At the bottom of the ravine, the twins were sprawled across the ground with their outer robes covering their naked bodies. The differentiation process had been physically taxing, leaving them drained of all energy.
On top of that, they had to listen to their mother and father’s intimate talk on top of the cliff, so they were not feeling particularly good right now.
Xie Jianyu and Zhang Fengxi landed lightly on the ground, and they both went to each twin to check their condition.
Xie Jianyu lifted Xie Junjie into his arms and checked the latter’s body temperature.
"Junjie, are you alright? You..."
Xie Junjie ekly opened his eyes and looked at his mother. A smile spread across Xie Jianyu’s face when he recognized the strong, offensive pheromones that were now radiating from his son’s body.
"Congratulations on your differentiation into an alpha."
Xie Junjie sighed as he buried his face into Xie Jianyu’s chest.
"That’s a relief," he muttered.
On the other side, Zhang Fengxi lifted his head and bead at Xie Jianyu.
"Sa with Mingrui. We have two new alphas in the family!"
Zhang Mingrui rolled off his father’s embrace and crawled toward Xie Junjie. He then wrapped his arms tightly around his naked twin, separated only by a layer of loose outer robes.
Xie Junjie let out a shriek when Zhang Mingrui held his neck in a chokehold.
"I am so glad," Zhang Mingrui whispered to his twin brother.
"I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want to make you worried, but I was also afraid, Junjie. I was afraid that I would disappoint the entire Longjing Palace if I differentiated into an oga..."
anwhile, Xie Junjie clawed at Zhang Mingrui’s arms in an attempt to draw so air into his lungs.
Zhang Fengxi quickly peeled Zhang Mingrui off Xie Junjie.
"There, there. Alphas are known to be aggressive, but there is no need to kill your twin brother on the day of your differentiation."
"Silly Mingrui."
Xie Jianyu knocked lightly on his eldest son’s forehead.
"We will always love and support you no matter what, you know that. Alphas or ogas, you will always be our most precious children, the apples of our eyes."
Hearing this, the boys’ eyes turned glassy, but they refused to cry. They were no longer children. They must not cry no matter what!
But once the boys were properly clothed, they were smothered in their parents’ embrace one more ti.

"What are you saying, you will always be our little boys," Zhang Fengxi cackled. To further infuriate Zhang Mingrui, he tightened his hold around the tiger teenager and showered his face with tiny kisses.
"Arghhhhhh!!!"
With much difficulty, Xie Junjie and Zhang Mingrui wriggled free from their parents’ arms and fled out of the underground cavity, leaving their giggling parents behind.
Finally alone, Zhang Fengxi pulled Xie Jianyu into a hug and pressed their lips together in a passionate kiss.
"Have I told you today how much I love you, Jianbao?" Zhang Fengxi asked.
Xie Jianyu leaned against Zhang Fengxi’s body and inhaled the latter’s strong, intoxicating scent.
"Hmm, no, not today."
"I love you," Zhang Fengxi readily made up for his negligence. "I love you, Jianbao. I will love you even after the heavenly realm crumbles and the world as we know it ceases to exist."
Xie Jianyu pinched Zhang Fengxi’s chin and pulled him closer for another kiss.
"Hush," he softly chided. "You are not allowed to say such ominous things, you know that."
He then hooked his arms around Zhang Fengxi and let the alpha lie on top of him, pinning him to the ground.
"Hmmmn..."
Without another word, they picked up right where they left off.
After seventeen years of marriage and three children between them, the alpha tiger’s love for the oga dragon had only intensified. Xie Jianyu had beco Zhang Fengxi’s entire world, the anchor that made him feel capable of anything. But right now, there were no drastic asures to be taken, no grand heroic feats required of the supre general.
The world was quiet, the Heavenly Empire was at peace.
The crown prince and crown prince consort were deliriously happy in their union. And forever, they would be.
