A military hospital.

Several elderly n in reading glasses and balding middle-aged doctors sat in the conference room, their faces alight with intense curiosity. They had rushed over voluntarily the second they received the news.

More than a dozen soldiers—so missing arms or legs, others missing internal organs—were escorted in, supported by active-duty personnel.

"Is this all of them?" Commander Jas frowned at the small group. His mood soured. Why were there so few? Shouldn't they have brought more?

"Are you kidding ? We only had two hours!" A middle-aged officer in a matching uniform snapped back, cursing. "It takes ti just to make the calls, let alone transport them! These are only the guys who live closest to the base. Anyone further out wouldn't even make the drive in two hours!"

'You try organizing it then.' Gathering over a dozen disabled veterans in just two hours was a logistical miracle. Did he think teleporting people was free?

Realizing this was the best they could do, Commander Jas turned to August.

"August, will this be enough?" he asked cautiously. This was the critical factor.

"It's enough," August nodded. "Bring the first one forward."

Hearing this, Jas opted to start with the lowest difficulty. He scanned the disabled veterans.

"You. Help him up!"

Several soldiers quickly escorted a man missing both of his arms. Jas looked at the forr soldier.

"Listen up. If you feel anything, speak up imdiately. Do not keep your mouth shut. If sothing feels wrong, you tell us," Jas ordered.

"Yes, sir." The supported soldier instinctively tried to salute before rembering he had no arms. Still, his voice was dead serious. "I am ready."

Commander Jas took a deep breath, fixing August with a solemn gaze.

August nodded. Sitting on a prepared stool, he raised his hands.

He began his chant.

"Sacred flas, hear the sorrow of the wounded—[Healing Fire]!"

Because the magic originated from the Danmachi universe, activating the spell required a verbal incantation.

A soft orange fla appeared in August's right hand. The flickering fire drifted forward and wrapped itself around the scarred stump of the veteran's arm.

The mont the flas made contact, a literal miracle unfolded before their eyes.

The sealed stump began to swell. Flesh pushed outward, splitting the old scar tissue apart. Skin knit itself together at a visible pace, while beneath it, blood vessels, muscle fibers, and bone rapidly regenerated and extended outward.

"It's worki—" The officer who had brought the veterans in stared wide-eyed as the realization hit him. But before he could finish, Commander Jas slapped a hand over his colleague's mouth.

Everyone held their breath and watched in stunned silence.

The cluster of fire continued its work, healing, regenerating, and expanding the limb.

"URGH!"

In stark contrast to the miracle, the veteran receiving the flas suddenly convulsed, his face contorting in unbearable agony.

Hestia, who had been watching her child cast his first spell with delight, suddenly stepped forward.

"HOLD HIM DOWN!"

"The tissue generation is too fast! His brain can't process the pain signals!"

"And do not let him pull away! A restorative spell like this cannot be interrupted! If the connection breaks, all the progress is lost!" Hestia barked, seeing that the man was on the verge of thrashing from the shock.

The dical staff had been so srized by the divine magic that they were too stunned to step in. But the mont they heard the goddess's command, they snapped into action and imdiately shoved a rolled towel into the patient's mouth for him to bite down on.

They had already been looking for an excuse to get closer. Now that an otherworldly goddess had given them the go-ahead, they crowded around the patient at once. If anyone asked, it was purely for dical observation.

An old doctor in a white coat leaned in, closely scrutinizing the regeneration process. "The veins are bulging. The nerve regeneration is causing extre pain and itching, triggering a severe stress response in the brain."

"This thod of limb regeneration is violently aggressive."

"Without anesthesia, this kind of rapid regeneration is essentially forcing cells to divide, align, and stretch themselves out in real-ti."

The old doctor made a remarkably precise observation, diagnosing the chanics in the simplest terms.

"You're pretty sharp, old man," Hestia smirked, impressed that the mortal doctor understood the process so well. "In my world, magic of this level is considered high-tier even among established Familias. A spell capable of truly regenerating a lost limb is nothing short of a miracle."

She paused.

"However, since my child is still at Level 1, his control over [Healing Fire] is still rough and unpolished. To smooth out the process, he'll need to level up."

Hestia understood the brutal nature of the spell. It forced the body to regenerate, healing the target no matter how excruciating the pain.

"So the results are imdiate, but the side effects are brutal," the middle-aged doctor said with a knowing nod. The healing itself was extraordinary, but the patient needed nerves of steel to endure it.

Hearing this, Commander Jas stepped forward to offer moral support.

"Hold on! Whether you get to live a normal life again depends entirely on you right now!"

"SHOW YOUR WILL TO LIVE!" Jas shouted encouragent from the sidelines.

Compared to living the rest of his life as a double amputee, a few minutes of agony was a small price to pay.

The veteran seed to hear him. Gritting his teeth against the towel, his violently shaking body suddenly went rigid. He was forcing himself to endure it.

"Good man." Commander Jas was deeply moved watching his forr soldier fight through the pain. Yes, that was the grit he wanted to see.

The ard guards standing by watched the scene unfold, their grips tightening nervously around their rifles. Witnessing it firsthand shook them to the core. It hurt to watch their seniors, n who had sacrificed their limbs, go through sothing like this—yet the miracle unfolding before their eyes was impossible not to marvel at.

And the treatnt's effects were imdiate.

The arm grew back at a speed visible to the naked eye. First ca muscle, then the wrist, and finally a set of brand-new fingers, all forged from the fire.

A fresh, fully functional arm appeared right in front of them.

Soone in the room broke the silence. They stared with feverish excitent, having just witnessed true biological regeneration.

"It worked..."

"It actually worked!!"
