you call here for this little cutie?" Bheara bent down, flashing Ais a bright smile. "So, who might you be?"
She had seen through Lucian's purpose and Ais's condition at a single glance. Although she appeared frivolous on the surface, she was actually just trying to liven up the atmosphere so that Ais wouldn't remain drowned in her sorrow.
"I want her to beco an adventurer." Lucian once again explained Ais's identity.
"I see. I agree to it." Bheara agreed briskly, looking at Ais with a beaming smile. "Let's engrave your Falna, little cutie~"
"What do I need to do?" Ais asked in confusion.
"Take off your clothes, of course." Bheara flashed a wicked grin.
"Okay." Ais nodded, then straightforwardly began undressing.
"Just your top is fine," Bheara said, before whispering into Lucian's ear. "This kid is seriously lacking so common sense."
"Look at how old she is." Lucian rolled his eyes and said, "I'll leave that part of her education up to you."
Ais had reached Level 3 by the ti she was nine. Leveling up once a year ant she beca an adventurer at the tender age of seven. She was simply too young and hadn't had the ti to be properly taught.
"Okay, leave it to . I love little cuties like her the most~" Bheara replied, then proceeded to engrave the Falna onto Ais's back.
Level 1
Strength: I0
Endurance: I0
Dexterity: I0
Agility: I0
Magic: I0
Magic: [Ariel]
Ariel
· Super short-chant magic. Cloaks the user in wind, enhancing attack, defense, speed, and granting short-distance flight capabilities.
· Output power can be adjusted through 2 different incantations.
· Incantations: "Awaken", "Tempest"
Skill: Avenger
· Active trigger.
· High-tier attack enhancent against all monster-type enemies.
· Super-tier enhancent against dragon-type monsters.
· Enhancent effect scales with the degree of hatred. The stronger the animosity, the greater the effect.
"How luxurious. As expected of a hero's daughter," Bheara couldn't help but marvel aloud.
Ais only had one Magic Slot, so she couldn't beco a professional mage. As an enchantnt type, the most suitable combat path for her magic was that of a magic swordsman. The Avenger skill was the true manifestation of Ais's talent. This skill had an 'Active trigger' characteristic, aning it functioned as both an active and passive skill.
The passive aspect was the super-tier enhancent against monsters and dragon species. It was the reason why Ais, at Level 1, could run down to the 11th and 12th floors alone and slay several Infant Dragons. Later on, by utilizing her magic, she had even killed a Wyvern with a potential threat level defined as Level 4 while still at Level 1. Even if a monster's potential threat level was generally considered one level lower than an adventurer's equivalent, that Wyvern was a black monster spawned by divine power—equivalent to a Black Enhanced Species.
In other words, relying solely on this skill, Ais defeated a monster three levels higher than herself. And that was just the passive effect. When actively triggered, Avenger would resonate with her magic, Ariel, forming an overwhelmingly powerful combination attack: Black Wind.
The downside was that the technique was too potent. Even weapons with unbreakable attributes couldn't bear the load, resulting in fractures and cracks. Furthermore, because the skill originated from Ais's desire for revenge, activating it would erode her mind. Since Ais's mind was currently fragile and her parents' deaths had driven her to extres, she wouldn't be able to fully control it right now.
"Well?" Bheara looked at Lucian.
Enchantnt magic placed a heavy burden on the body. At her age, it was highly likely she would overuse it and damage her own physical and ntal health. Therefore, in the original story, Loki never even told Ais she possessed magic.
However, Lucian's Ga Board function was incredibly convenient. He directly activated the Hero's Aptitude panel. With this, he had the ability to watch over Ais at any ti. In critical monts, he could even actively take control of her during combat. Coupled with the fact that the Divine Court housed the Spring of Life, no matter how high the physical toll, a soak in the spring every night would nd all exhaustion and hidden injuries. He figured she would be able to reach Level 2 much faster than she did in the original tiline.
"Imprint the stats onto parchnt," Lucian said after a mont of thought. "No need to translate it. This child probably doesn't know Koine yet."
The language people used a thousand years ago was Hieroglyphs. At that ti, writing hadn't splintered into Koine; they directly used the language of the Gods. In the original story, when Ais joined the Loki Familia and filled out her information at the Guild, she used Hieroglyphs.
"I know that. Do you take for a fool?" Bheara transcribed the status onto a piece of parchnt and handed it to Ais. "Here, these are your stats."
Looking at the data in front of her, Ais's gaze landed on the magic section, staring at it intently.
"Wind..." she murmured, then recited the incantation. "Awaken."
A gentle breeze slowly wrapped around her body.
"This is Mother's power..." Tears welled up in Ais's eyes once more. "...You've always... been by my side...!"
It was that gentle presence of her mother she used to feel all the ti.
"Was this also within your expectations?" Bheara asked with a smile.
"Who knows~" Lucian replied with a light smile.
In the original story, Ais grew up in the Loki Familia. Although she had a great relationship with executives like Riveria and felt a sense of family, the feeling of 'companions' and 'school' was also deeply ingrained. On one hand, family is irreplaceable, and the executives couldn't possibly harbor the exact sa affection for Ais as biological parents would. On the other hand, the Loki Familia executives were adventurers at the peak of their careers. They couldn't give her the sa level of constant attention as ordinary parents.
These environntal factors were also part of the reason Ais beca the 'Doll Princess.' To put it bluntly, a bunch of rough-and-tumble fighters had no idea how to raise a child. Even though Riveria was already eighty or ninety years old at the ti, she was an unwed maiden with zero experience in raising a child.
Certainly, awakening her magic might cause Ais to hurt herself. But Ais's magic was incredibly special. Its essence was Spirit power, and its very existence would provide Ais with a small asure of comfort.
The people in the Loki Familia were simply too logical. Even Loki herself always approached emotional matters with rationality, completely failing to see things from a child's perspective. For a child her age, what truly mattered wasn't strength, but companionship. And coincidentally, that was exactly what an ordinary Familia couldn't provide.
A Familia and a true family were, in the end, fundantally different... Watching this scene unfold, Lucian felt a sense of enlightennt dawn within him.
