Now reading: Chapter 19 19: Growth, Life, Happiness, and from Danmachi : Start With Terraria Calamity Mod!, a Action novel by OPlovers11.

This exploration had taken quite a long ti.

By the ti Drake returned using a Recall Potion, Terraria's ti had already reached the dawn of the following day.

"I didn't expect my first night in Terraria to be spent underground."

Looking at the sunlight outside the window, Drake yawned as exhaustion washed over him like a tide.

Exploring alone was flexible, but it also consud much more ntal energy.

Drake had to stay alert at all tis in a crisis-ridden environnt, on guard against monsters, traps, and every other kind of threat.

Once his gear and strength improved a bit more, he would be able to ignore ordinary monsters altogether.

Before resting, Drake dumped everything from his inventory and Piggy Bank into the chests and started organizing.

First were the three most important jungle materials: Stingers, Vines, and Jungle Spores.

Drake placed those three materials in one corner of the chest by themselves.

Once he finished resting, he would start crafting.

Next ca the herbs and ores he had gathered during the expedition.

Even though this trip had been specifically focused on collecting jungle materials, there was no reason not to grab ore and herbs whenever he saw them.

It was easy enough to pick them up along the way, and leaving them behind would just be a waste.

The rich mineral deposits of the Underground Jungle ant this trip had also produced an excellent haul of ore.

Besides low-tier copper and iron ore, there were also the precious tals gold and silver!

Drake had even discovered Demonite Ore during his exploration.

This purple mineral was extrely rare, and naturally occurring veins of it were uncommon.

Normally, if one wanted to obtain large quantities of Demonite, the only way was to defeat the corresponding boss of the evil bio.

Unfortunately, Drake's iron pickaxe was still too weak to mine ore of that grade.

Still, from that alone, he had managed to infer sothing.

"Since it's Demonite and not Crimtane, the evil bio in this world should be the Corruption."

A Terraria world would only ever generate one type of evil bio.

And the bio boss of the Corruption was the Eater of Worlds.

The title sounded incredibly grand, but in reality it was a giant worm capable of freely moving through dirt and stone!

Scaled to real proportions, its body would be close to a hundred ters long.

Drake found it hard to imagine how he was supposed to face sothing that enormous later on…

In the ga, he could handle it easily, but confronting the actual body of a boss was a completely different matter.

"One step at a ti. I'll have to face it eventually anyway."

Letting out a sigh, Drake thought silently to himself.

The reason "Excellia" were called Excellia was because they were rewards granted for accomplishing challenges so difficult they were almost unimaginable.

If he really could kill one of Terraria's bosses, he wondered what kind of feedback he would get from his Falna.

After that ca the miscellaneous items: mud blocks, dirt blocks, grass seeds, and so on.

Once he had finished sorting all that clutter, Drake took a deep breath and solemnly pulled out a staff.

This staff had a very distinctive appearance. It resembled a huge rose, topped with a pink blossom.

[Staff of Regrowth (Orange): Deals 7 lee damage and possesses the power of growth and harvest.]

Drake stepped outside and casually waved the Staff of Regrowth over the cleared dirt nearby.

The flattened earth imdiately took on a layer of green.

In the blink of an eye, ankle-high grass and flowers of every color sprang up.

Several vividly colored butterflies flew in from the distance and landed among the blossoms, adding a touch of life to the scene.

Even though Drake already knew the effect of the Staff of Regrowth, seeing it happen in person still felt incredibly magical.

By Terraria's rarity scale, orange ca after white, blue, and green.

It generally ant one of the best items obtainable before Hardmode.

The staff's damage was low because it was fundantally a tool, not a weapon.

"Now I can go pretend to be a druid."

Drake fondly played with the staff in his hand, causing the ground around him to turn into lush grass and a garden full of flowers.

"Growth, life, happiness, and… what was the last one again? Never mind, not important."

What was important was that the Staff of Regrowth increased the yield when harvesting herbs!

And it could ignore the usual blooming conditions, directly harvesting both the herb and its seeds from mature plants!

That was a crucial function no other tool could replace.

As one of the rare rewards from a Jungle Shrine chest, the Staff of Regrowth more than lived up to its rarity.

"I can hand this over to Lili later. She's the one managing the herb garden anyway."

Because Lili had little combat ability, and unlike Drake, she couldn't revive infinitely,

Drake generally wouldn't take her anywhere especially dangerous.

Most of the ti, he left her at ho to tend the herb garden and handle miscellaneous work.

The area near the spawn point was relatively safe, after all, and there weren't any especially strong monsters there.

At worst, there were only weaklings like slis.

Even at night, when enemies like zombies and Demon Eyes appeared and actively attacked, all she had to do was shut the door and they would stay outside.

Only after Hardmode began would ordinary monsters capable of passing through walls start to appear.

But by then, with Drake's future strength and accumulated resources, there was no way he'd let ordinary mobs invade his territory.

After finishing up the loot from this expedition, Drake finally lost the battle against his overwhelming fatigue and threw himself onto the bed, falling asleep instantly.

...

By the ti he woke up, the sun of the second day was already outside.

"Master, you're finally awake!"

Lili seed to have been waiting right beside the bed.

The mont Drake sat up rubbing his eyes, she hurried over with water and food.

"What ti is it right now?"

Drake wiped his face with the damp towel Lili handed him and asked.

He had granted Lili permission to freely enter and leave Terraria precisely so he wouldn't miss important events in the main world.

He had prepared so much for the Molten Festival, and had even specifically invited the Sword Princess to attend.

If he ended up sleeping through it after all that, even Hestia would probably laugh at him.

"It's late at night in Orario right now, Master."

Naturally, Lili knew exactly what Drake was worried about, so she answered in detail.

"The Molten Festival won't start until morning. You still have plenty of ti to rest."

"Mm… got it."

Hearing Lili's answer, Drake relaxed a little and rubbed the prum girl's head.

To be fair, although Lili's hair looked a bit ssy, it felt surprisingly nice to the touch—soft and fluffy, almost like cotton.

After a simple "breakfast," Drake rembered what had happened before he went to sleep.

He took out the Staff of Regrowth from his inventory, handed it to Lili, and briefly explained what it did.

"There's really a staff like that?"

After hearing Drake's explanation, Lili suddenly felt as though the staff in her hands had grown incredibly heavy, as if it had been forged from solid gold.

A treasure this valuable would have been extrely rare even in Orario!

By instinct, Lili felt that she didn't deserve to be entrusted with sothing so precious.

She almost refused out of reflex, but in the end she swallowed the words back down.

What replaced them was a firm look in her eyes.

"Master, Lili will take good care of this staff and use it properly!"

"That's good then!"

Drake nodded in satisfaction.

"You've done very well these past two days. Is there any reward you want?"
