Alfia looked at Sion, who had closed his eyes and was sensing her internal state through magic.
At the sa ti, he was concurrently chanting, converting the raw energy from the shattered magic stones in the most stable manner possible, and guiding it into Alfia's body.
Alfia felt a sudden heat in her chest, which then radiated throughout her entire body.
She felt no discomfort.
On the contrary, the phenona made her failing body feel incredibly relaxed.
To put it in perspective, it felt like sinking into a soothing sauna.
Soon, the four core nodes were established, branching out to form 34 array points connected by a network of magical leylines, eventually blooming into white symbol.
"He's still chanting..." Alfia's expression changed slightly as a full minute passed.
This had crossed the threshold of a very long chant.
In other words, the structural complexity of this spell had reached the high tier magic, its difficulty rivaling that of her own spells.
It should be noted that if her spells were unleashed in the middle floors, it can obliterate the entire area.
It was the exact sa spell that had delivered the final blow to Leviathan.
And yet, Sion's spell... in a structural sense, was on that exact sa level.
"Engrave: Inscription," Sion whispered the activation cue.
As the final verse ended, the matrix surrounding Alfia fully stabilized.
"Perfect," Sion praised himself, before collapsing.
Although the ritual utilizing mithril and magic stones carried the bulk of the load, guiding it was still incredibly taxing on his Mind.
Alfia was a level 7 adventurer, and the backlash of her debilitating skill was exceptionally violent.
Suppressing it was no easy task.
"Thank you for your hard work, Sion," teria said softly, bringing over a chair and gently helping him sit down.
Seeing the natural, intimate dynamic between the two, Alfia could not help but feel a sudden hollowness in her chest.
It was the isolating feeling of being an outsider looking in.
"How're you feeling?" Sion asked, looking up at Alfia.
"It feels... good." Hearing his question, Alfia closed her eyes, sensing her own internal condition.
"My body feels much lighter. The skill has been suppressed by 45%. This is higher than I expected."
With her attention now fully diverted to her state, Alfia couldn't help but marvel at Sion's capabilities.
Was this truly a level that congenital magic could reach without Falna?
Recalling the complex formula on the parchnt from start to finish, and correlating it with the magical effects she had just experienced, Alfia was finally able to fully comprehend the spell's structure.
At first glance, even Alfia hadn't understood what Sion was writing. However, if he knew that his painstakingly developed formula had been deciphered by Alfia after just one application, he would undoubtedly be terrified by her talent.
A photographic mory..
It was no wonder her Incarnation of Talent moniker inspired such fear.
"45%... The amplification effect of the ritual is actually that strong," Sion noted thoughtfully.
One of the main reasons for this success was the sheer volu of magic stones he had used. Compared to his own Mind capacity, the raw energy contained in the magic stones was vastly superior.
After being processed and structured by Sion, the energy output was 7 tis greater than what he could produce alone.
It was only logical that it achieved such a nice effect.
"Oh, right, there is one more thing." Sion downed a Mind recovery potion, then looked at Alfia with a serious expression.
"From what I heard from teria, your second spell is an enchantnt that nullifies spells. Don't use it unless absolutely necessary."
"I'm not that stupid," Alfia replied coldly.
All three of Alfia's spells were based on sound waves.
Her first spell was a super dense shockwave generated by sound. Her second spell was an enchantnt spell that nullified incoming magical attacks.
Because it enveloped her body in an anti-mind field, even her own spells would be weakened while it was active.
Activating it would instantly disrupt the delicate balance of Sion's spells
Her third spell was a wide AOE spell, a single strike comparable in sheer destructive force to the shinra tensei.
Any differences between the two were rely in the fundantal nature of the energy used.
"Just in case," Sion shrugged. "I'm your doctor right now, so it's my responsibility to explain the precautions clearly."
"How annoying," Alfia sighed, though she still ntally noted Sion's instructions.
Seeing that the two were actually holding a conversation and that Alfia was no longer as overtly hostile to Sion as she had been, teria breathed a sigh of relief.
"Alright, the next step is to regulate your bodily functions," Sion glanced at Alfia. "Because this requires extrely precise mind manipulation down to the cellular level, direct physical contact is necessary."
"Fine. Let's just use our hands, then," Alfia extended her hand across the table.
This level of physical contact was acceptable to her. And... although she refused to admit it out loud, as her future brother in law, Sion wasn't exactly a complete outsider.
"Sit down." Sion nodded, pulling up a chair so the two sat facing each other.
"However, we need to redesign the magic circle first."
