Guided by the map, August and Lili reached the seventh floor.

The seventh floor opened into a vast cavern ringed by steep cliffs. In terms of scale, the chamber easily rivaled Babel's great plaza on the surface. From where they stood, they could see multiple tunnels leading up and down.

August scouted the area and picked his spot.

"This is it." He chose the highest ledge in the cavern, giving him a commanding tactical view of several tunnel entrances.

"Lili, stand right here." August reached into his [Spatial Backpack] and pulled out several heavy-duty ballistic shields, interlocking them to form a sturdy barricade. They were designed to catch stray bullets and prevent deadly ricochets.

"August, what are these?" Lili eyed the tal plates, not understanding the need for the barricades.

"I'm setting up a safe zone. The crossfire is about to get intense, and we need cover from ricochets." He was essentially building a bunker. Once the shields were secured, he held out his hand. "Hand over the bait."

Hearing the order, Lili obediently dug into a pouch on her waist and pulled out several chunks of specially crafted monster bait. Once crushed or ignited, the scent alone was enough to drive Dungeon monsters into an uncontrollable frenzy.

August took the bait. Then, he summoned a large piece of hardware from his spatial inventory. It was a deploynt rig loaded with small, military-grade quadcopter drones, each equipped with an underslung hook.

He tied the five chunks of bait to five separate drones.

"Ready..." August stored the deploynt rig back into his inventory and pulled out a remote control terminal.

The rotors on the five drones spun to life, filling the air with a sharp chanical whine.

He took off his Kevlar tactical helt and tossed it to Lili to wear. In its place, he slipped on a pair of FPV goggles, splitting his vision across five different live cara feeds.

"GO—" August pushed the throttles.

The five drones shot off like bullets, diving deep into the tunnels leading to the eighth, ninth, and tenth floors. The piercing whine of their rotors echoed violently off the stone walls.

"Amazing..." Watching the entire setup, Lili finally believed August wasn't going to use her as live bait. She stared in fascination. The flying machines moved as though they had minds of their own, diving into the lower floors and drawing the attention of every monster they passed.

The whir of the drones was deafening. Flying at low altitudes, they let out a harsh chanical shriek that was impossible to ignore—and combined with the potent scent of the monster bait trailing behind them, it drove the dungeon denizens insane.

Roooooarrrrrrr!

Savage howls rose from the depths. Everywhere the five drones flew, they drew massive waves of enraged monsters in their wake.

But beneath his goggles, August frowned. One of the cara feeds showed a chunk of bait slipping free from its hook and dropping to the ground.

"Guess I didn't tie it tight enough..." he muttered.

Thankfully, the frantic buzzing of the drone itself held most of the monsters' attention. A few stopped to sniff at the fallen bait, but the vast majority ignored it, choosing instead to chase the loud, obnoxious flying machines leading them upward.

anwhile...

As the drone swarm pulled the horde through the labyrinth, several adventurer parties scattered across the lower floors began to notice the Dungeon's sudden and violent shift.

"What the hell is going on? Did soone trigger a Pass Parade?!" A veteran Adventurer shouted.

The roar of monsters rolling through the tunnels was impossible to miss. Any seasoned veteran would have recognized it at once. It was a Pass Parade. Soone had gathered a massive train of monsters and was dragging them through the floors.

"This isn't just a small Pass Parade. It's a full-blown Monster Horde!" An Assassin-class Adventurer pressed his ear to the wall, using his enhanced hearing skill. The sheer scale of the stampede made it obvious that this was no accidental pull. Soone had gathered an overwhelming mass of monsters.

"What did you just say?" The party leader's eyes widened in shock.

They were a capable mid-tier party, more than equipped to handle anything up to the twelfth floor. But facing a deliberately ford monster horde head-on was pure suicide.

Just then, their Pallum scout scrambled back from the tunnels.

"Bad news! A massive wave of monsters is rushing up toward the seventh floor!"

"They're stampeding in the exact sa direction! It looks like they're chasing sothing!" The scout's frantic report left the entire party stunned.

"Don't tell ... is soone actually herding them on purpose?" the party's mage muttered, a bad feeling creeping over him. This did not feel like a panicked party dumping its aggro onto soone else. It felt deliberate.

"This isn't a Pass Parade. Soone is orchestrating a large-scale horde hunt," the Mage deduced sharply.

Hearing the Mage's analysis, the swordsman party leader gripped his hilt. It really didn't sound like a typical panic run.

"Do we go take a look?" the leader asked, morbidly curious. What kind of lunatic would pull a stunt like this? They needed to see it for themselves...

"Let's go take a look," the masked Assassin said with a nod. They had to see for themselves what kind of madman was behind this. This level of recklessness was beyond insane.

"Right." The rest of the party nodded. Only their Pallum Supporter looked like he wanted to bolt in the opposite direction, but he knew he couldn't abandon his party.

Slowly and carefully, the squad moved toward the seventh floor.

And they were far from the only ones drawn by the commotion. A horde of that size was bound to catch the attention of multiple adventurer parties. Anyone diving below the sixth floor belonged to an organized squad. So wisely chose to retreat in the opposite direction, but many more could not resist the urge to find out which suicidal bastard had caused the stampede.

One after another, different parties crept toward the massive cavern on the seventh floor where August and Lili were waiting.

Peeking through the tunnel entrances, they looked inside.

Their eyes widened at the sight. The cavern's basin was packed with what looked like a sea of monsters, all thrashing and roaring at the five strange flying objects hovering just out of reach, while their harsh chanical whine filled the air.

"THAT'S MONSTER BAIT!" One veteran Adventurer spotted the chunks of at tied to the flying objects.

He recognized it instantly. The potency of that specific bait was horrifying. Even a fully geared veteran party would flee for their lives if they accidentally dropped that much.

Yet here they were, witnessing soone intentionally using bizarre contraptions to herd hundreds of monsters into a single enclosed room.

Suddenly, a voice bood out from the highest ledge of the cavern, amplified like a loudspeaker echoing off the stone walls.

"DISAPPEAR!!!"
