Although her attack power was incredibly strong, Ais's armor was light and didn't cover her entire body. It didn't take long for Ais to be completely drenched in blood.
"Even if you hate monsters, if you fight by trading blows, how many can you actually kill?" Lucian spoke up. "Gracefully dodge the monster's attack, and then counterattack—Albert's swordplay shouldn't be limited to just this level, right?"
As Lucian's tone grew deliberately aggravating, Ais's gaze hardened. If it were normal instruction, Ais might not have taken it very seriously. But the mont Albert was ntioned, Ais instantly snapped to absolute focus.
"Don't you dare look down on my father!!" Ais roared, nimbly dodging a monster's attack imdiately after.
It took only a single sentence for her to shift from a wildly charging berserker into an agile assassin, slaughtering monsters with light, graceful footwork.
How simple-minded. Lucian chuckled softly. People say Ais was incredibly stubborn as a child... They clearly just didn't use the right thod. A little provocation works much better than a lecture, doesn't it?
There was no denying it—Ais's talent was truly terrifying. In just a short mont, she had completely grasped how to truly fight. From her movents alone, one could already see the elegance of the future Sword Princess.
Even though the price was being bathed in blood, gasping for breath, burning through her stamina, and suffering a severe drop in her physical condition.
"Your swordplay shouldn't drain this much stamina, right?" Lucian asked. "Or did your father not teach you to conserve your energy when fighting monsters?"
Ais gritted her teeth, then indignantly began to adjust her stance and condition.
After a full ten minutes, Ais couldn't help but feel dizzy and lightheaded—a result of heavy blood loss combined with imnse stamina drain. Looking at the horde of monsters that hadn't diminished in the slightest, a flash of frustration crossed Ais's eyes.
"You can't fight anymore." Lucian stated.
"I can still..." Ais gritted her teeth, wanting to argue back.
But looking at the overwhelming sea of monsters surrounding them, Ais felt a wave of powerlessness wash over her. She couldn't force out any more stubborn words.
"What should you do at a ti like this?" Lucian asked.
"I... I don't know." Ais shook her head, looking up at Lucian.
"The spring in the center of the Divine Court is called the Spring of Life. It can restore injuries, stamina, and ntal energy." Lucian explained, "At tis like this, you need to recover your strength before you keep fighting. The monsters here will endlessly respawn. Their numbers will never decrease. Don't forget that your goal in fighting is to get stronger. Forcing yourself to slaughter monsters when you're in no condition to fight is just a waste of ti."
Realization dawned on Ais; she understood what she needed to do next. She thought for a mont before noticing a function button in her line of sight.
With a re thought to activate it, a flash of light enveloped Ais, and she vanished from her spot. Being able to easily return to the center of the Divine Court from anywhere—it was a fixed coordinate.
Lucian also vanished in a flash of light, returning to the Divine Court just in ti to see Ais practically dive headfirst into the Spring of Life.
"Nn~"
The blood slightly diffused into the water before being instantly purified. Her wounds rapidly healed as the spring's life force surged into her body, making her involuntarily let out a soft groan of comfort.
"Is she going to be okay?" Bheara appeared beside Lucian. Having an overhead perspective of the map, she had naturally watched Lucian and Ais's performance in the Colosseum.
"Constantly cycling between the Spring of Life and the Colosseum... Even if her physical and ntal energy are healed and she adapts to the high pressure, the sheer exhaustion on her soul won't just vanish."
"It's fine for now," Lucian replied. "Right now, her pressure stems entirely from her emotions. Once she vents all of that out and the repetitive monster slaughter starts feeling chanical, we'll move on to a new lesson."
"A new lesson?" Bheara asked curiously.
"I'm going to find her a teacher." Lucian continued, "Although I threw her directly onto the battlefield for so wild, hands-on training, I can't raise her entirely like this. She needs to learn combat techniques and she needs to learn how to think. Wild, instinctual training alone won't cultivate a proper combat mindset."
As for Ais's teacher, Lucian already had the perfect candidate in mind. Was there anyone more suitable than Alfia? In the original story, when Ais faced Alfia, her swordplay was copied at a single glance, and her weapon was snatched away, leaving her jumping mad with anxiety.
Even soone with Ais's monstrous talent found Alfia utterly terrifying. Add to that Alfia's temperant, and she could absolutely keep Ais in line.
"Sounds pretty good." Bheara smiled. "It really is never boring being around you."
"Once we lock onto a new world, there will be even more fun in the future," Lucian said, before changing the subject. "Are you done with your work? How is the arrangent of the starry sky coming along? Can the Queen of Winter forge a sun and a sea of stars?"
"Don't underestimate ," Bheara said confidently. "I'll show you my results when the ti cos. Try not to be too shocked."
"Keep up the good work then." Lucian smiled, then returned to the Colosseum to begin refining its rules.
Only the first floor of the Colosseum was fully completed. The other floors still needed to be constructed. Using the Monster Rex templates for the bosses of each floor would suffice. The Level 8 Tartarus was already enough to build up to the eighth floor. The first floor would feature the Enhanced Infant Dragon, the second floor the Enhanced Giant Serpent, the third floor the Enhanced Lava Giant, and the fourth floor would be Goliath.
From the fourth floor onwards, he could stick to using the Monster Rex as the bosses, matching the current level of the monsters. Although in the Dungeon, a Monster Rex's potential threat level was typically defined as two levels higher than the current floor's standard. But as massive, super-sized monsters, a Monster Rex of the sa level was already inherently stronger than a standard adventurer.
If the Colosseum was set up that way, subjugating a floor boss would be entirely too difficult for people of the corresponding level.
The night passed in the blink of an eye. When the next day arrived and Lucian saw that the two great Familias were ready, he returned to the 60th floor.
"Good morning, Lucian." The Empress's eyes lit up when she saw him appear. She leaned in and asked, "How did you sleep last night?"
"Not bad." Lucian replied. "Rather than worrying about how I slept, you should probably be more interested in my new skill."
"A new skill?" The Empress gave him a blank, sowhat adorable look of confusion.
"Frost Resistance Aura." Lucian snapped his fingers. Centered around him, a layer of soft blue light blood beneath the feet of the surrounding adventurers.
The adventurers, whose bodies had still been feeling a lingering chill, instantly ward up. They stared curiously at their current condition.
"It's a passive aura skill." Lucian explained, "Frost Resistance Aura. Within a one-hundred-ter radius centered on , all allies gain a 30% boost to their frost resistance."
Adventurers already had decently high magic resistance to begin with. With this 30% resistance buff, even if they were dragged into the icy lakes by monsters, they wouldn't freeze to death instantly. Of course, a one-hundred-ter radius was still a bit too small. They would need to adjust their formation and have everyone squeeze closer together.
The most dangerous aspect of the Glacier Territory was its harsh environnt. With this Frost Resistance Aura, they wouldn't have to worry about accidentally falling into an icy lake and being beyond rescue.
Incredibly useful!
