In addition, a Goblin fang had dropped, but even these drop items were not worth much valis.
"It's better than nothing, I suppose."
After all, it was his first loot.
Sion put the magic stones and the fangs into his pouch and continued forward.
anwhile, the Hera familia mber following closely behind could not help but question the aning of life.
"The sa type of magic as Lady Alfia... I rember, that guy is not an adventurer, is he?"
He was not an adventurer, yet he could use magic. He was not a demi human/elf, nor did she hear him chanting any incantations.
That ant it was congenital magic that required no chanting!
After teria had asked her for help, she had mocked Sion for overestimating his abilities.
When she rembered, teria had not refuted her, but instead given a strange smile, she couldn't help but sigh.
It seems I was the clown all along.
And... teria had beco mischievous, too.
The thought of the previously gentle teria now acting like a fun seeker, and of herself acting like a clown, filled her with sha.
"Wind Revolving Bullet."
A circular bullet of wind swirled in the air, leaping five ters to sever the heads of two Dungeon Lizards before plunging into the body of a Frog Shooter.
Sion casually supplied the mind.
The tiny revolving bullet burst open..
Erupting from within the monster like.
Dungeon Lizards were monsters that appeared on floors 2 through 4, and like Goblins and Kobolds, they belonged to the lowest tier of monsters.
The Frog Shooter was a one eyed monster that could shoot out its tongue to attack adventurers. It was also one of the rookie killers.
Just thinking about it sent chills down his spine.
"Wind Revolving Bullet looks promising at best," Sion muttered to himself as he continued forward.
He had a control range of eight ters. Beyond this range, his control and precision would decrease.
Once completely out of his control, the revolving bullet would unleash its power according to its elental attribute.
The Fire Revolving Bullet would result in an explosion, while the others would show similar properties like the attack just now.
The Mind expenditure was negligible, far less than the stamina he expended when wielding his sword to slay monsters in close combat.
Compared to his aptitude for magic, Sion wasn't good at physical stuff.
However, his goal in entering the Dungeon today was to get himself familiar with combat as well as blood, so as to avoid freezing up or becoming overly nervous during actual fights.
"Hm?"
Sion paused for a mont, having habitually pulsed his sonar detection.
Sonar Detection was the most basic spell, consuming even less Mind than the magic bullet.
His current strategy of achieving maximum efficiency with minimal Mind consumption was only a precaution.
Because of this continuous scanning, Sion discovered a dark shadow detaching from the wall in a corner of the dungeon after his battle.
The dark figure was rushing toward him at an extrely fast speed.
Having read the monster encyclopedia beforehand, Sion knew that it was a War Shadow.
This monster, which typically appeared on the sixth floor, possessed speed surpassing that of monsters like Goblins, and sharp claws surpassing those of Kobolds.
Its entire body was dark except for a single red eye that glead with cruelty as it charged toward Sion.
"They actually know how to launch a sneak attack."
The monsters on the upper floors lack intelligence, but they still instinctively knew how to ambush.
Sion casually complained, releasing a Shockwave that slamd the approaching War Shadow into the wall.
The impact shattered the monster's body, and a magic stone dropped to the ground.
Sion picked up the magic stone, lost in thought.
"It seems the monsters on the upper floors are completely ineffective as training partners," Sion muttered to himself. He then stopped his descent on the sixth floor.
He decided to use magic to eliminate any excess monsters in a group, and then engage in fair one on one fights with the remaining ones.
His goal was to beco a professional mage, which logically ant he should not need to wield a sword to slay monsters.
But thinking about Alfia.
Who was clearly a mage yet possessed physical power comparable to a vanguard, along with the ability to replicate an opponent's swordsmanship after seeing it only once.
Sion silently raised his sword.
Even without aiming to reach Alfia's ridiculous level, surviving would be difficult without so physical capability.
He needed to be able to stay calm and use magic to defend or counterattack when a blade was inches from his face, rather than freezing up, having his mind go blank due to panic, and dying as a result.
If he died...
That'd just be a pathetic joke.
After an hour of training, Sion had reached the point where he could properly use his weapon without any awkwardness.
His Mind consumption was low, hovering only at about one tenth of his total capacity. After thinking for a while, Sion continued to move toward the deeper floors.
Upon reaching the ninth floor, Sion detected a large cluster of life signs.
"A Monster Party?"
The aura of monsters was different from that of adventurers, and the aura of adventurers was different from that of ordinary people.
Receiving Falna and becoming a familia mber inherently infused them with a deity's grace, so it was only natural that their aura differed from that of ordinary people.
However, the aura of a monster and the aura of an adventurer triggered two completely opposite reactions in his perception.
