"Sure," Lucian agreed.
"Wait... you agree?!" the Empress gasped in pleasant surprise.
"I don't have any reason to refuse," Lucian chuckled lightly. "You're a gorgeous woman, after all. Have a little more confidence in yourself."
"Well, when you put it like that..." The Empress suddenly looked a bit bashful.
Lucian's attitude toward her had always been rather aloof. It was only after he finished forging her equipnt that his deanor had softened significantly.
Furthermore, most ordinary n felt an overwhelming sense of inferiority when standing before the Empress. Thinking back on it, Lucian had been incredibly composed from the very beginning. He treated everyone with the exact sa calm indifference, never looking up to or down on anyone regardless of their strength or status—let alone showing any signs of an inferiority complex.
Oh no, my heart's beating even faster now! she thought.
"Lucian." Alfia approached them from the side, interrupting their mont. "I feel the seal loosening a bit. I need treatnt. Could you accompany back to the headquarters?"
Lucian couldn't help but feel that Alfia had purposely walked over just to interrupt their conversation. However, she didn't show a hint of emotion on her face. If he were to call her out on it, she would definitely deny it, and he'd probably just end up getting glared at with utter contempt.
For so reason, Lucian felt the urge to laugh. It was a feeling of pure amusent.
No matter the world, strength was always the absolute rule. If he hadn't awakened his cheat-like abilities, he'd probably still be cooped up in the Hephaestus Familia forging iron all day. There was no way he would be this popular otherwise.
"Alright, let's go. It's ti to completely cure your and your sister's terminal illnesses."
After giving the Empress a quick nod of farewell, Lucian activated his teleportation network and brought Alfia directly back to the Hera Familia's headquarters.
"She's back! Lady Alfia is back!!" A voice squeaked like a startled marmot. Imdiately, a large group of girls sward around them, chattering and giggling excitedly in a lively chorus.
"Welco back, my precious child." Hera rushed out to greet them, a massive, affectionate smile plastered across her face.
However, the mont she laid eyes on Lucian, her expression twisted into sothing incredibly complicated and hard to read.
"Go update your Falna first," Lucian instructed. "In a little bit, I'll take the two of you sowhere else to conduct the treatnt."
"Understood," Alfia gave a small nod, then turned to Hera. "Co!"
Without even bothering to greet Lucian, Hera grabbed Alfia's hand and dragged her away, looking extrely eager to see her child's stat updates.
"Welco back, Mr. Lucian."
teria had also appeared in the courtyard. Seeing Lucian, she offered him a gentle, warm smile. "This expedition must have been incredibly exhausting for you."
"It wasn't too bad. I got to see so rather interesting sights," Lucian replied with a light chuckle. "I've already found a thod to completely cure the illness plaguing your body. Once Alfia finishes up, we'll take care of both of your conditions together."
teria froze in stunned silence. Overwheld with emotion, she gently grasped Lucian's hands, her eyes brimming with tears. "Mr. Lucian... were you really thinking of even while you were out on an expedition?"
To be entirely accurate, I was thinking about both you and your sister, Lucian thought to himself.
Looking at teria's flushed cheeks leaning in so closely, taking in the sweet, intoxicating fragrance radiating from her body, and hearing her soft, lodious voice... the soft warmth of her palms completely lted Lucian's heart in an instant.
I'm sorry, Bell. It looks like you might need to find a new mother.
Lucian could clearly tell that teria harbored deep feelings for him. Since the affection was mutual, there was absolutely no reason to let an opportunity like this slip by.
For a brief mont, highly inappropriate, distracting thoughts about a 'double harvest'—claiming both sisters—flooded his mind.
As expected, spending so much ti deep within the Dungeon takes a toll on a man's ntal state. Right now, Lucian found it almost impossible to maintain his focus.
Lucian and teria continued chatting happily. teria seed to have completely forgotten herself; she never let go of his hands, maintaining their intimate physical contact the entire ti.
When Alfia finally returned, she caught sight of the two of them conversing so intimately. For so inexplicable reason, an unprecedented wave of complex emotions welled up within her chest.
The only man she had ever felt her heart flutter for, and the younger sister she loved more than life itself. These two profound sources of joy had co together... so why did it feel so incredibly heartbreaking?
Is this the agonizing pain of a tangled romance?
Alfia genuinely didn't know what to do.
"Well? Did you level up?" Lucian asked as he noticed her approaching.
Hera hadn't followed her out. She was probably too stubborn to show her face in front of him again. To be perfectly honest, Lucian didn't want to see her either. Her personality was far too unlikable, and she was clearly a terrible influence on Alfia.
"Just a little bit short," Alfia shook her head. "But regarding that matter you ntioned earlier... perhaps we should give it a try."
"The Juggernaut?" Lucian asked.
"Down in the Insect Nest, unless we stumble upon a treasure vault guardian, it's virtually impossible to find a monster on par with Hethonia," Alfia stated firmly. "I'm only one step away. Even if it requires taking on so risk, it's absolutely worth it."
Lucian nodded in understanding. "We'll discuss the details after the rest of the team has had ti to rest, readjust, and update their statuses. For now, co with ."
With a wave of his hand, he activated his magic and transported the two sisters directly to the Divine Court.
"Where is... this?" Looking around the utterly foreign environnt, Alfia was montarily stunned.
The sky above was no longer a swirling canvas of vibrant colors; it was now filled with a sea of glittering stars. It was clear that Bheara had been working incredibly hard during this ti and had already finished forging the celestial bodies.
The intricate waterways tracing the ground below gave off an intimately familiar sensation—it was none other than the Spring of Life from Beltane.
"This is my world," Lucian declared. "A pocket dinsion created by , belonging entirely to ."
"Created?" Alfia's mouth parted in sheer disbelief.
She had honestly thought she was already completely desensitized to Lucian's rule-breaking nature. She had believed that no matter what kind of impossible feat he pulled out next, it wouldn't shock her.
But the mont Lucian casually dropped those words, she had to admit—her brain practically short-circuited.
"Of course, this little world can also beco ours." Lucian offered a warm smile, extending one hand toward Alfia and the other toward teria. "Would you like to beco residents of this world?"
"I'd love to!" Without a single second of hesitation, teria bead with delight and eagerly grasped Lucian's hand.
"..." Watching her foolish younger sister's imdiate, eager reaction, Alfia knew that teria had already fallen completely head over heels for him.
The problem was that she found herself entirely unable to refuse. Are we really going to do this together as sisters...? Whatever, what happens, happens.
Adopting an attitude of utter resignation to her fate, Alfia slowly reached out and took Lucian's other hand.
"Welco," Lucian's smile widened as he branded them both with a soul imprint.
The imprint itself was forged from the power of the mind, a direct manifestation of Lucian's spiritual will. This mark would grant them the authority to enter and exit the Divine Court freely, even without Lucian guiding them.
Without this spiritual imprint, any attempt to cross via a teleportation portal would be strictly blocked. It was a foundational rule embedded into the world's fabric, holding the absolute highest priority.
Both Hephaestus and Bheara were fully capable of utilizing their divine power within this realm. Not to ntion, they were constantly contributing to the expansion and refinent of the ntal world's overarching rules, actively perfecting and reinforcing its foundations.
In the future, when facing the boundless multiverse, the absolute defense of this ntal world would be one of their most critical assets.
Following that, Lucian initiated a ritual to reverse their negative skills.
Although Alfia's negative skill shared similarities with the afflictions plaguing the people of Beltane, there was a fundantal difference: the nature of the skill's effects.
A significant reason why Alfia's magic possessed such ga-breaking, overwhelming power was intrinsically tied to this very skill. It was the steep price extracted for her strength.
When Alfia had ntioned earlier that the seal was loosening, she hadn't been exaggerating. It genuinely was coming undone.
This crucial detail was unmistakably evident in the incantation used for Alfia's ultimate magic, Genos Angelus.
